We waited quite some time and I was starting to get nervous that my 6 year old wouldn't last much longer. I watch as each barber takes their time on each of their clients. There is clear pride in the styles they create and service they provide. I secretly hope my son's barber will be quick. Finally (when I say this, I mean it as a Hot Mess Mom with 2 kids, not an independent adult with a normal attention span), my son gets his turn. As he climbs into the chair the barber asks what I'd like done. I tell him anything that's quick and easy to maintain. Throughout the 30-ish minute hair cut my son wiggled. Played with the sheet cover thing. Asked questions. Itched his face. Played with the cut hair. But he also sat quiet. Saw how other men behave. And most importantly the stylist got wind that there isn't a male figure at home and instantly changed his demeanor towards my son. Postured himself as strong but safe person. A man that showed respect and patients. It was nice to see someone not only take pride in their work but also have great patients and gentleness with my kid. A kid that can be a challenge. That has a hard time sitting for more then 5 minutes. Who's energy is through the roof. Thank you Mr. Barber. We will be back.

The first issue was the quality and consistency of the haircuts, specifically from the barber on the end. On one visit, I specifically asked for a very low taper and was given something much closer to a mid fade. I remember he didn't even shave the back of my neck. On the next visit, my beard line was trimmed without me asking for it. It completely changed the shape of my beard and left me with no choice but to shave it off and start over. Those experiences were frustrating, but I still decided to give the shop additional chances. My final visit was the last straw. I waited about 30 minutes, which was understandable since the shop was busy. However, when I was next in line, one barber finished his client and went on lunch. Then another barber finished his client and also left. No one acknowledged me, gave me an estimate for the wait, apologized, or communicated anything. After waiting another 30 minutes, I finally left. What frustrates me most is that I've been there multiple times, tip generously, and have tried to be a loyal customer. At no point did it feel like my time or business was valued. There are too many good barbers out there to deal with poor communication, inconsistent service, and a lack of respect for customers' time. I'd rather wait in a new line somewhere else than continue giving my money to this shop.
