He trains other physicians in this technique and has been performing it longer and more often than anyone else in the U.S., which is exactly why I was willing to fly to New York for it. I could not be happier with that decision. I wanted a very natural result, just a little more fullness up top, and went with 160 cc in both breasts. Dr. Epstein's expertise with Preserve is what sold me. Honestly, the part I was most nervous about was going under anesthesia. Because Preserve is so minimally invasive, I was able to have sedation instead. Dr. Spaliaris, the anesthesiologist, was an angel. She called me the night before to walk me through everything, and by the time I was in the OR I felt completely relaxed and genuinely excited for the procedure to start. That says a lot coming from someone who was terrified. The whole thing was quick. I was in and out in about three hours. I only needed Advil and Tylenol for the first 24 hours, and the discomfort has been very manageable. Best of all, my results are perfect, and I'm only three days out. What I appreciate most is that Dr. Epstein and his entire staff truly listen. They take the time to understand what you want and make sure you're comfortable every step of the way. I went back for the 10 month follow up 3/14/2026 as explained by the clinical director. After the tech took the pics, she asked me if I was happy, I said NO nothing's changed. I want my money back. That Monday the clinical director called me Jemima. She told me she saw a little difference, and she asked me what I wanted to do. I said I want my money back she said no but, I could come in and try a different procedure. I told her NO for 2 reasons 1) you told me it was a onetime procedure 2) that I was given the strongest dosage 3) I would still have to wait another 10 months to be disappointed, and besides every time I called which was too many times to count because I wasn't seeing any results. Everyone kept reassuring me to wait and give it 10 months it. I will be happy you'll see. 12 months later I still have the eye bags. It clearly DID NOT WORK FOR ME. Then, I was surprised to hear that most people don't get numbing cream for Botox with her. I didn't trust that so made sure to have it put on. I have been frequenting Romero clinic for quite some time ...I'd say probably over 10 years... But…read morethings have changed there dramatically ..you can't even get an appointment by phone ...you have to text and they don't answer you back sometimes. You have to text repeatedly ..that right there just makes me nervous! That as well as the fact that Dr. Romero goes away for very long periods like a month at a time to his "farm" in the Philippines... Whatever that means and leaves his nephew who he says he trained personally and who is not a doctor nor a dermatologist nor an aesthetician to do his work. He did some work on my face and I was not at all pleased with the results. When I mentioned it to Dr. Romero he became completely standoffish. I had never made a complaint about anything in the entire time that I've been there and I gently described to him my issue and he told me that it was all in my head that from where he was standing it looked great. Well it did not look great and I'm not going to have somebody tell me that it's all in my head. Several other reviewers here have said the same thing about him for years now. He cannot stand one drop of criticism. If that were my customer I would not treat them the way that he has treated those of us who have brought up a concern about our treatment. Very unprofessional also very un compassionate. I now go to a board certified dermatologist and have never been happier. That is all.
