Waited almost two weeks for Hilton's to look at my mower for service. Each time I called to check on it their representative seemed rushed, bothered, and uninformed. I finally got my mower back and the control arm literally fell of in my hand while in use. Lets hope its not another two weeks before they fix my mower because right now it is immobilized in the middle of my yard. read more

Usually my go to place for parts but today I called to check on a part I ordered and the lady was very rude.

I bought a new Husqvarna 562XP and put a little over 3 hours and the saw would no longer run despite using only the Husqvarna 50 fuel so I took it to where I bought it at Hiltons for them to take a look at the saw. The counter clerk said it will be at the end of the week for an answer. Two weeks go by and not one phone call made to me for my saw update. So I called and got a very rude female answer the phone and could not help me and said someone would have to call me back. A day later a gentleman called and said they are trying to get Husqvarna to honor the warranty. I said ok and asked for them to call me once they heard Husqvarna response. Three to four weeks go by with no phone call. I went to the store and was told that HUsqvarna would not honor the warranty because they claim I didn't use their fuel. How crazy is that since the only fuel I used was the Husqvarna premixed fuel!! So while I was hearing this at the store, the gentleman said I was taking it out on him when Husqvarna wouldn't honor the warranty, I said, no, the bigger problem is Hilton left me hanging by not communicating to me about my saw status and possible solution. Very very poor customer service or communication and does not seem to care about their customer. I asked what solution is there since my broken saw is just sitting in the back of their store and lo and behold the gentleman jumped right back to his office to be excited to tell me it will cost this much to fix the saw. Yep, he only cared about making a buck and who really knows if he truly contacted husqvarna for he never showed any proof or documentation of them contacting and discussing with Husqvarna. I do not recommend anyone to do business with this place, very poor customer service and attitude and you will get ripped off! read more

This is one disappointing business. I am local Columbia. I went to two businesses to get warranty repair to a new Husqvarna saw I bought on Amazon. This business, Hilton, refused the repair because I bought on Amazon, and wrongly blamed Husqvarna, saying Husqvarna did not authorize warranty repairs for Amazon purchases. I called Husqvarna who told me that was absolutely false. Hilton's just resents Amazon purchasers. Husqvarna the sent me to Monroe's Power Equipment on Ft Jackson Blvd. The place was neat and clean. The people were friendly and professional. And even though there is a long line of repairs ahead, they knew what to do on the spot, fixed it in minutes, and charged NOTHING - not even to Husqvarna ! Monroes has earned my trust and respect and will get all of my business and all of my referrals. Hilton will get the opposite. read more

No service behind the sale. Purchased a Stihl MS 211C chainsaw to clear small debris post storms in OCT 15 from Hilton's. 13 months later after being properly stored IAW owners manual saw would not start. Returned to Hilton's and repaired 1 month out of warranty for starter solenoid NOV 16. Cut some small debris post Hurricane Matthew and stored saw again. NOV 2017 cut three small Gum Trees for maintenance on property and chain began to free spin and coast down after engaged. Contacted Stihl and told to return to Hilton's for evaluation. Owner claims bad gas and will not start after evaluation. Very poor communications skills, apathetic to customer service and insistent that the issue us bad fuel and not a mechanical issue. Provided repair at $145 dollars or pick up saw. Sale price ~$300 repair costs ~$235. Average cost per cut $30! Picked up saw and will never deal with this business again. read more
