Spaghetti and Polpetine, garnished with Parmesan cheese.

Wonderful dinner at the Spaghetti House. I had their Spaghetti and Polpetine (Spaghetti with meatballs) and an appetizer of olives. Absolutely delicious. The spaghetti was perfectly cooked, the sauce is clearly homemade and was in ample quantity. The meatballs were incredible and perfectly spiced. Olives bowl made nice nibble food. Generous portion, quick and professional staff. Overall very tasty dinner.

This satisfied my taste for Italian food. We tried the penne alla norma and the maccheroni vegani. Both were good and came in a decent portion but the penne alla norma had a bit more flavor to it! Service was great and attentive and inside was clean and had good lighting which is rare for Italian places. I recommend making reservations if you can since the table space is limited.

We wanted a restaurant within walking distance to our hotel (London Marriott Park Lane) which is on Hyde Park. Safe area as we walked in the early evening. Employees and servers are very nice and they work very well together to ensure that you have a great experience. Ordered the Caesar salad (good but not going to blow your mind) and entrees Spaghetti alla Carbonara and the Tagliatelle salsiccia e funghi. Both were tasty. The pasta tasted like they make it in house and was perfectly al dente. It's a small place with about 5 tables and 4 booths. Very welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely go here again when we are back in London.

I am being generous with my 4 star review because the service was excellent! I ordered a side salad and the penne with eggplant. The sauce was a nice flavor but I only spotted 2 small chunks of the eggplant in a bowl packed full of penne. My salad was SOAKED with dressing making it mostly inedible. I would haves asked for the dressing on the side in hindsight. The meal was not a good value at all. And I left feeling very disappointed. I won't spend my money on a subpar meal next time.

I came for some of the yummy bruschetta, red wine and some spaghetti puttanesca. Friendly staff here, nice relaxed ambiance. The wine was a house wine, red, was tasty. The bruschetta was delicious, the puttanesca hit the spot.

The Italian drink with Prosecco that was recommended

We had dinner here tonight and loved it! We probably arrived at 5-5:30pm, and we were seated immediately. The restaurant was easy to find by foot (we walked from the Hyatt on Churchill), clean and family-friendly. For our 6 year old we ordered a fried dough appetizer that came with a tomato sauce (which was really good but I forgot the name of the dish) and a very good sized-dish of Spaghetti Bolognese - all for $6. His dishes were all very good. My husband ordered garlic bread and we got two salads on the side. Our waiter recommend we get two different types of salad, and I'm glad he did because both were good - not fancy, but very fresh. I had their lasagna, which I loved. It's individually baked and tasted great. My husband had some seafood pasta which came with a generous portion of shellfish and pasta. I also asked for Prosecco, but the waiter recommended an Italian drink that is made with Prosecco, which I liked. Overall we had really delicious food. The waiter listened to what we wanted, but made suggestions for new things that were similar to what we asked for - with no pressure to order what he suggested. I loved it and when I visit London, I won't mind eating here again!

It's ok. The fresh pasta is better than dried ones. A small and clean restaurant in Uk is quite common. But the taste and pricing does not shine.

If this restaurant was a chain, it certainly didn't seem like it. We enjoyed eating here--clean and moderately priced. Apparently, they cater a lot of private parties downstairs, but we ate early and were seated straight away. Our waiters (several served us) were attentive--for London--but not as present as we had hoped for. Our drinks went empty for more than a few minutes, and we had to ask every time we needed something. The food was good. I had the pot of clams with linguine, and it was fine. My friend has spaghetti and thought it was just average in quality and taste. The soda drinks were typical for London--no free refills, and we had to ask for ice. I liked Spaghetti House. We liked the area and thought the restaurant was nicely situated just off busy Oxford Street. There's a Patisserie Valerie across the street, so skip the pricey desserts and cafe by heading to P.V. instead.

Amazing authentic Italian food. The caprese and lasagna was to die for. The house merlot was perfect. This was a great find.

Great food. Not too busy Nice choice of deserts. The booths have plenty of leg room ;-)

Panciotti. A starter portion, perfect for me!

I made reservations over the phone for lunch with a friend a day before our lunch date and the person who took my call was very friendly! On getting there, the staff were very nice, friendly and welcoming. We ordered, my friend had the taglietelle pollo and I had the panciotti. They were both really tasty!! What I really loved was the portion sizes they have for the pastas. There's a normal portion and a smaller one which they called 'starter portion' The only problem I had was that they do not give the complementary bread before the meal. They asked what we wanted bread/olives? We chose olives and paid for it!! I will definitely go back though! Good service!

I had the bolognese and the tiramisu. You should get those too. They were great. Maybe the best I've had. Seriously, this place is amazing.

Great people, great food, great fun. Not pretentious, but we had a great meal and a good bottle of wine to boot. Casual atmosphere.

Everyone was attentive, welcoming, and made the whole meal feel easy and relaxed without being too formal. Food wise, everything was really good. I ordered the cacio e pepe and it was cooked perfectly. Simple dish, but when it's done right, it really hits. The drinks were also great and ended up being the perfect start before walking around the neighborhood afterward. Overall, just a really solid Italian spot in a beautiful part of London.

The hostesses were nice but spunky, taking no crap whatsoever. Our waitress was very nice. We had a stop and chat with her midway through the meal. There was a variety of wines at a variety of price points. The primitivo got the job done. The restaurant presented an excellent bread basket to start. It was delicious- a great contrast to the notoriously bland bread that we recently had in Florence. We shared an order or grilled asparagus to start, in a somewhat futile attempt to be healthy. It was pretty good, but there were a lot more interesting choices at the top of the menu. My wife had the tortellaci with ricotta and spinach. It was very good but was sitting in a pool of butter. I had tagliatelle Bolognese. It was good. Very nice space with very good food. Keep the outdoor seating in mind for a nice day.

The bartender was absolutely charming and amazing, and he made a truly outstanding Ramos Gin Fizz (a cocktail from New Orleans that few people know how to make, and even fewer want to make). Not sure how that cocktail came up, but he seriously deserves a round of applause for making not one, but two. He truly revived my soul! I split the gazpacho and short rib pasta with my husband. The short rib pasta was magically both light and hearty; it was exactly what we needed after 18 hours of travel. We frequently travel, and I am highly skeptical of Italian food when outside of Italy. Bocconcino was an authentic experience that rivals many of our meals in Rome. Maybe it was jet lag, but I did almost lock myself into the water closet and luckily after a few minutes manage to unlock the stall door without calling for assurance. I suggest visiting with a friend for gossip and security! As far as ambiance, there was great people watching with the Saturday evening patrons; it was an experience in learning about London 'going out' fashion, and watching the very attractive staff interact with customers was a prime education in upper class customer service/flirting. My parting comment is that the bartender stole my heart and I hope to have another of his delicious beverages on a future trip!
