The entrees are updated versions of American diner staples, very tasty, and the portions are generous. My Baxter Burger had BBQ sauce, bacon, and cheese - on a huge beef patty. I loved it! We have currently been sitting here for almost an hour and a half and haven't been served any food what so ever. Our waiter seemingly didn't even know our table was his and never took our order. We had to track down a separate waitress to order all our food. There are almost 20 people in the lobby waiting while every table around us is empty. The service is completely unacceptable. I stopped in to Sparky's to meet some clients. The chips and queso was delicious! The chips were perfect! Not too thick but not too thin. I ordered the Diablo burger. It was deliciously topped with Sparky's spicy salsa, grilled onions and Monterrey Jack cheese. It comes with a generous portion of French fries, or you may sub a salad if you like. Our server was attentive and always refilling our glasses and refreshing our chips. Sparky's has indoor seating as well as an enclosed patio area. I only had the cheese fries and margarita but 100/10! The food was amazing. My mango margarita was delicious and my husbands effen raspberry lemonade drink was phenomenal!! 2.5 out of 5.. really disappointed this establishment had gone way down hill since we were last here. We had cheese fries and an appetizer and they were so soggy, mediocre at best. My husband had the chicken strips which were ok but he said the ones at the Eureka Grill downtown were way better. I had the sparkys burger and it was cooked to the right temperature.. that's all. No flavor at all. I upgraded to have onion rings as a side for 3.50 and got like 6. The soda was also way too surupy. The service was ok he didn't really pay attention to us on a basically empty patio. The hostess however was amazing we were on the patio which was a good temp for late April. My best friend and I stopped at Sparky's on our way out of Eureka Springs. It was a delicious pit stop and I will definitely come back here next time I'm in town. Prices are about average of what you would expect at a place like this, but the serving size way bigger than I expected, so I feel like there is a good value for what you order. I ordered a small cheese fry plate, and I still ended up taking a to go box. And let me tell you, I don't have small appetite so that's saying something. We were able to be seated right away, and our waitress was very friendly. I loved the aesthetic of the place, and it went with the spunky vibe that Eureka Springs has. My soda was cold and fizzy, and our waitress kept it filled up. The cafe had a very comfortable atmosphere, and my friend and I had a good time talking about our day as we dined on our food. Great food and big portions! Recently I have been to several restaurants that had the same prices as sparky's. But at these other places the food was crap, the menu was small and the portions were smaller than a fairy's meal. However HERE the prices were still more than I would normal spend but my whole family could've shared my one meal. I wish I had a cooler in my car so I could take my leftovers. Ok... photo fail but it's been 10 years since I have been here last and it hasn't change that much... like in a good way. Servers were great, beer and booze selection is great! Food... oh my first of you have to try their bbq sauce. On anything... got the bbq bacon burger and it was great! A friend nabbed the nachos and it could have fed an army. I think our friend who got the fish tacos was licking the plate. Either way worth a stop by and I do say save space for desert... or just take it to go. I had their cheeseburger with pepper jack cheese and it was so flavorful (the bun wasn't great but the burger was so good I didn't care). Subbed my fries for the onion rings and I'm SO glad I did. Flavorful, crispy perfection! Also had an order of the garlic cheese fries but those were just ok. Take my word for it - get the burger that sounds good to you and some onion rings. We took a party of 6 to Sparky's last night. The service was excellent, BUT the food was just okay at best. My "HOT " ham and cheese sandwich was cold, and none of the rest of the party was raving about their meal. We have been going to Sparky's almost since it opened. In addition we have sent hundreds of people there when we had our Bed & Breakfast. But the meals last night were just too much. For a bill and tip of nearly $190 I expect better to come read more

