I had booked an appointment through Instagram DMs as instructed, had a lovely conversation with my artist's assistant, and sent my deposit to the artist that I had booked with- Amy Heath. However, at 11:30PM the night before my appointment, I received a text that my appointment had been cancelled. To preface a little bit: I had booked for two tattoos, and this would have been my first experience with tattoos. I greatly admired, and truly still do admire, the work of Amy- I was absolutely thrilled to be working with her and planned an hour long commute that was a rare opportunity in order to be tattooed by her. I sent her a quick DM asking why my appointment had been cancelled, and I decided to try calling her at 11:45PM. The first call had no answer, so I decided to just try one more time. She answered, said, "F*ck off, I'm in bed," and hung up. I will attach photos of the exchange that followed. I was truly excited for my appointment, and I would have understood Amy's frustration if she had been polite about it.
