Absolutely worst cleaners ever. I recently brought in a special dress for my 40th birthday to get hemmed. When I tried the dress on there was a big sticky stain on the dress. This was a brand new dress that was in perfect condition when I brought it in. I went back to the cleaners the next day and they said they had no idea how it happened and that they did not have time to fix it that day (the day of my party). They asked me to bring it back the following day to clean it for me but there was no way I would ever bring any of my belongings back here again. This was supposed to be an exciting part of my birthday that they completely ruined and took no accountability for. I would absolutely not recommend this business. read more

DONT USE THEM! Tried them for the very first time and they ruined my new dress and claim I brought it to them in that condition, which I did NOT. I brought my brand new dressdress in for cleaning, I had only worn it for 3 hours for mothers day brunch, I even hung it back up when done, as I thought maybe I'd wear it again before cleaning since I barley had it on. I didn't end up wearing it, and took it along with a few other items the next week to Sparkling Cleaners (who I have never used before). When I picked it up and got it home, I immediately removed the plastic wrap and saw my dress had 3 holes in the front of the dress. I brought the dress back to show them the holes they created and they denied, denied, denied! Told me that the dress came to them that way. I KNOW I did NOT have 3 noticeable holes in my new dress. They then stated that they noticed the holes when they got to cleaning it, but figured I wanted the dress cleaned anyway? This makes zero sense to me. I asked, if you saw holes, why wouldn't you contact me? They just continued to claim I brought it to them the that way and they took zero accountability. Just had one of the worst encounters with the owner Michelle at this dry cleaner in Alamo. I went in to pick up a coat I had them hem and a chair cushion that several years ago they had made for me, and the zipper broke, and they were to fix/replace it . As Michelle was ringing me up for $123+ I opened the plastic to inspect the cushion zipper and asked her did you have to replace the zipper? She said we didn't replace the zipper. I asked why not, did you fix it? She said no we just cleaned it. I said no that wasn't why I brought it in, that I brought it in to have the zipper repaired or replaced if necessary. That's when the whole conversation went south. Michelle went to her computer and said that that's not what the computer said and don't I trust the computer! I said no that I trust the conversation I had had with the woman who took my order the day I came in. She went back to her computer and angrily accused me of not trusting her, then the computer, and getting more and more crazy angry . I politely said that it wasn't that I didn't trust her but I know why I brought the chair cushion in and that was to get the zipper fixed, Not cleaned. When I interjected that they had made the cushion for me originally a few years back so that's why I brought it back to them for repair she start screaming that they never made the cushion for me because ..., it wasn't in her computer. After years of doing business here, the owner left a voicemail for me stating that I had forgotten to pay when I picked up an order. But I did pay and could prove it by showing the charge on my credit card. Turns out they made an error by undercharging me by about $13. It was their error. Now, I don't care about $13 one way or another. I wouldn't even care if they had overcharged me. But what's wrong with this situation was the owner's inclination to blame the customer and accuse me of forgetting to pay. That tells me that if there ever was a conflict about a damaged or lost garment she'd default to blaming the customer. As a consequence, this place lost my business forever even though I've been going there for more than 5 years. read more

Have had nothing but excellent and courteous service from Sparkelizing for many years. Both for cleaning service and for alterations. The negative review I see posted a couple of days ago is completely different from the experience we have had. May have simply been an unfortunate misunderstanding. Been going here for years. They are so helpful and reliable. I have never had a missing button or a problem with anything that they have ever worked on or cleaned. Items are always ready on time and in great shape. It is so wonderful to have a dry cleaners that doesn't break buttons or lose shirts and other items. Alterations are also great if you need that. I don't know where to begin. I left two pillows and 4 yards of fabric with what I thought were competent people - seamstresses! - to cut four squares to match the pillow inserts and sew up 3 sides on each piece. Not at all a difficult project - if I owned a sewing machine, I would have done it myself. I had company arriving and needed these pillows desperately. They told me they would be done in 1 week. I went in at the appointed time ..... and NOTHING had been done. They said they couldn't measure the fabric - even though the woman who originally took the instructions had no problem. As a businesswoman of 40+ years, I do know this is NOT how to conduct business. I will never use these people again and suggest if you have even the most simple of sewing projects, that you not go here. They said they tried to reach me by phone, but I, like many others, have a cell phone with voice message capability. Nothing was on my phone. I left livid. read more

Very clean nice establishment but the price to run the machines is a little steep. I do understand the area we are in but I feel like the washers could be lowered in price. Especially for people with small loads just visiting from out of town. All in all very clean establishment they even have couches and provided drinks for the customers very nice touch . read more

The worst place ever! They have no idea about the "Dry Cleaning" concept! They wash all the dry-cleaning items in a regular machine with a different solution! So it's not dry-cleaning! I needed to dry-clean my branded raincoat and trusted the Cleaners that they would know how to do their job. Unfortunately, two days later Jane called and said something has happened to your raincoat so come and get it! When I got there I couldn't believe my eyes as my raincoat sleeves were torn up. She told me it happened because it's a different material to compare with the main body of the raincoat which is not a good reason for me to destroy my favorite raincoat, bought at Nordstrom. She did not apologize neither took responsibility for damaging my raincoat. Instead, she was wanted me to return it to the store/Nordstrom to complain! She couldn't understand the point that "dry-cleaning" means dry-cleaning. Think twice next time if you need to dry-clean your clothes because you will never see it again!! read more

Wow, Wow, Wow!!! I'm in a jam, have company on Sunday and my doggies dirtied my velveteen sofas! I phoned our regular cleaners in Alamo and they agreed to clean and have ready on Saturday - today is Friday. Upon taking 8 covers in, owner said it would be expensive - asked - $40.00 each for seats, $60.00 each for backs - they're large sofas. $160.00 plus $240.00 . . . $400.00. No thank you. After stopping at two other cleaners that send out, I came upon Sparklizing Cleaners. The owner was most gracious, assured me that the covers would be ready by Saturday at 3:00. Guess what? $8.00 for each piece, yes, that's right - $8.00 for each piece. I also left two fur throws - I didn't even ask what our regular cleaners would charge - $11.00 for each. So - we have a new cleaners. It's Sparklizing Cleaners & Laundry from now on. If you're not bringing your cleaning here, you might want to check in. Michelle is the owner and is absolutely lovely.
