TL;DR: I spent over $17,500 at Finesse for liposuction that completely failed--and was left with severe scarring and zero results. I had an unsuccessful liposuction procedure with Dr. Shektman at Finesse. During my initial consultation, their salesperson, Kim, assured me that the procedure would dramatically improve my postpartum body. Based on these claims, I spent more than $17,500--with no positive outcome whatsoever. After the surgery clearly failed (which Kim, Joanna, and Dr. Shektman all acknowledged), they offered me a Morpheus8 treatment, claiming it could correct the skin folding caused by the liposuction. They said they'd "only" charge me an additional $500. I agreed, hoping to improve some of the damage done by lipo. That treatment was performed by their esthetician, Rachel--and it made things significantly worse. Six months later, my abdomen is still covered in severe scarring (see pics). When I sought help, they insisted I come in for a five-minute evaluation by their nurse, Joanna, and esthetician, Rachel--neither of whom has the medical expertise to handle the kind of deep tissue scarring I experienced. Dr. Shektman's only recommendation was hydrocortisone, which is wildly inappropriate for subdermal scarring caused by a failed RF microneedling procedure. The bottom line is: I'm not wasting more time listening to cosmetic "professionals" who are clearly out of their depth and caused the damage in the first place. I've waited nearly a year to write this review, hoping that someone at Finesse--Dr. Shektman, Kim, anyone--would take responsibility and at least offer a partial refund. That never happened. I was misled about what results I could expect, and I now have permanent scarring and an even greater financial and emotional burden. I've since seen two board-certified dermatologists and spent even more money trying to fix the damage done by Dr. Shektman and Rachel. I feel betrayed, taken advantage of, and deeply disappointed. Please--do not trust this place. They'll say whatever they need to say to close the sale, but once you've paid and signed away your rights, you're on your own. The results don't matter to them. Your health and satisfaction don't matter to them. Ironically, I've had substantially better results using Semaglutide (Ozempic), which cost $400--not $17,500--and helped me lose 30 pounds in 5 months. No scarring. No lies. No emotional trauma. Came across this business for smart-lipo. Everything was good before I got the actual surgery. Paid the (overpriced) fees and got ready for surgery. The hours leading up to my surgery I was given muscle relaxers which kicked in immediately. I was brought back to the surgeons table and he began working on me. I remember the excruciating pain that I was as he made the holes that he was going to use. I felt EVERYTHING. I screamed out to the nurse who was in there that I could feel everything (after about the fourth hole was made) and she ran over with more medicine. I eventually blacked out. Fast forward a few weeks when I went back in to see the doctor. The entire visit was I'd say 2 minutes. He didn't ask if I had any questions. Looked at me touched my stomach and said I'm all set. The entire process was rushed and I had to resort to google to have my questions answered instead of the man I just paid $9000.00 (for stomach and back lipo only) to. I am thinking about going to get 360 lipo but will not be going back to this place. Over priced and you don't get what you paid for. Edit: responding to the business response- the first follow up with the surgeon was a complete joke. He came in...put two fingers on my belly, said I was healing up nicely and took off. Less than two minutes in the room. I didn't get to ask any questions or express any concerns I had. This review is long overdue as I've been coming here for many years. Dr. Kruy is great. He listens, is patient and answers all your questions thoroughly. I've grilled Dr. Kruy about all kinds questions/concerns, etc...about a procedure I was contemplating - he has the patience of a saint. But the thing I like best about Dr. K is that he's a straight shooter and will not promise results that he can't deliver (which is something I really appreciate in a medical professional). To be blunt, a couple times I left here and wondered "rut-roh" did I do the right thing? Was this a mistake? And once the swelling went down, the end result was perfect. Everything the doctor told me was was valid & accurate. Dr. Kruy - if you're reading this - thank you so much. Beware of the sales pitch! I was told that Laser Lipo was the solution to my baby belly. I had the procedure, it was very painful as the doctor was in a RUSH?! After about 8 weeks and no change I went to speak to the owner. I was told that the Doctor that did my procedure no longer worked there and that there was nothing that he could do for me. I was sold a service that could not help me as I need to have it surgically repaired (a tummy tuck is the only thing that will fix me). The owner was not even a bit sympathetic that I had used my life savings of $10,000.00 for this with no result. Be careful of the sales pitch and the promises that you will see the results you want! About 4 years I went to Dr. Kruy and got SmartLipo on my Flanks and abdomen. Not only were the results great, mine came out better then a younger friend of mine with similar body type who went to a plastic surgeon on the South Shore and had the procedure done in a Hospital and paid just under three times what I paid. Oddly some of his anti-aging services are far above market price, even ones the benefit from a skilled physician. Specifically the injectables are on average about $100 to $150 higher then market price and that's when they are having a sale Their Fraxel is way off price more then 3 times the amount of many places example vitalizemd.com in Westborough is about $500 a session and Dr Nawab is skilled as well. So I would shop around but you can not go wrong