When I arrived Hiromi offered me some water and to sit down to discuss my skin. From there she created a facial to suit my needs. The facial included cleansing, gentle exfoliation, removal of blackheads and impurities, facial reflexology (so relaxing!) and LED light therapy. I purchased a Groupon to Spalani and the experience was amazing. I was only in town for 4 days on vacation and Hiromi was able to fit me in without a problem. The location was a breeze to find and it had parking. Hiromi was inviting and pleasant. The office is well appointed, even though it's all in the same room (reception area and treatment area) she does have curtains that were pulled to give me some privacy while changing. What a truly wonderful experience. Over the summer I was in Hawaii for a small trip with family and I was lucky enough to sneak away some alone time before returning to the mainland. I am a self-proclaimed skincare junkie and I decided what better time and place to treat myself to an aesthetic gift than Hawaii. I did my due diligence and searched yelp for a 10/10 esthetician and I was introduced to Hiromi at Spalani. I read the reviews about her and her services and decided to give her a go, because the praise for her talents was so immense. I called and she answered, not some telephone robot, and I made an appointment for her signature facial. It includes the skincare portion and a facial reflexology massage. This particular service is $160 and probably the most expensive facial I've ever had, but as you will be able to tell it was well worth it. I ubered to her location, a very nice and secure office building, and was able to find her spa quickly on the building directory. Upon entering her spa, she greeted me with a nice cold glass of water and invited me to sit down with her and describe my skin concerns and questions. This is already more attention to detail than I'm used to when it comes to aesthetic services. Not only was she attentive, she was a great joy to converse with and get to know. She explained to me all about the skincare line she uses and how the different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid absorb at different depths on the skin and she took great care to answer any questions I had regarding every product. I even ended up falling asleep during the facial and did not recall dozing off. I cannot explain how artfully Hiromi put me at ease. After the facial, payment was made and I tipped her graciously. We even spoke for at least twenty minutes afterwards about ourselves and our mutual interest in skincare. I think the best part about Hiromi and Spalani is not only the services you receive, but every bit of personalized and almost spiritual care she puts into what she does. I cannot recommend Hiromi's talents and services enough, she delivered everything I wanted and more. My only upset is that I probably won't be back in the Honolulu area for a long time and it breaks my heart that I might never be able to get this kind of service and attentiveness again. If you have the chance to book a service with Hiromi, you should take it. I highly doubt that you will be disappointed. read more
