The store is a little hidden in the back of a little shopping area/offices off of First Street, but there are lots of helpful signs to guide you. There were so many flowing, beautiful dresses flapping back and forth in the wind, just calling my name and asking to be tried on. I stepped in and was excited to see the vast collections of gently used items, including sneakers and dress shoes. I started with the jean stack and was excited to see that all the jeans were $20! You can't beat that price! I had to try a few pairs to find the right ones, but I was able to find a good pair from Old Navy that was 100% cotton! The store has many drawers with a vast assortment of buttons, pins, earrings rings and other doodads that I wish I had more time to browse. Other customers were happily digging through the drawers and happy with their finds as well. The lady at the counter was very friendly, welcoming and informed me that I could try in as many things as I liked in the curtained dressing room in the back. This was the only downside. The dressing room is a small storage room with a very little turn radius. I had to ask my husband to hold the curtain closed as I dressed and undressed because it did not close fully and I felt exposed. No fault to the gals helping me but I was told discounts are not often given and when I asked about two pieces totaling roughly $50 ($28+$19) a $3 discount was given. That's less than tax. Again the gals working cannot control the dealer pricing HOWEVER competition is steep. When I can and did find similar items online and it cost less to buy and SHIP to me... perhaps the dealers should take that into account and price fairly. I recognize they are paying Walnut Creek rent for their space but folks won't continue to "shop local" if prices are obnoxiously higher than online. That being said the painted furniture prices are outstanding the work is really well done.

I went to this Goodwill today to donate some trinkets and I asked the older male attendant handling…read morethe donations if they accept certain items. I received the following smart answer: "Why don't you walk around the store to figure out what we can and cannot accept?" Caught me off guard. I came back from my car with the trinket to donate and the attendant sighed, and rudely told me to go to the other door and hand it over. They swiped it from my hand. The attendant is a tall, male, older person. This is extremely unacceptable behavior. To the person, if you are unhappy with the job, I recommend you leave. Your customer service skills are non-existent especially since you work in customer service. Goodwill needs to retrain this person on how to speak to customers.
