I rarely write negative reviews, but this was hands down one of the worst service experiences I…read morehave ever had. What should have been a simple one-mile move turned into a stressful, expensive, and poorly managed ordeal. The crew arrived roughly four hours late after a last-minute crew replacement, I nearly missed my flight because of the delay, my furniture was left partially assembled, my instructions were ignored, and the apartment was left in complete disarray despite paying a premium price. To start with a positive, scheduling the appointment was easy, and both the dispatcher and moving crew were polite. Unfortunately, that was where the positive experience ended. When I booked the move, I made it very clear that I needed to leave for the airport at 7:00 PM. I was assured the crew would arrive between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM and that the move would take no more than three hours. I had already moved approximately 50% of the apartment myself, leaving only the larger items that required professional movers. Throughout the day, I repeatedly called dispatch because I needed to reserve the loading bay and elevator in my building to make the move as efficient as possible. During one of those calls, I learned that the original crew assigned to my move was not going to make it. Dispatch switched crews and sent a replacement team, but they did not arrive until around 4:00 PM. To make the move easier and faster, I had already disassembled one of my beds. When I mentioned this beforehand, I was told that everything was fine and that it would help speed up the move. At no point was I informed that they would refuse to reassemble furniture disassembled by the customer. Because of the delay, I had to leave for the airport to avoid missing my flight. I arranged for a building guard to stay behind, supervise the move, and assist with any issues. I also clearly instructed the crew where furniture and boxes should be placed and told them to call or text if they needed clarification. Instead, I returned to find the apartment left in complete disarray. One bed was assembled, but the other was left disassembled. Only afterward was I told over the phone that they would not reassemble it because they had not been the ones to take it apart. Had this policy been communicated beforehand, I could have planned accordingly. The crew also left dressers, storage cubes, and other furniture scattered throughout the living room rather than placing them where requested. I specifically instructed them that if certain boxes could not fit in their intended locations, they could leave them in the kitchen. Instead, everything was simply unloaded into the living room with little effort made to organize or place items as directed. I have attached photos showing the condition in which the apartment was left. To make matters worse, the final price was significantly higher than expected, especially considering the delays, incomplete work, and lack of communication. Between the missed arrival window, last-minute crew replacement, poor communication, failure to follow instructions, incomplete assembly work, and excessive cost, this was easily the worst moving experience and one of the worst service experiences I have ever had. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience. Edit: Calling the number provided in the business review is not helpful as I was in a 25 minute queue with no answer. On top of that they do not want to respond to the email I sent them in hopes of resolving the issue.

Had a problem where they suspected damage years ago and they had to check the storage unit…read more.. Didn't get much info but apparently it was ok? We came in and everything was fine but we should have been notified immediately. This year the price has gone up closer to almost another extra 25-30 dollars if I recall and that's a pretty big hike considering it was like 50. Also considering the fact we were *NOT* notified despite them assuring us they sent word out (only after the fact when called) so I'm not sure if that was sheer laziness by not checking all the boxes or if they were just trying to pull the wool over our eyes. We literally only found out upon paying it after the new year. No mail, texts, or anything. We're thinking about cleaning it out and bringing things home because moving everything somewhere else or finding someone to do that would be too much of a hassle as I'm very disabled and can barely get out of the house. Can't fault them for this but not a very good situation to be in and I still hold a lot of grief regarding my father and another relative's deaths which is what forced us to get a storage unit in the first place because of my father's sister locking us out when I was still basically a kid. She took the house and lives literally right down the street from where we ended up having to put our stuff. I feel bad for the staff because just judging by the way they worded things and their tone of voice when asked about the increase ('it's the owner') he sounds like a piece of work

In both cases they came promptly and were friendly. The bad: The storage lockers are open only from 7AM to 7PM, seven days a week. Maintenance staff is available only from 7AM to 3:30 PM, Monday thru Friday. Passengers are not allowed in the freight elevator. The elevator has both an inside door and an outside door, both on ground level and on the second floor. If all four doors are not closed and latched, the elevator gets stuck and you have to call maintenance. You have to climb a flight of 17 stairs to get to the second floor because you can't ride in the elevator.

It was a gamble as we had not heard much of this company and it was literally everything she owned for school except what was in her carry-on suitcase. We returned in September and found everything intact and well cared for. The crews (both pick up and drop off) were polite, professional, super-hard-working and very accommodating. They have this college storage field down to a science! We were in touch with management (Andrew) over a question about storage and payment and he was incredibly professional! Excellent customer service! We will definitely be using them again this summer, and every summer going forward!

I especially valued College Storage when my son was required to quickly pack up last March at the beginning of the pandemic. I couldn't help my son move given we live in the Midwest. They also supported us through Brown's changing decisions regarding the return. Once again, my son received his items back in perfect condition. I can't say enough good things about College Storage!

Do NOT EVER use this storage facility. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I moved into…read morea 5x10 storage and began paying $114 per month. Within a few months my price increased and it continued to increase until I was told my new monthly rate would be $298. The company never notified you in advance of these rate changes, and the service and quality of the unit does NOT warrant these types of prices. I went into my unit and it was COVERED in rodent poop. Bags were eaten through, poop was all over the floor, all over my furniture, and in boxes that were closed. The unit was so hot and humid and it was unbearable to breathe due to the amount of soot and feces in the unit. The couch got hit the worst with the infestation as it is covered in decomposed rodent poop. I asked the company if they could dispose of it due to their negligence and they told me that I needed to get rid of it myself. They said if anything was left I would be charged a hefty fee which is ridiculous considering my furniture is now ruined and instead of taking it with me on my move I need to dispose of it AND buy new items. I asked the woman working if she could at least reimburse a month's rent due to the state of my belongings and she said there was nothing she can do. This place knows that there are rodent issues. They have bait traps all around the units and the facility is quite frankly disgusting. I am so mad at myself for paying as much as I did to now have to go out and buy all new furniture. I will NEVER rent from a public storage company ever again.