Just a terrific eclectic joint with great food. Started with cheese fries...they're not double fried to promote crispiness, but that really doesn't help when cheese is melted on top anyway. I had the hot turkey and swiss, subbing out a bun for rye bread. Hubs had the Wally burger. Both of these come with fries or a dinner salad; we both got salad since we had the cheese fries for an app. Salad was perfect side salad size. Wally burger on ciabatta bread as huge! The food is nothing special and service is even worse. We've started going down the list of all the restaurants in the Eureka Springs area to find the best of the best. This place has made it to the "do not return to" list easily. For starters: The parking lot sucks. Being seated and greeted was a turn off. The waiter took an extended amount of time to come to the table.....and finally returned with a "room temp" draft beer... The food is overpriced for what you get.......oh, and be starving when you go there......bring snacks if so.....because the wait could leave you wondering if you should venture to another establishment down the street. After the extended stay at the table with the warm beer.....the food finally arrived....and what a disappointment. Sparky's has a little bit of everything on their menu. I really appreciate that they will substitute a veggie burger for any of their gourmet and specialty burgers. I have no clue what happened here, but the food needs to be fixed now!!!! The last time I ate here was 10 years ago, and I had a burger which I thought was great. This time I went in and ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, and fries; it was literally the worst meal I've ever had!!! Our server was great and that's the only reason for a star. The grilled chicken was dry, firm, and rubbery! The fries were bland, soggy, and greasy! The waitress too my meal off the ticket, and apologized saying they had hired young inexperienced cooks. I told them their best bet is to pay their cooks more, and get people in who know what their doing; especially when charging premium tourist prices. read more

Visited Sparky's for the first time tonight for dinner based on Yelp reviews. Looks like a small dinner from the outside, but wow they have a lot of space once you're inside! We had the option to choose indoor seating or heated patio and we decided to go with the heated patio. It was 48 degrees outside, and the patio was comfortably heated! Also, decor at Sparky's is fun and we enjoyed the atmosphere while dining. When we arrived, we were seated right away and were greeted by our waitress quickly as well. Service was great during our entire meal. I wish I remembered our waitress' name so I could give her a shout out! She was great! We started with queso and chips- queso was SO good! This was a large serving (3 of us shared and we had queso left over to dip our fries in). Daughter had a bacon cheeseburger and fries, which she enjoyed! Husband had a salad & Rueben sandwich, which he really enjoyed. I had the chicken enchiladas, which is always a gamble when I'm not eating at an authentic Mexican restaurant, but they were tasty as well! I loved the fun atmosphere of the outside covered patio for dining. I came in August and it was cool enough to eat outside with their fans going. Service was wonderful. Each staff member seemed to want to be there and that was really refreshing! Now, the food. I had the guacamole burger and garlic cheese fries. It was amazing. The guac is made on site and definitely tasted fresh. The fries were the best I've ever had. I also tried onion rings from someone's plate and they were so thick and crunchy with a nice plump onion in the middle. The key lime pie was the highlight of my visit. Apparently it's made by one of the waitresses there. It looked home made for sure. But the taste was out of this world. Perfect amount of sweet and Tarte with super thick gram cracker crust. Worth $7.95 a slice! I split it with someone else and it was enough for 2. I definitely recommend this place. Especially for picky eaters and vegetarians because they have a HUGE menu to choose from. read more

This place is so flipping cool. I absolutely love diners and this is one on the best. It's kinda divey but hip with its retro bowling alley theme and oil cloth tablecloths and a bicycle mounted on its restaurant sign outside. They have counter service along with indoor and outdoor seating and we only had a ten minute wait at lunchtime but they will call you when your table is ready if you don't want to wait, but if you do, you can drool over their dessert display. Once we were seated, service was was quick and friendly. You can grease out here if you want, but they have some healthier options along with vegetarian dishes. I got my go to when I eat at diners, the Turkey Reuben and this was huge and very tasty and fresh. The coleslaw I ordered was good though I picked out the raisins which I'm not a fan of. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich and enjoyed his too and we both enjoyed never ending fountain drinks. Their carbonation is the best which seems harder to find these days by the number of places I've been that have flat coke and don't maintain their machines. I was seriously full so I didn't have dessert And I regret it now. Don't make my mistake. They have their own parking lot though it gets full quickly. It's outside of the main downtown area so it's easier to get in and out of. I'd definitely say is a "must visit" and place when you're in the area! read more
