I saw Bri for a quick 30 minute session and left feeling super relaxed and realigned. Bri asked exactly what I was looking for and was able to cater to my specific needs - also recommending some areas of focus that I hadn't considered (but am so glad I let her work on). My Amazing Girlfriend wanted to gift us a couple's massage. After doing some research, we settled on Space Massage Studio. Our experience with them was great from beginning to end. Contacting them on Friday, for availability that weekend, John was able to fit us in on Saturday morning. Perfect! John was busy and said he would contact me later to get my information. I can respect that, and told him I would send him that info in the meanwhile, so as to help streamline the process. He suggested, and I used the contact from their web page to send him our information. John called later, as he promised and we reviewed and confirmed everything for the following morning. John also took the time to make sure I absolutely understood how to find their location, since it does not have street visibility. Much appreciated. We arrived on Saturday morning, and had a truly great experience. John and Lana were very professional, kind, courteous and met all our expectations. Rebecca provided one of the best massages I've ever had -- and I have had many. I have painful plantar fasciitis that affects my feet, achilles, and legs and I asked Rebecca to focus on those areas. Like my physical therapists, she was able to relieve much of my pain and made for an incredibly relaxing experience. I also have bad neck pain from poor sleeping as of late, and have never had a helpful neck massage -- until Rebecca's. We my daughter and I decided to try it out as they had great reviews. So off we went, from the moment you walk and smell a light aroma of things to come. We went over a quick assessment of what each of us was looking for and of we were off to the races I had Corey and my daughter had Hailey. My daughter more so than me walked in super stressed... The atmosphere, room temp, sounds, smells and just overall vibe was chill like a warm cup of cocoa whispering out to you come in relax, breath all is well with the world. The room was super relaxed and I think at one point I dosed off Corey listed well and could notice where on my neck and shoulders were tight. From my wife: I went in to Space Massage yesterday after being referred by others, including my daughter who went back in November. I had John as my massage therapist. THE BEST MASSAGE I HAVE EVER HAD!! Seriously, it was that good! Extremely professional, John gave me an idea before to know what to expect including a little stretching, little moving, and a whole lot of relaxation. I loved that he said before he got started, that once he starts, he doesn't talk, which is great, gave me the chance to just relax and enjoy the actual massage. I was in Heaven! I hate to be that guy, but I have to leave this review as I found this place on yelp and went they're trusting all of the 5 stars. After more than a year of not seeking any type of massages due to Covid, me and the wifey were very excited to check this place out. We both requested 90 minute deep tissue massages. Now I know most people request deep tissue ,but can't really handle it, but me and the wifey we love our deep tissue. If we don't leave crying you did not do your job. We are both very active and avid hikers and both do our own daily PT and Myofascial trigger point release using all kinds of PT tools at home so we go DEEP, So much so that I normally request a male masseuse, as most of the time unfortunately the female ones are not strong enough. I made sure to stress on this point when I made the appointment, and was reassured that the two assigned were more than capable. Sadly at the end of the massage both me and the wifey left feeling like we got petted for an hour and a half! Very disappointing to say the least specially when they charge Spa pricing. I'll give 3 stars because the place was clean and they were professional, and the technology that they used to make the booking & payment and confirmations were on point, too bad they couldn't deliver the full package, oh and did I mention the music is playing way too loud in the room. All I have to say is we are sadly disappointed that we spent spa money to get a mediocre massage. read more

Today Vanessa worked all my muscles and got the knots out and added CBD cream. I could barely walk earlier this week. this review highlights going above and beyond. The front office sent me reminder texts and called. Then when the elevator wouldn't come, she went down a flight (in 100° weather) to send it up to me. Honestly, my massage was so good it felt like I went on a spiritual journey. This was my first time visiting here, and I went based on the Yelp reviews. I got a 90 minute massage with aroma therapy and hot stone add on. I had had a WEEK when I booked and needed to just go all out. My person was Gabby, and holy moly does she know what she is doing. I asked for firm pressure and told her my neck and shoulders were sore (I'm hunched over a keyboard for work everyday). There were a few moments where I thought the pressure was too much, so I breathed through it and then it was like magic I felt better. I 100% recommend the hot stones, that was a very pleasant add on. I won't get the aroma therapy again - i couldn't really smell it. To be fair, I haven't gotten my smell back 100% since getting Covid l last year, but for me didn't add to the experience. The woman who checks you in was so sweet and calm. The vibe of the place is very calm and zen. I will definitely be back, and honestly I don't know how I will ever not have a 90 minute massage again. It's like 100% better than 60 minutes. read more

John came out of a room a few minutes later and his energy was wonderful, I instantly felt at ease. I had a 90 minute deep tissue massage and it was seriously the best massage I've ever had. I don't know why I have waited so long to write my review for John and Space Massage Studio. I believe I have gone to John since he opened a couple of years ago...and I never wrote a review. I am a bit ashamed....but I think I have a really good reason (or two) I tell all of my friends that they need to go to John...but when it comes to why they should...there is so much into why that I didn't know how I could parlay it into words. Over the years John has become more than a massage therapist to me....he has become somebody that gives great advice and actually listens to what I have to say. And because he listens...my massages are always customed to what I NEED! Not what I want...not a massage that you can get anywhere. Example last week when I got my bazillionith massage from John. I mentioned to him that my job requires that I now where high heels....he knew that while my back was messed up he knew that my feet and lower part of my legs needed added extra attention. Just through conversation he knew what I needed. And to me this is the most important thing I need from a massage therapist (or any therapist!!! HA!) John is so attentive and really really really does give the most amazing massages in the universe! As a massage therapist myself, I'm quite particular when I get bodywork. I know what's possible in an hour and I have high expectations. I have known about John and his work for some time. Finally, I had the opportunity to experience his artistry for myself. Last week was my second time back. John knows what he's doing - not just with the technique of his hands but also in getting the client in the proper mind set with his spa-like atmosphere. John is extremely aware of sensation and the sensory input the client is receiving on his table. He is aware of everything you might be sensing and feeling - from the temperature in the room, to the temperature of your body, from the volume of the music, to the sound of your breath - and he makes sure that it is only pleasurable. John doesn't mindlessly grind away at your muscles. He incorporates his heightened sensory awareness into the work he's doing. He'll use hot or cold when appropriate. He understands the sensory effect of rocking the body, or how it's going to feel when he changes the rhythm or speed of his hands. All of his techniques are informed by the overall sensation it will create in your body. Combined with his exceptional knowledge of the body, hand strength, and expert techniques, this is a very advanced approach to bodywork. I can recommend John without hesitation. read more

