Service was warm and welcoming from both the host and our server. Everything was cooked fresh to order, so there was a bit of a wait. I had the Early Riser. The scrambled eggs were light and not overloaded with butter. The biscuit and gravy arrived lukewarm and could've used more gravy, while the breakfast potatoes were my least favorite--mostly burnt without being crispy. Wife and I stopped in for a late breakfast. We were greeted and sat right away. Our server did a great job from all aspects. He was polite, friendly and checked in regularly to make sure we didn't need anything. Both of us had the Ozark Benny. It was a good size portion for the money. The eggs ware cooked perfectly, the biscuit was really good. The sausage patties were tasty and well cooked. I do have to say the hash browns were a little over cooked and very crispy, but it was getting close to closing time so I think they had sat on the grill a little bit longer than they should. As for ambiance, they have some music playing and the overall theme is cars and old time garage. The place was clean, all the servers seemed to be on their game, keeping up with their customers and turning tables quickly. I would certainly eat here again if back in the area. read more

We pulled up to The Filling Station this morning and my husband said, "Now this is what I'm talking about." We love little local joints to eat at and this did not disappoint. It had a car theme going on in the decor, which was cute and fun. The eggs Benedict with prime rib was the special today, so that's what I got! The lady who served it to me accidentally flipped one of the eggs over, so it's not picture perfect, however it was delicious! I got it with the ham and it was very filling. My husband and I were in town for a weekend for a wedding so time in eureka springs was limited. We had a 'food plan' based off of some online posting boards, we wanted to try the Filling Station. When we got there for breakfast, we could not find a parking spot so had to park at the lot next door (we did shop at a few of the shops so we did not illegally park). We walked over and in to the restaurant. The restaurant was full and they asked us if we would mind sitting outside (the hostess assured us there was shade and fans, as it was about 90-95°F outside). We decided sure we would sit out there, she didn't offer a wait time for a table inside or anything. We get outside and there are 2 ceiling fans not really putting any air out. So sitting out there sweating for a long time before our drink order was taken, we had the pleasure of watching a 4 top get upset about the wait on their food and talking loudly about it. That mixed with the Rastafarian music just made the ambiance perfection. We finally got our drinks (my husband got a soda, I had gotten water). Being extremely hot with minimal airflow, we guzzled our drinks quickly. The waitress had probably forgotten about us and then finally remembered. Getting refills was a joke and like pulling teeth. The food was slow to come out. I got French toast with strawberries (2 strawberries sliced in half for like $2) and burnt French toast that wasn't even done in the middle. My husband got a cinnamon roll and scrambled eggs. He said his eggs had no flavor, his cinnamon roll was swimming in so much icing it was pretty much icing with a side of cinnamon roll. We didn't get to check the place out or enjoy the decor or atmosphere, which probably would've made up for the wait time and mediocre, overpriced food. Will definitely not recommend. Such a shame because it seems like this place would have good potential. read more

This place was packed! But we had a wonderful waiter that was very nice and helpful. The ribeye was amazing and cooked perfectly. The omelet lacked cheese but it was all fresh veggies and the meat was cooked to perfection. Pancake was absolutely delish too! We were pleased to see bloody Mary's and mimosas on the menu!! My wife and I went to the filling station this morning for breakfast upon sitting down at exactly 8 o'clock in the morning when they woke up finally woke up. We were reading with a menu with prices that were so ridiculously high. We actually stood up and walked out of the restaurant. One pancake was $12 French toast 13 two eggs 16+ dollars insane we walked out we never go back we've been there many times somethings changed. I don't know if they've changed ownership or what but it certainly not worth paying that kind of money for breakfast a complete rip off read more

This is the BEST place for breakfast I've ever been to. I haven't been for lunch, so I can't rate that. The over-easy eggs were perfect. The hashbrowns were crisp and yummy. The gigantic pancake was out of this world delicious! The second breakfast I had there was the ham & cheese omelet. It was extra scrumptious tasty. Loaded with ham and perfectly cooked. I had a biscuit on the side. It was light and flaky and right out of the oven. The server was polite, friendly and fast. The place started filling up when we arrived at opening and there were people waiting in line when we left. The service was still quick and excellent. First time here even though we have been coming to Eureka for 20 years. Got into town on Monday so some places not open. This had good reviews on Yelp for breakfast. Guessing it's what they serve most due to closing at 2. We ordered at 1 so decided on hamburgers. You choose what you want added. We had bacon and grilled onions and well done . Patty was real thick , frozen I'm sure. Bacon was not cooked enough and onion was big rings, steamed not really grilled. Tasted ok but definitely not my idea I had when we walked into this small little place. I was thinking more of an old fashion greasy hamburger. Place is decorated cute. So I would only suggest breakfast. We stay at a B&B that serves breakfast so will not be adding to our list. On to the next new eats! read more

In there for over an hour waiting for our food. I personally got the chicken and waffles and the chicken was completely overcooked. Honesty just not good. As we are waiting for our food there were at least 4 tables cleared ready for the next person, however with over 20 people standing outside they were encouraging staff to go slower. Went to the filling station on a Sunday. I have posted on Eureka group where to go for breakfast. and everyone kept recommending it. When I pulled up, I saw that the owners of a motel were leaving so I thought it must be good. If locals are going . The decor was charming, but the food was just OK and the mimosas in my opinion were kinda high but the best thing I had. The service was very slow. To be honest, I probably won't return. My pancakes were doughy and not cooked enough. I ordered the egg over easy, but got sunny side up. But the hamburger was definitely the star on the table. Omg! Everything about it was good and I could go on for days how good it is. I would never go there for breakfast, but I will recommend for hamburgers. The outside seating is a big plus if you have a dog.
