I personally have left his office without having any procedures completed because he didn't think it was necessary at the time. I have been frequenting Romero clinic for quite some time ...I'd say probably over 10 years... But things have changed there dramatically ..you can't even get an appointment by phone ...you have to text and they don't answer you back sometimes. You have to text repeatedly ..that right there just makes me nervous! That as well as the fact that Dr. Romero goes away for very long periods like a month at a time to his "farm" in the Philippines... Whatever that means and leaves his nephew who he says he trained personally and who is not a doctor nor a dermatologist nor an aesthetician to do his work. He did some work on my face and I was not at all pleased with the results. When I mentioned it to Dr. Romero he became completely standoffish. I had never made a complaint about anything in the entire time that I've been there and I gently described to him my issue and he told me that it was all in my head that from where he was standing it looked great. Well it did not look great and I'm not going to have somebody tell me that it's all in my head. Several other reviewers here have said the same thing about him for years now. He cannot stand one drop of criticism. If that were my customer I would not treat them the way that he has treated those of us who have brought up a concern about our treatment. I unfortunately bought so called hydroquinone pads that Dr Romero mixes himself there are 60 pads in a container that he said would last 90 days Using one a day. Bad math. Didn't notice the 60 number till I got home. So far the spots that I'm using it on are even darker then before use. No idea what's in this expensive jar of junk. I came to try to help with marionette lines at the mouth. Romero said the way to do that was to inject Juvederm into the cheeks. I really didn't want too much cheek filler so we did a smaller amount to see what would work. He injected and when almost done he looked and added more on the left side. Not on the right where the dent is. The next day I started getting pain on the left side when I ate from the salivary gland. And dent on the right side Still there. I called and they said let it settle. But nevertheless the salivary gland was painful when eating. He seems to have injected the gland as this pain was no coincidence. Dent still there! I went back 6 days later and Romero refused to take any responsibility and clained that I did not get enough filler. He didnt offer me any help with the gland Or the dent. I had to go to Urgent care and get antibiotics. And yes the dent is still there almost 3 weeks later. I have been going to Dr Romero for years for Botox. He is always friendly and addresses any questions or concerns with patience. I tried to go to another doctor about a year ago. I told him that Dr Romero injected 42 units. This doctor told me that I needed more and tried to get me to pay for 60 units. I ran out the door and went straight back to Dr Romero. He makes suggestions for treatments that he thinks will improve your skin, but he's not pushy. I 100% recommend him. Only issue is the wait times. When you book your appointment plan to wait at least 15 minutes. I've frequently waited over 30 minutes. read more

I absolutely recommend Dr. Romero for Botox injections, especially in my case, where I get the injections to relieve my eczema. I'm 24 and have suffered from severe incurable eczema for my entire life, and have been past the point where I cannot stand the pain of it. No previous topical or internal treatments have worked, and if they have they are harmful with long-term use. After researching a bit about possible treatments, I saw Botox has been known to relieve the dryness and itchiness, as well as the discoloration. The pain of the dry skin started receding around day 4 after my first injection in my forehead. I've been coming to Dr. Romero for a little over 5 years, religiously. I'm just turning 45, and tell everyone all the time because of how incredulous people are. Straight up, I was called a "freakin liar" once going through security at the airport. The look on people's faces damn near pays the bill! Now, I'm not saying that he's a miracle worker, and I'm not saying botox is magic. I'm very careful about sun protection, I use the best reviewed moisturizer I can (afford), I take vitamins, drink lots of water (and tons of coffee), yoga and meditation, stay away from sugars, etc. I stay healthy. All that said, he listens to my concerns, places the just the right amount of botox with perfect placement, and that means all my hard work isn't cracked, creased, and undone by the general unavoidable stressor of life. No frowning, squinting, high brow raising, skin ruining over expression for me. You can keep it.
