All bays are fully covered with bird cage mesh wire for the safety of people. They sprayed some liquid on wood before we start, i believe to make wood moist and soft. But that smell instantaneously gave me headache. Good activity got 90 min to long of time for two people. Group of three or more would more fun May they should have an options for short duration. Noise level- loud. But that's because of all the excitement and cheering. This gave a very positive vibe there. I don't know if they were throwing axes at the Battle of Thermopylae, but if you find yourself in the mood to let it fly (it being a weapon of some sort, or possibly your frustrations with the modern world), then this little spot will sate your wrathful desires. The best bang for your buck is going with the two hours, and you'll enjoy yourself the most with 3-5 friends giving your arm a break. You may play games per the provided rules, but more likely you'll invent your own rules - you and your friends are smart and fun like that. Calling in and reserving a time and lanes was brief and painless, as was filling out the waiver online and watching the short video on arrival. The only nit I can pick was that one lane's target was a bit more chewed up than the other. Granted, I don't know the frequency with which they swap out boards, how often or how much the boards are wetted, or even if it really makes a difference in how an axe will stick. If that's a concern, I guess just do what we did, and switch back and forth between two lanes. Assuming all your cool, smart friends are joining you. read more

We help a company event at Spartan Axe Throwing and had an awesome time. We had about 40 people attend and everyone really enjoyed the time. We held our private event on a weekday around 6pm and the spartan team was so great to work with. They were very friendly and spent time with everyone on how to throw axes, play some games. and just really good people who made sure everything was tended to. For food we brought in Lou Malnatis pizzas and a few other things. The way the room is set up was perfect to hang out and watch everyone throw, enjoy some networking time and eat some food. The owner was awesome explaining how to be safe and can appreciate the cages they have unlike other facilities which can be very unsafe. Safety was key ... and they make sure everyone has a good safe time. AFTER-ALL your throwing sharp axes!!!! :) I would highly recommend visiting spartan Axe Throwing. It was something different to do and our entire group of adults really enjoyed the time together here! read more

Excellent place with good vibes. The staff was really friendly. It was my first time axe throwing and I couldn't even get it to stick to the wooden board after multiple attempts. The staff was kind and gave me some good pointers on techniques. Within just 5-10 minutes, I was constantly getting the axe to stick and even hitting multiple bullseyes. So. Much. Fun! This was our first time throwing axes, so we didn't know what to expect. The check-in (both online and in-peson) was easy, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the cages were well-spaced, and the overall space incredibly clean. There were only two other parties when we went, so we had lots of room to move as we changed out people in the cage. We had 1.5 hours for our party of four, giving us all ample opportunity to experiment with different throwing techniques and, even when we were waaay off in our throws, it was such an enjoyable time whether we were throwing or watching.