Also kinda of a weird location, but once inside I was somewhat at ease, I filled out paper work, told him my Problem area which is my back then went and proceeded to get my message... We start with me face down and once I turned over this is were it got weird ... He does my legs then proceeds to Message my BREAST I've been to many places and no one has ever tried or even ask to do so ... I'm not sure if thought I wanted A happy ending or what but this creep was totally out of line ... Ladies I suggest you not go to him & if so you are going at your own risk !!!!!!! -------------------- So I just received a comment from John saying I was never a client which is false ... He romodeled it to create SPACE. A special zen like massage studio in which you leave your shoes at the door. His persona is Zen and he is a very quick read into you. I've had the opportunity to visit and be pampered by the very best spas. John has also been working in several of the Valley's very top spa's for the past 10 years and brings these experiences to the (massage) table. Pun intended. I disagree with another writer who says this is a perfect In-betwen massage. I prefer SPACE to all other massages. I've been coming to Space for almost 2 1/2 years now, and John Hill gives one of the best massages I've ever had; he's ruined me for any other massage therapist. The studio is very calming and exceptionally clean. It's tastefully decorated, and I instantly shrug off my stress when I walk through the door. John has such a kind and calming presence. Okay so throughout my life, my mother has made it quite clear to my sisters and I that making time for spa treatments is ESSENTIAL. That being said, a few times a year, my sisters and my mother and I head to the spa. One aspect of spa-ing that I never really enjoy, is the fact that I have to deal with overly chipper receptionists/spa employees that want to "make my experience just perfect". After many spa experiences, I realized that I have never actually gone in and had a massage. Facials, wraps, etc. yes, but never a massage. How is it that I skipped the classic? Well, as luck would have it, I met John. I was quickly informed by multiple sources that this man is a massage guru. A friend even went as far to say that if I ever want to get a massage, it should most definately be from him. Alas, I had to give it a whirl. In December 2009, I made my first visit. When I came to s p a c e I was immediately pleased by many things. First and foremost: no overly chipper receptionist! John invited me in and engaged in massage talk with me, taking a small and necessary history. After that he led me over to the studio. It's beautiful. Its absolutely beautiful. The lighting, the colors, the scent...the whole situation just works. John inquired about any personal tweaks needed, and then left to allow me to get comfortable. Get comfortable I did! I tend to be cold and mildly anxious most of the time, but this was not the case at s p a c e. The massage table is heated. Yes. Heated. And quite cushy :). John came back to the room, and this is the part that I liked best: no more talking. Just the music, the scent, and me feeling quite fantastic. I think I fell asleep, just for a second, which is rare because I typically dont relax that easily. I could tell John knew what he was doing, because he didnt need to ask me questions. It's like he read the way my body reacted to specific movements and acted accordingly. When it was time to come back to reality, John let me know very gently. So much so, actually, that even while I was dressing and preparing to leave, I could still feel...s p a c e. You will know what I mean when you go try it. read more

Everything about my experience at Space was nothing short of bliss. From the warm reception to the time when I floated back to my car to head home for a night of peaceful, uninterrupted slumber, it was fabulous. I first learned of Space via Groupon. I can't even remember how much I paid for it because I bought it so long ago. I've recently been dealing with lots of stress and the nasty side effects of it. So I decided to go see John for a 60-minute retreat. I was not disappointed. The space that John has created and the energy that he exudes are calming, soothing and relaxing, even before you remove so much as your earrings... With warm, rich wood floors, soft lighting and a playlist that I simply must have, we were off to a fabulous start. John gave me a cool towel (which was lovely, as I have been battling a marathon migraine) and left me to disrobe. In the buff and ready for healing touch, I slipped into the cool sheets John had turned back for me on the table. John returned to the room and homed in on my problem areas in a way that was both strong and soothing. We had already discussed my trouble spots and it was obvious that he used both that conversation and his naturally high sensitivity level to provide me one of the best massages I've ever had. By doing this, he was able to receive feedback from me without either of us uttering more than a few words, which ensured the trance was never broken. My brother told me about John when I woke up one day and could not move my neck. He was able to fit in a half hour appointment that day which I happily took. Even though he did not know me and had squeezed me in on short notice, he took the time to learn about me when I arrived and make me comfortable. The massage was like a magic trick, and I walked out of his studio on cloud 9. Fast forward a year or so, to when I started realizing that massage is not just an ER room for when you hurt yourself and cannot move properly. I have seen John again for an hour session and just as I remembered, the studio makes me feel calm as soon as I arrive, and John is attentive and enlightened. I had been very busy caretaking for my husband after a surgery and this session was a complete reboot for me. I cannot recommend John and his studio highly enough, and being right in my neighborhood doesn't hurt! There are lots of massage deals with big name chains, and the resort massages are serviceable, but at times too chatty or distracted. This is the only place I will be booking maintenance massages from now on. read more
