The laser was so exceedingly painful, like nothing I had experienced before. I voiced this to Maria, who assured me it was because this was a different type of laser (a "real laser"), unlike the places I had been before, which is why some hair had previously returned. Well, we had previously done a test patch that went fine (save for some lovely, unsolicited commentary that I should see a doctor because I have a lot of body hair and oily skin, thanks Maria). Huge mistake. Clearly she didn't check the settings of the machine that day, because I left with the makings of second degree burns over my face and neck. It's now obvious she realized she messed up, lowering the intensity mid-way through, telling me to call her the next day even though she wasn't working, and giving me some complimentary collagen spray that'll heal it right up, don't bother with anything else. Fast forward a few hours and I'm in urgent care, who gave me an expedited referral to a burn unit. It's now been four visits to the burn unit over several months and time off of work because my face and neck have been red, purple, blistering, and bleeding. At least the wounds have finally closed, but I'm still left with a massive burn scar. When the doctors say "who did this to you", you know it's bad. I'd attach pictures of all the burn stages if I didn't pity the person scrolling through Yelp who has to see that. Maria assured me that this has never happened before... as if that excuses the fact that it happened to me. Well, I hope this review means it will never happen to anyone else. Since this business gives every indication of carrying on their laser use as usual, I am leaving my first and hopefully last Yelp review, to warn that NO ONE SHOULD COME HERE FOR LASER HAIR REMOVAL, EVER.

TL;DR: I spent over $17,500 at Finesse for liposuction that completely failed--and was left with…read moresevere scarring and zero results. I had an unsuccessful liposuction procedure with Dr. Shektman at Finesse. During my initial consultation, their salesperson, Kim, assured me that the procedure would dramatically improve my postpartum body. Based on these claims, I spent more than $17,500--with no positive outcome whatsoever. After the surgery clearly failed (which Kim, Joanna, and Dr. Shektman all acknowledged), they offered me a Morpheus8 treatment, claiming it could correct the skin folding caused by the liposuction. They said they'd "only" charge me an additional $500. I agreed, hoping to improve some of the damage done by lipo. That treatment was performed by their esthetician, Rachel--and it made things significantly worse. Six months later, my abdomen is still covered in severe scarring (see pics). When I sought help, they insisted I come in for a five-minute evaluation by their nurse, Joanna, and esthetician, Rachel--neither of whom has the medical expertise to handle the kind of deep tissue scarring I experienced. Dr. Shektman's only recommendation was hydrocortisone, which is wildly inappropriate for subdermal scarring caused by a failed RF microneedling procedure. The bottom line is: I'm not wasting more time listening to cosmetic "professionals" who are clearly out of their depth and caused the damage in the first place. I've waited nearly a year to write this review, hoping that someone at Finesse--Dr. Shektman, Kim, anyone--would take responsibility and at least offer a partial refund. That never happened. I was misled about what results I could expect, and I now have permanent scarring and an even greater financial and emotional burden. I've since seen two board-certified dermatologists and spent even more money trying to fix the damage done by Dr. Shektman and Rachel. I feel betrayed, taken advantage of, and deeply disappointed. Please--do not trust this place. They'll say whatever they need to say to close the sale, but once you've paid and signed away your rights, you're on your own. The results don't matter to them. Your health and satisfaction don't matter to them. Ironically, I've had substantially better results using Semaglutide (Ozempic), which cost $400--not $17,500--and helped me lose 30 pounds in 5 months. No scarring. No lies. No emotional trauma. It shares a space with a dentist office and is on the lower level with the front door on the left lower side of a 60s style split level building. The inside is nicely decorated and freshly painted. There are minimal decorations, which I appreciate because that helps me relax. The bathrooms are more recently renovated. The staff was very nice to me when I arrived and assured me, I would not wait very long. I needed to use the bathroom before my treatment and I was pleased to see several amenities, including tampons for those of us who still bleed. I was brought into my treatment room by the front desk coordinator person who's maybe a manager? She talked to me about what to expect during my treatment and took before photos. My treatment provider Dana was so sweet. She checked in on me and we chatted about life during my 45 minute treatment. The treatment felt like an intense mechanical massage but at no point did it hurt. It was almost tickly sometimes. I needed to pee again immediately after my treatment. Endermologie gets the lymphatic system moving, and I was shedding a ton of water immediately. This morning I woke up and weighed myself, and I had lost 5 pounds of water weight! I will definitely return to the spa for the same treatment, and maybe some others that they offer. This would be a great treatment for somebody before a big event when they are looking to shed some extra water weight. Like perhaps a wedding or other event where there will be lots of photos and videos.
