I booked an appointment online to get an acrylic manicure and regular pedicure. Appointment was confirmed and everything. I planned my whole day around this. Getting my hair done and leaving work early. I get to my appointment early and the door is locked. I wait around until my appointment and no answer when I knocked on the door. 5 more minutes go by and still nothing. I love this spa! I have been going to Spa Valencia for several years for eyebrow waxes and facials (which are by far the best I've ever had), but recently I decided to try laser resurfacing on my face! Christine does a great job of making sure you are comfortable and answering all your questions. She explained everything step by step as she did the treatment. I am only a few weeks out from my first treatment. Wow! I cannot believe how amazing my skin already looks. This is incredible. I can't believe the change! I am in my 40s so I have a combination of different issues-some sun damage, freckling, red areas, brown spots and really overall uneven skin. I also have some acne scarring and the fine lines/wrinkles that come with "being in your 40s". The laser literally lifted my damaged brown spots (skin damage) off my face and it flaked away in a few days. What?! Yes. Crazy. I can't believe how much money I've spent on different creams and serums and blah blah blah everything trying to "treat" my skin issues-and the expensive full coverage make up and concealers, etc.. now realizing they weren't really fixing anything. The damage was still there. I'm so glad I decided to go for the skin resurfacing! Actually making my skin healthy. Repairing the damage from inside my skin and I know it will be a little while before I see the full results but I'm already amazed by how much better my skin looks (and feels). NOT WORTH THE GROUPON!! I purchased the Groupon for the 6 eyebrow waxes and I am beyond disappointed. First visit in and the lady messed up my eyebrows, making them uneven. The lady said that I should wait a bit for part to grow back and she would fix them up the next time, but I have been calling and leaving messages for a week and a half and no one will return my calls or answer the phone for a follow-up appointment. I bought a groupon recently for eyebrow waxes and went for the first time last week. Sadly, I have to say this is the worst waxing experience I have had in 14 years. They weren't able to break a $20 bill and required that I pay for my services prior to me even having them completed, including the tip which they then charged me tax on! I can't tell you who the woman was that performed the services because she never introduced herself and was extremely rude. From the time I walked into the room until I was brought back she was on the phone having a heated discussion about her building rent. My eyebrows are different shapes and sizes and even after trying to show her, I felt as though I had no choice but to accept them as the way they were for fear of how they might end up worse. Unfortunately, I will not be using the remainder of my groupon here and am willing to lose the money I paid and chalk it up to a really expensive lip and eyebrow wax.
