I've come here a handful of times now for Botox injections and have been so impressed with the service and experience. I started off seeing Joann and, most recently when she was unavailable, saw Leslie. Both ladies were incredibly warm and friendly and made me feel at ease, start to finish. Not to mention, and mostly importantly, they gave me terrific treatments with no side effects and phenomenal results. I love their location on Patterson - the space feels very clean yet chic. Also, Katie at the front desk is always super nice and easy to schedule with.

Has anyone had a chemical peel and microneeding done? How long does it take for your face to be back to normal or at least presentable?

Chemical peel takes a day or two to actually peel. Then maybe 3 days after. Everyone skin is different. Microneedling your fine after your services

I absolutely love the staff everyone is so nice and it was really easy to get in soon. They fixed my problem, answered all my questions thoroughly and I really love that I could just pick up the phone and someone answered when I needed it. That was a huge gold star for me because there's not a lot of places where you can call and actually get a person on the phone these days. Overall I had a great experience and would definitely be back if ever need be in the future. Thanks again!

I will go to UVA in November to have my scalp removed from my forehead back to the crown. I don't know how extensively it has grown on the sides. It won't kill me, but it is going to change my life substantially. Think about this if you still want to make an appointment with Avenues Dermatology for anything other than Botox. Someone should have done a biopsy years ago. So take care and ask for a biopsy if you have a scaly spot that doesn't go away.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this practice and the people who make it exceptional…read more I've been coming here since before they expanded, and watching their growth has been incredible. What has never changed is the kindness, compassion, and genuine care they show every single patient. Kat is truly a miracle worker. Her skill, knowledge, and artistry are unmatched, but what sets her apart is the way she treats people. She listens, she cares deeply, and she creates an environment where you always feel safe, respected, and supported. Knowing she is both a nurse and soon to be a doctor only speaks further to her dedication and commitment to doing things the right way. The entire team reflects that same spirit of excellence. * Jess, the front office manager, is remarkable. She is organized, welcoming, and consistently kind - and knows everything about the product lines they carry. * Christian is the glue that also helps create a positive, encouraging atmosphere. * Megan is incredibly warm and attentive, with such a calming presence. She is knowledgeable, thoughtful, and makes every appointment feel comfortable and seamless. * Alessandra is equally wonderful, talented, patient, and genuinely invested in making sure you feel cared for and confident. Her kindness shines through in everything she does. (also bilingual, which is AMAZING for those who are more comfortable speaking Spanish!) Truly, every single person you encounter makes you feel valued. This practice is built on compassion, integrity, and genuine human connection; you can feel it from the moment you walk through the door. It is rare to find a team this skilled and this authentically good‑hearted. If you're looking for a practice where the results are beautiful, but the people are even more beautiful, this is the place. Five stars genuinely isn't enough. I hope this helps others feel as great as I do when I walk out that door after my appointments.

I was scheduled with Kat and she was fantastic. After years of Tox, most places and people around Richmond want to OverTox you. More is better right? Wrong! I appreciate Kats understanding of the science behind all of it. She is a researcher, who knows the body and the product. She never pushed more product. Infact, she used quite a bit less than I am used to getting. So refreshing. You can always add more. I'm used to going outside of RVA due to the high prices, overtoxing, and not getting the product you pay for. However ,I might have just found the best Tox (etc) in RVA. Love the introductory pricing on Dax

This is my preliminary review based on services so far. I'll go back and update after the surgery…read moreitself, and again after my recovery period (3 months). I've seen Dr Sundin at this practice for my upcoming liposuction. He was very friendly, professional, and thorough in explaining my options, treatment, follow up, and answered all my questions. My surgery is tomorrow and I feel very confident thanks to the doctor. Based on the outline I've been given, I don't expect hidden fees (obviously if that changes I'll say something). I have already gotten my medication for post surgery recovery so I won't have to worry about running astound, exhausted and in pain waiting to get my meds. Everyone has been super friendly and helpful and despite youse being elective surgery, no one has come even close to body shaming me which I appreciate. I'm happy with my body and weight, with the single exception that I'm going in to address. At no point did the doctor attempt to disparage any part of my body, even what I came in to address, only asked what I wanted. Edit: Post surgery I can't tell if the hospital tried to double charge me or if there was a genuine computer issue, but the intake rep was great and only charged the correct amount. The lead up in hospital was friendly and helpful, answered all my questions ahead of time. My follow up is later today since one of my incision sites is leaking. Overall, I'm very sore, but only in minor (threatening to verge into extreme) pain when I move or make to stand up. My legs feel fine so I keep thinking I should walk around, but I know better thankfully. The drainage site is right at my panty line so I'm having to wear my panties a few inches lower than I normally do which is a little annoying but whatever. Depending on when surgery is, I definitely recommend dresses immediately following to accommodate access to drainage bulbs. I left around 5pm yesterday and got home and settled at 6pm after my scheduled start asst 12 noon. That's all I can think to share that's relevant but if I think of more, I will of course edit.

