They didn't charge for the service call and had an estimator, Omar, out here the same day. He laid out all the options and we chose our new HVAC. They scheduled our install for the following week, which is unheard of in this post-pandemic world. Randolph and Bryan showed up on time and were quick in their work. They completed the install and clean up by early afternoon and took measurements for a new custom door to cover the HVAC system. Today Andrey came to install the custom door. He was also quick, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. In fact, everyone involved from start to finish was top notch. The entire process only took three weeks, as compared to five months to replace a broken garage door in 2021 and a year to replace our kitchen in 2022. We already trusted Air Stars because we had them install Mitsubishi ductless units 18 months ago in our granny unit (to replace baseboard and wall heaters and to add A/C). We are very pleased with Air Stars and would recommend them.

Peter…read morecame by, gave me an estimate that seemed reasonable, and did the work quickly and efficiently. This was no small feat given the weird crawl spaces in my basement, that he had to crawl into in order to replace some pipes. Somehow he was amazingly cheerful about this! Of course, given my 1890 house, fixing that pipe uncovered a clog further along in the pipes that was stopping up my sink. So today James and Mason came out, cleaned it all out, showed me what the pipes look like on their very cool camera device,and now everything works like a charm. I thought the prices were very reasonable, and the estimates accurately reflected the final cost. All along, everyone I dealt with was great, from Marcus on the phone setting up the appointments, to Peter/James/Mason doing the work at the house. They were friendly, professional, explained everything, left everything neat and took care of the small details, and were very nice to and amused by my dog, who was doing his best to "help" their efforts. Haha, "help." Overall, this is now my only go-to place for plumbing/drainage problems - which are likely to be a recurring thing given the age of my house. I forget which other maintenance person recommended them, but I'm glad they did. I've had leaking pipes in the past where the leak was so bad that the water had to be shut entirely off, and the companies I dealt with then could never tell me anything more than "well, we're really busy, we MIGHT be able to get out there next week" etc. It was always nerve-wracking, calling different places to see which ones could come out first. I can't imagine that being an issue with Evergreen, given how prompt they've always been.

What's worse, is the service tech didn't understand how they did the pricing because "it is all one cost". Had I known I was paying almost $600/hr for service, I would never had agreed to it. I only found out the pricing AFTER it was installed when we asked if it was covered under our warranty, and he talked to a manager. I spoke with Bree this morning who said she might be able to come to my property today to look at a…read morepipe leak under the house, for a $100 fee. I appreciated that she might make it a same day appointment but the problem was not urgent. When she arrived, she quoted me: Option 1: $592 to do a "4-5 year (spot) fix" on the pipe ("one hour" of work) plus the $100 fee for a total of $692. Option 2: Replace the whole pipe (15 feet to each joint, "all day" job) for $817 total. I chose Option 1. Then she called and said the pipe was leaking on both ends, so I had to do option 2. Then she called me again and said when she was replacing the pipe, another pipe broke (another 15 foot section) and the new estimate was $2326! I was shocked. So she said, she could "cap the one that broke but you won't be able to use that sink." With no choice given the situation she described, I agreed to the repair... however, in THREE hours, she said the job was done. Given her original explanation of a full days work for 1 pipe, I expected 2 days of work for the 2 pipes. She clearly misled me about the scope of work. As much as I would like to support a young, woman plumber (having been a woman business owner myself), I can only tell you that you should steer clear of this business or expect to be taken advantage of, just like I was. She has only had her plumbers license for 2 months- hope she learns that misleading and misrepresenting her services will not lead to a successful long-term business.

Leak still isn't fixed…read more This man seems to think it is ok to cuss at clients via text. He was unable to do the work while I was home due to the fact that he purchased chipped sink. He did the work while I was on a work trip and my boyfriend let me know that that a rebuild he did was not done and in fact leaking in a different place. He returned to fix it. I am still out of town do not know of its correct and simply asked to get a invoice to pay email via square. (HE HAS SQUARE, I run my buisness viasquare I sent him screen shots on how to do this) this is when he started cussing. I told him it's not smart to cuss at clients and as a business owner he should know how to do this. Square will protect me if the work is still not right. I do not want to give a stranger my credit card number when the work was not done right the first time. Seems simple enough. Cussing. At. Customers. Is. Not. Ok.

Gabe and Owen went down and found right away that some pipe hangers were too tight for when the pipes expand a little. They replaced them for a lot less, and the noises went away.
