This place is rad. And kinda cozy. For those who want to dress in cool vintage clothes, this is your spot.

From the very beginning, Jerry took the time to guide me through the entire process of building my first custom suit. We carefully reviewed every detail, from the collar to the cuffs, and I quickly realized just how meticulous the art of suit-making truly is or perhaps that level of precision is simply Jerry's signature. At the first fitting, Jerry proudly presented the finished suit and shirt, walking me through every thoughtful detail. He explained the stitching, pointed out how the trousers were subtly tailored at the hem to drape perfectly over the shoes, highlighted the custom embroidery, and even showed the sweat guards sewn into the suit--along with countless other details I would have never noticed on my own. His enthusiasm and pride in his craft were unmistakable, and it was clear that he genuinely cares about creating something exceptional for his clients. I walked away with an incredible suit and tie, and an even greater appreciation for the craftsmanship and passion that Jerry brings to his work.

This place is nice but maybe a little overrated…read more Jerry's not a bad guy and probably not a bad salesman. I thought I was coming in for a consultation, and I liked the fabrics and patterns we came up with, but he was disappointed that I was not ready to throw down $4,000 for the custom suit that day. (He convinced me that anything cheaper in his shop wasn't worth my time.) I can see why he likes to close the deal the day of. The more I thought about it, the less comfortable I felt throwing down than much for this suit... I had a few other reasons, too. Anyway, I sent a message to the store the next day, politely explaining why that I appreciated Jerry's time, but the shop wasn't for me. Jerry ended up calling me, and I wish I hadn't answered. He started trying to get me to get his cheaper stuff that had already talked me out of. He was pushy, dismissive of my reasons and all around unpleasant. I think they have some off the-rack suits available, too, and I believe they offer tailoring, but I am no longer interested. He'll probably respond to this and be dismissive again, but those are my two cents. He has a nice assistant. I won't pretend it's bad quality. Still three stars.

Finding this place for our wedding was honestly one of the biggest wins of the entire planning…read moreprocess. I originally planned on having all my groomsmen rent suits, but once I found this shop and realized it was actually cheaper to BUY full setups here than rent somewhere else, it became a total no brainer. The pricing is honestly insane for what you get. For under $200 out the door, we got the suit, shirt, tie, belt and shoes. They also have pretty much every color you can think of which made it super easy to coordinate everything for the wedding. What really stood out was how helpful they were throughout the whole process. They kept track of all the pieces for each groomsman so when everyone came in, everything was already matched and organized. That made things way less stressful on my end. A couple things to know going in: they don't have an in house tailor and the pants come unhemmed, but they have a bunch of tailoring recommendations and it honestly wasn't a big deal considering the price. After the wedding, I ended up going back and buying 3 more suits because the value is just that good. As long as I live in LA, I'll keep coming back here.

I cannot recommend this store enough!!!…read more I procrastinated on picking up a suit for a wedding this weekend, went to all of the usual places in panic on Thursday afternoon, Macy's, Nordstrom, etc..., and couldn't find anything I actually liked for the prices I was going to have to pay at those spots. Came home Thursday night and Googled "last minute suits Los Angeles" and came across several Reddit threads recommending Al Weiss Men's Clothing. Made it over to them at 10:30 am Friday morning and a gentleman named Eduardo quickly assisted me and helped me find a great suit in the exact color I'd been looking for (deep forrest green) immediately. The price was incredibly fair and Eduardo pointed me to Silver's Tailor Shop across the street to have my new suit quickly fitted to me. By 11:15 am I was headed home, at 11 am the next day I picked up my new suit from Silver's and it fit perfectly. At 4 pm yesterday I arrived at the wedding feeling very good about my purchase, and the new suit got me compliments throughout the entire event. Been spreading the good word about these guys for the last 48 hours and will definitely be back to them for future suit needs; hopefully on a less aggressive timeline.

Hi all! I rarely write reviews but after my last visit, I have some thoughts. I visited once a few…read moreyears ago, but I'm saddened to say that the quality has gone down and I don't know if I'll be returning any time soon. The shop has a great selection of jewelry and knickknacks, but the clothing is extremely limited - especially for the price point. I'm not even large in size, but all of the clothing ranged from size xxxxxs - medium (yes, an actual piece had 5 x's). Now this really wasn't the problem since I got some jewelry and the owner even comped a broken pair of earrings! Now moving on to the customer service. I understand the owner has some concerns with shoplifters, but the way she now conducts the store is overkill. You have to call to get in, and she locks you in once you're inside and she is the only one "allowed" to let you out. She also was so intense towards me and other customers in the shop that it took away from the pleasant experience I was looking forward to. What I mean by this is: 1) Every item has a "DO NOT TOUCH" or "NO PHOTOS" or some other loud sign that makes it impossible to move throughout the store or explore items. 2) Any time I picked up an item, the owner immediately hovered over me and 'offered' to take it to the front before I was even done looking at it. This happened 3 separate times. 3) The owner actually SHOVED my mother to the side to race to the door and let some customers out since they're locked in and not allowed any autonomy to leave despite MULTIPLE cameras everywhere. Mind you, the owner had on thick platform boots and stepped on my mom's foot and didn't say 'excuse me' or anything of the sort. 4) The owner was extremely hypervigilant and would stare down customers while frowning at them (no joke, just like this: ) all while customers were just looking at pieces (because they were not allowed to be touched). 5) The breaking point was when I had just purchased my earrings and was moving to leave, but the owner genuinely started mumbling to herself and eventually got louder, saying, "No, no, no!! This guy's a bad guy!! NO NO!! HE'S BAD UGHH!!!" and started to duck behind the counter and pull at her hair. This freaked me out because now I'm locked in this shop with her as she's tweaking. I turned to my mom and, at that instant, decided we needed to leave at that very moment. The entire experience was bizarre and it's evident that the owner's experiences with previous shoplifters has translated into something that denies the customer a decent experience. The entire shop's atmosphere was paranoid, stifled, constricted, and anything but decent/relaxed. Good music though. I bid good luck to anyone that dares venture into that cutthroat space.