I am deeply disappointed with my experience and surgical outcome…read more I underwent a liposuction and abdominoplasty with this surgeon and the results were not what was promised or reasonably expected. The incision was placed approximately 2 cm higher than where it should have been, causing my belly button to sit noticeably higher and giving my waist a squared appearance rather than a contoured one. Despite undergoing liposuction, there is still noticeable residual fat remaining on my abdomen. In addition, the incision was closed without adequate tightening, leaving visible bulging above and below the incision that creates a quilted or puckered appearance. I now have a pooch that I did not have prior to surgery. Liposuction of my flanks and lower back was missed entirely -- not once, but twice. I even underwent a second liposuction procedure, and the flanks were still not properly addressed. The ends of the incision also have what appear to be "dog ears," further affecting the cosmetic outcome. Despite raising these concerns, providing photos, and attempting to have a reasonable discussion, the surgeon would not acknowledge the issues or take responsibility. I was repeatedly told that "no harm was done," and therefore no refund or corrective support was offered, even though the agreed-upon services and expected results were not delivered. This has been an emotionally and physically difficult experience. I am now seeking revision care elsewhere. Based on my outcome and the lack of accountability afterward, I would not recommend this surgeon to anyone considering body contouring procedures. Feel free to reach out 540-336-8162 for more info of my experience with this surgeon. Happy to provide more before and after photos as well. See this surgeon results in attached photos.

Even though I'd already done my research and all I needed was pricing information to make an educated decision on where to go for my microneedling treatments, the woman on the phone was not able to provide that per their predatory pricing policy, wasted my time by talking in circles for 10 minutes, gave me enough attitude to ruin my day, and made me feel annoyed, unattended, and frankly disrespected. Certainly she knows deep down how simple it could've been if she didn't work at such a sketchy company to openly share prices so well-educated consumers can make free decisions about where they spend their money. But thanks to that rude attitude and their (excuse my French) stupid policy, they've lost a returning customer. Don't spend your money here!!!!

It was clean and pristine. It was professional, and I actually believe that everyone that worked there was a nurse. The front desk ladies were super kind and extremely helpful and knowledgeable of all the services. It's unfortunate because I made a move to Virginia beach and guess what... A beach city with no laser away. What the heck... It doesn't even make sense. But I still had five sessions to get through. So I'd make the 2 Hour Drive. up to Richmond, Virginia. This is the nastiest LaserAway I've ever seen. This is the second time I've been at this location and both times the bathroom was in disgusting condition. It's shocking that medical procedures happen in this office with the level of cleanliness that is acceptable here. I'm extremely disappointed. I will not be traveling to this location anymore. I'll have to fly to Atlanta or back to California to get the remaining three treatment sessions done. It's just disappointing because we spend so much money to remain loyal to this company, that it's strange to even have to ask for a clean bathroom in a medical grade facility. The staff is extremely kind and easy to work with. But I hesitate to get any procedures done in a place that allows such disorder in what should be a sterile environment.

I'm new to the area and decided to give this place a try, as my skin hasn't been at its best recently. I was lucky enough to get an appointment with Shia. From the very beginning of the session I could tell she was brilliant just from the questions she asked me. Her knowledge of cosmetic skin disorders and their treatment outweighs most, if not all, of the dermatologists I've seen. As a physician myself, I like to think I'm good at assessing this. Shia explained that although my skin type wasn't right for "granular exfoliation" (what I'd received in other facials in the past that I had bad reactions to), I was a great candidate for microdermabrasion. She used this treatment along with quite a few others, always being attentive to how my skin was responding. She gave me advice on what skincare regimen would work for my skin. I can tell my skin is already looking better (less than 24hrs later), and I'm excited to continue with Shia monthly for as long as I live in this area! Already referred a friend to her as well. Go. You won't regret it.

Shortly after, I ended up getting a cold and a cold sore, and now I'm left with a scar on my lip. My daughter also had a terrible reaction--she broke out badly after her facial. Customer service and management are worse than the service they provide. As a physician, I take hygiene and safety seriously, and this place completely missed the mark. I will never go back and would not recommend it to anyone.