with his abilities. The person on here L.P. who gave the one star review must have the wrong place or something because he is the only Dr there, and I was there for a consult just this month and have also been there for laser hair removal which was also effective. Again if you the type of person who is worried about getting a botched Job I can reassure you Dr. Kruy will take good care of you! He will even tell you that if for some reason something does not come out right he will fix it at minimal cost to cover supplies etc But guess what! You wont need too!! On the plus side, the consult was free. I was interested in getting IPL to reduce redness on my nose. The doctor who provided the consult seemed annoyed by the request and told me "there's really nothing we can do for facial flushing." I initially thought he was doing me a favor and being honest, but when I told a friend who'd had IPL, he suggested I get a second opinion. This place is terrible and dishonest. I only wish I could leave zero stars. I purchased a Groupon on July 6, 2017 for laser hair removal. When I called the same day to make an appointment, they told me they hadn't offered that Groupon deal "for a while." The woman I spoke with was rude and also called me "honey," which I find to be incredibly condescending. As of today, July 13, 2017, the deal is still posted on Groupon. Well first off the place is way over priced I had a few things done there and found out they over charged me a lot of money. I had Botox and it cost me over 800.00 dollars the first time and for the same thing 3 months later it cost me 600. When I questioned them at the front desk they told me they gave me a deal for being a return customer. First time the units were 12.99 and second time 11.99 some kind of special deal Then they told me I had over 52 unit done which was a lair I've had Botox before for the same locations at another Dr office and it only cost me 200 for the same area's. I also got smart lipo done and spent over 8,000 dollars and was left with a hole in my body from a cut so big and fat pockets all over my body I had to go to another DR. and have another procedure done to take out the fat that the first DR missed. Do NOT bank your Botox!!! A rip off. I bought a certain amount of units enough for two sessions. When I arrive he says while just looking at me, that I need the full amount that I had purchased just for between my brow! The person that I usually go to said that it was double the amount she uses. I have been a regular client of Finesse Laser & Lipo Center for almost 3 years. Prior to coming to Finesse I had tried Botox at a number of centers, both MD and RN injectors. I can honestly say that the job Dr. Kruy does is head and shoulders above any other injector I have gone to. He never tries to upsell and his results are consistently excellent. As a long time patient I took advantage of the introductory special that they ran on the new Cellulaze treatment for cellulite. I had this done a few months ago. After getting this a few years ago, my stomach looks like hell and it will never be the same and I can never wear a bikini and I can barely feel sexy in stomach-bearing lingerie either. The very small dot-scars are not the issue. It's the uneven appearance in my skin that looks disgusting. It's like I have lumps in some spots and it just looks abnormal!! Either the doctor performed a hack job on me, or I happen to have a body that does not heal properly after being jammed with a long tube over and over again. For the $5,000+ that it costs (tears), it is NOT WORTH IT!!!! Do not attempt this. Go to every other avenue before you resort to Smart Lipo. I beg you.....count your calories and work out 30 minutes a day 3 days a week and it will be a MUCH better result. Dr. Kruy & his staff are simply the best. I was referred to this medispa for botox in 2013 & have been going regularly ever since. In 2014 I moved south of Boston & tried a salon closer to my home once. I immediately realized the importance of a highly skilled professional doing the injections because I was not happy with my results. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Kruy, he is fantastic, my results are amazing every time. Other reviews have referenced the use of high pressure sales tactics but that has never been my experience. When I inquired about Juvaderm fillers, Dr. Kruy provided detailed information, answered all my questions & actually told me he didn't feel I really need to use fillers just yet. I decided to pass and neither he nor anyone on his staff attempted to change my mind. The salon pricing is also very reasonable, I paid 30% more at the other salon with much less satisfying results! WOW! That is all I can say about my experience at Finesse. I have now had several procedures done here and am beyond pleased. My experience from my initial consultation right through the post care of my treatments was nothing short of exceptional. Nicole and Alison at the front were extremely welcoming when I arrived and made me feel very comfortable. They answered all of my questions and were extremely knowledgeable. I have to admit, I was definitely a little nervous going in not knowing what to expect! I then had my consultation with Dr. Kruy directly.... and it was FREE! Other places I had called wanted close to $500 before I even met the Dr??? Dr. Kruy was extremely upfront and honest and offered me a few different options for treatment. I ended up doing Smartlipo in my abdomen area and the Cellulaze treatment on my legs. My results are amazing!! I have never been comfortable showing my legs and have always been bothered by the weight I have not been able to get of in my love handle area! I recently went on vacation and for the first time felt comfortable and even confident in my bathing suit! (YES, It was a two piece!). My legs are smooth and I have a defined waist line and no "hangover" I highly recommend this office to anyone looking to have treatments done.