**TLDR** Why I Loved…read moreIt 1. Size Inclusivity - Samples up to size 28; great coverage and fit. 2. Stylists - Diana and Jill were prepared, helpful, and hype-women. 3. Environment - Clean, modern, and high-energy "Yes" vibes, but not forced 4. Location - Easy freeway access and dedicated parking. ******************************************************* First off, CONGRATULATIONS on your engagement (or the engagement of someone you love)! Dress shopping can be a whirlwind of stress and uncertainty, especially if it's your first time navigating the world of bridal gowns. After visiting five other shops between the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles, I finally "Said Yes to the Dress" at Luv Bridal (Los Angeles). I'm honestly gushing because the experience was just that good. Finding "The One" (Shop, that is!) I found Luv Bridal through a Google search for the best bridal shops in LA. It was ranked near the top, and the article mentioned this is a flagship store. That gave me hope they'd have a massive selection and--more importantly--the plus-size samples I needed. As a plus-sized girly, the struggle is real. It's incredibly stressful trying on dresses that are way too small or don't offer enough "coverage for the girls" to even visualize the final look. Luv Bridal carries up to a size 28, which was well above what I needed. Even after visiting a specialized plus-size boutique nearby, Luv Bridal was the one that delivered. The Logistics (What you need to know) The Vibe: It's in the LA Fashion District. It might look a little "sketch" outside, but don't let that scare you! Parking/Access: There is plenty of parking in the lot behind the store (we even saw a security guard!), and it's right off the 10 highway for an easy getaway. The Space: Modern, clean, and massive. They have hundreds of gowns and about eight fitting rooms, each with private seating for your squad. The Perks: They provide a snack tray and water for your group, plus a dedicated refreshment station if you need more. They have jewelry you can try on to get a better picture of what you and your dress can look like on the big day. (And yes, the restrooms are clean!) --- The Service I called on a Sunday during a holiday weekend and spoke with Diana, who was so kind and informative. She squeezed me in for a same-day appointment and was 100% prepared when I walked through the door. Unlike other shops I had visited, there is currently no charge to book an appointment. Every other shop I had visited charged between $25 - $75 just to try on dresses. I am actually okay with paying a small fee for someone to support me while I find my gown. My stylist, Jill, was a total pro. She looked at my inspo photos, asked about my "hard pass" criteria, and went to work. Trying on dresses with her was actually fun. The whole shop had such a joyous vibe--while I was there, three other brides said "Yes" too! I honestly wanted to apply for a job there just to be around all that love. The Verdict I officially found my dream gown and I can't wait to go back in October for my fitting. Ladies, take it from a former "Elite Yelper": whether you make Luv Bridal your very first stop or your absolute last, **DO NOT MISS IT.** This experience was well worth the 350-mile trip from SF to LA.

This was my 4th and final dress try on stop! I came last minute on a whim (confirmed a day before)…read moreand thought "why not go in for one last appointment justtttt to see some more options". After a while all dresses blend into a sea of indistinguishable white fabric. Luv bridal was such a pleasant surprise that kept surprising us. First, they give you a 90 min appointment and allow for 4 guests. Most places limit you to an hour or 4 dresses max, and 2-3 guests. We were never once rushed, everyone from the second we stepped in was so pleasant and lovely, and high energy, which was a nice surprise as it was a busy Saturday and there's a huge sale going on. Never felt chaotic or like they were dying to get rid of us! My friends and I went to Anthropologie a few weeks ago and the stylists looked so tired despite only having 2 brides trying things on at a time, and an empty relaxed showroom. I didn't mind much because working retail is so taxing and annoying, but it's such a stark contrast to our experience here. The people here are true PROS. Shoutout to Ariel and also Diana who were absolute ANGELS. Ariel is one of the kindest people I've ever met, let alone shopped with. She completely understood my vibe and ideas despite giving her contrasting adjectives like "whimsical" and "classic" and "sexy" and "elegant". She and Diana kept all of these detail in mind and pulled dresses that were so flattering, it was hard to make a decision. But a clear winner was a rare Vera Wang find that was off the rack! They have a free parking lot, offered us snacks as well as waters, and we're so thoughtful to remind us to take photos throughout the appointment. I will recommend this place to every bride I meet. Their selection is incredible, and they are true experts in their fields!
