Vacuum area is properly stocked with towels, though a separate spray bottle with extra cleaning fluid would be welcome. Their scanning equipment conveniently relies on a license plate read rather than window stickers, eliminating the need for that ugly window sticker a competitor in town still requires even after their most recent software switch. Overall, very happy with my wash experiences at this location. read more

This location caused multiple scratches to my truck during a wash. After I completed their damage report, they stated they could not determine whether the scratches were pre-existing and declined to cover the repairs. We have experienced repeated issues at this location. Do not use them. read more

This location is the worst one. The angle of the cars and the vacuums makes it impossible to clean anything past the drivers seat if you are not on the correct side of the stations. To top it off, the teenage boys they have working always park their stupid cars spaced out in the very few useful station spots making it so you are unable to adequately clean because you are squeezed in too close to other cars and on the wrong side of the station. Bought a truck two weeks ago and went into this car wash a few times. On the last time, it resulted in paint being stripped off during the wash. After filing a damage claim and having a back and forth with, what I assume was their claims representative, they informed me they would not cover the damages because they claimed their equipment did not suffer a malfunction and were so sure that the area that suffered the damage from their car wash had to have been repainted. I tried explaining that I just bought the truck two weeks prior and the carfax showed zero accidents or damage in the past. Evidently that wasn't good enough. I say all of that to tell anyone reading this, while the majority of vehicles that go through these types of car washes don't receive damage, understand that if yours does....don't believe for a second they will be honorable and cover the cost to have it repaired, even if there is video footage of it happening in the car wash. I believe this rating of this car wash is about 2 to 3 if not lower, a couple of months age I had a run in with a manager who I spoke with and he was not to professional at all. I am a veteran 100 percent disabled and was washing my old Ford Ranger, and I went thru the car was and noticed they did wash the sides of my truck, They disabled the side washers when I went thru. I asked the manager at the time a much younger guy than me. I having gray hair and looking old at 70. He stated they turned it off because my back bumper was bent in on the drivers side. I asked about a discount or getting my money back because of that and he stated I could not use the car wash until I fixed my truck. I asked him why didn't they stop me from going thru, instead of making me pay and letting me thru. He got offended and pulled out his cell and started video me and told me to leave the premises or he would call the police. I was stunned, he acted like I was a criminal committing a crime. Well I now use a different car wash, still have the bent rear bumper and all is well. I have conversed with a lot of supervisors in my life, but dealing with this one, he was very unprofessional. And I am still working full time and love the work I do and also am a supervisor at another job. Purchased a $25 fast pass about a month ago. Was told it includes everything but wax. The first wash I noticed there was no tire shine on the passenger side of my suv. Same thing happened a few weeks later with the second wash. I called the office since no one seems to answer at this location. The nice lady told me she would get in touch with them to take care of it. Had my third wash today. Same thing happened. I noticed a truck next to me in the vacuum area had shiny tires on their passenger side. Long story short, the manager Ricardo called me to say that the issue is my Rav4. Since it is a "smaller" suv the tire shine thing won't work on my passenger side. BUT, it works on trucks and cars and regular size suvs. Says my RAV4 is "wider" than all of those vehicles. I am not sure why the employees feel the need to crowd around the card reader. When they literally take the credit card out of your hand at the self checkout, and won't even let you choose your own carwash, it's completely frustrating, not to mention the least safe Covid practice. I would upgrade my wash if I could do it on my own, but when the employees try to do it for you, it makes me only want to do the cheapest one. read more

I don't understand some of these reviews. If you come in the busiest time of day, they may be out of towels, but otherwise they are stocked full of free towels, vacuuming, window spray, and are so nice! Fast, easy, convenient and great location. The people are always cheerful, too! read more

The sparkle express car washes are all over the city which makes it very convenient! The staff is very attentive and rarely is anything down or out of order. I will say that some of the vacuums lose pressure but this is a rare occurrence. Out of 100 uses it's probably happened 4 times to me. read more

I would give zero stars if I could! I will never return to the Sparkle Express on Washington Road, I have used their Furys Ferry and Belair locations; however this one is by far the worst! I purchased the $10 single wash like I do everytime. The teenage boy barely sprayed my car with the soap and must not have even touch my car with his mop because there was visible dirty and bugs left on the front/back bumpers. Once on the track, my car wasn't even sprayed with water! Some soap was sprayed from the top, but the spinning wipers barley touched the sides of my car. At other Sparkle locations there is a large mop that goes over your entire car, but this location either doesn't have this feature or it just wasn't working on this occasion. Once out of the car wash my car was still mostly dry and still visibly dirty. I will be using the Furys Ferry from now on, their staff is much nicer and you can find an actual adult to speak with. read more

The worker ringing me up failed to tell me there are no vacuums due to the coronavirus.. until after he rang me up..then refused to give me a refund.. for a $7 car wash.. when I requested for my money back the young disrespectful, incompetent kid working arrogantly remarked "I'm not giving her her money back.." I asked for a voucher for another wash to use when the vacuums are back in service and I was given a voucher good until the next day. Great deal on the monthly draft for the unlimited wash until you try to cancel. Tried to call 2 weeks before draft. However, as a business I was told I have to call back. "We have no way to remember that far in advance. You will have to call back or it will draft come out again and nothing can be done about it." For how much this car wash costs, I think you're getting a terrible return on the quality of the car wash for the value of what you pay. My car still looked dirty on some parts, including the hood and Windows, which is some of the more obvious parts you want to be cleaned. Paid $15 to go through the mid-grade wash. I'll just be washing it myself to actually remove the water stains. I wouldn't recommend this car wash to anyone, not sure how they're still in business. read more

Just paid $30 to have my car washed. Not only did I pull up and to vacuum cleaners or broken and not usable but I walked around my car and it was so filthy dirty with spots all over it. I didn't pay the $5 car wash I paid the $30 car wash. They sent me back through and my car still looks the same had to move from two or three places in order to find a vacuum cleaner that was usable that I could use myself the manager on duty was very rude and sarcastic had one little smudge on my door and he tried to tell me a normal wash but not get that off I took a napkin and wiped it right off myself do not spend your money come into this car wash you're better off washing your car yourself and your own driveway. Just paid 25 for a wash package. everything was going well until the car in front of me was on the breaks because the car in front of them was not in neutral. I reacted in the neck of time. I barely could see because they stopped the whole tunnel when i was covered in soap. so once everything got situated i decided im gonna go around again because i felt like my was was incomplete. so i went to the gate again and the hispanic kid with curly hair decided to go do something else. waited 15 minutes for someone to assist me which ended up being the same dude. i noticed when he saw me signal i want to go again he got pissed off and clearly showed it. He began giving me shit for wanting to go over again. so i wanted to back out and he said "its too late noww" with attitude. if someone pays for a wash and they feel that it was not good enough they have the right to go again. i worked in the car wash industry at the same position as this kid. seen this all the time. This is the third time in a row over the past two months that I have gone through this car wash and purchased the $18.00 was where the left side of my truck is still dirty, tires not shined, and soap all over the vehicle where I have to go back to the attendant, get out and ask them to give me a ticket to go through a second time (second time they always give me the $5.00 wash) and it still looks the same (left side still dirty-not muddy just road dirt), soap all over vehicle and tires not shined.
