The representative Johnny gave me a price quote and told me to bring the vehicle in on Tuesday since they were booked for the weekend and it was Friday Brought my vehicle in on Tuesday morning i was greeted by Tiffany who was working the customer service desk. After a further discussion into what I was wanting to do, it was recommended that a technician look at transmission fluid since the vehicle had 112,000 miles on it and the fluid had never been changed. After the technician looked at the fluid, it was determined that I probably shouldn't drain it and certainly not have it flushed out as it could cause problems. Current, I have no issues with the transmission so it was not changed. I appreciated the honesty and very timely check. I also was greeted early on by another associate Madeline, who was very friendly and was going about her assigned work as well.. This shop is busy, but they took time out for each customer and my brief experience was pleasant.

AMMCO sorta diagnosis the problem was transmission cooler line came disconnected. They reattached the lines and said everything was fine with the transmission. Turns out everything was not fine. The transmission was leaking. My normal mechanic pointed out the leak a day later. I was told by AMMCO they did a thorough inspection. If the inspection took place they would have caught the leak along with several other things that needed attention. I would give 0 stars but that is not an option.

I love having transmission problems... Said no one ever…read more After 89,000 miles, the 6L80 transmission in my 2017 Suburban decided to say "Bye Felicia." Since transmission problems were unchartered territory for myself here in New Braunfels, I did not have the first clue where to take our high maintenance pavement princess. Not knowing any better, and against my better judgement, I had my Suburban towed to the local Chevrolet dealer. After receiving a quote higher than Willie Nelson, some friends of ours recommended Brinkkoeter Transmissions. With nothing to lose, other than another tow bill, I called the tow truck and had her towed to Brinkkoeter. Just after a couple days, and our wallet a little lighter, our baby was back on the road again. Backed by a guarantee better than the factory with a 3 year/100,000 warranty. Doyle also informed us that the dealer had probably neglected to tell us that our particular transmission had undergone 6 software updates that GM had failed to notify us about. This probably will be the last GM product I ever buy, but I digress.... The customer service was top notch, the communication was great, and the overall experience was great. They also saved us a lot of money compared to the dealership. While I hope I never have to use Brinkkoeter ever again, I highly recommend anyone who needs transmission work. They made my pain a little more bearable, and had me back on the road again quick. Apparently this place has been around a while and I had never heard of them until now. Enjoy!

Got it back engine making strange noises not going to drive it till a real professional takes a look at it next month in San Antonio men that live breathe and own TRI- FIVE cars. Greg's automotive is the worst shop I've ever dealt with and if you think his office is cluttered you should see the garage I should have looked at that before I let some fool work on my classic car. Christian Brothers Automotive - Professional, Honest, and Reliable…read more I recently took my 2014 Audi S4 to Christian Brothers Automotive in New Braunfels for routine maintenance, and my experience reaffirmed why they are my go-to shop. Over time, I've learned that you can tell a lot about a repair shop not just by how they perform regular service, but by how they handle unexpected issues. Services Performed: During this visit, I had the following work done: BG Brake System Service - A full brake fluid exchange using BG DOT 4 Ultra-Dry Premium Brake Fluid, following the correct OEM procedure. They also inspected my entire brake system for leaks and worn components to ensure everything was in top shape. Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil Change (0W-40)- A complete oil change using Mobil 1 full synthetic oil, along with a new OEM oil filter. They also allowed me to provide my own engine flush bottle, which I greatly appreciated, car has 213k original miles. Courtesy Inspection - A thorough multi-point check to identify any potential issues. Additional Oil (Above 5 Quarts) - Since my Audi requires more than 5 quarts, they added the correct additional amount to ensure proper lubrication. Engine Bay Cleaning & Fluids Top-Off- More on this below, but after addressing a minor issue, they went the extra mile to clean my engine bay and top off my fluids. A Minor Issue & How They Handled It: A few days after my visit, I noticed an oil leak, which turned out to be from a slightly loose oil filter housing. These things happen, but how a shop corrects a mistake says everything about their integrity and professionalism. I returned and spoke politely with the manager, explaining my concern. Without hesitation, they: - Inspected my vehicle immediately - Confirmed and fixed the issue on the spot - Cleaned my engine bay to remove any leaked oil residue - Topped off all my fluids at no charge Their commitment to making things right without excuses or delays is why I will continue to trust them with my vehicles. Why I Choose Christian Brothers Over the Dealership: I used to take my cars to the dealership, but since switching to Christian Brothers, I've realized several key advantages: Better Pricing- Every time I compare, Christian Brothers quotes me significantly less than the dealership for the same services. OEM Parts Used - They have consistently used Audi-spec OEM parts, ensuring my car is maintained to factory standards. Excellent Customer Service - The service advisors, including Brandon Ochs, are always transparent and professional. They take the time to explain recommendations without upselling unnecessary repairs. Honest & Fair Recommendations - While they pointed out additional recommended services (like valve cover gaskets, suspension components, and spark plugs), they didn't pressure me to approve them immediately. I appreciate a shop that gives honest advice while allowing me to prioritize repairs on my own terms. Proven Reliability - This isn't my first visit. I now bring both of my Audis here for all maintenance and repairs. They've earned my trust through consistent, high-quality work. Final Thoughts - A Shop That Stands Behind Its Work As a manager myself, I regularly handle complaints and concerns in my line of work. No business is perfect, but what truly matters is how they address issues when they arise. Christian Brothers handled my concern with professionalism, urgency, and accountability. That level of service is why I no longer go to the dealer and will continue to rely on them for my automotive needs. If you're looking for a trusted, honest, and skilled repair shop in New Braunfels, Christian Brothers Automotive is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

I had my brakes replaced elsewhere on 2/21/26. The mechanic showed me my old brakes and the new brakes. The old brakes looked barely worn. The brakes that I replaced measured at 15.875mm.
