Visited today with hubby and this was a good time. When you arrive you are greeted and then you sign a waiver. Once done you are led to a axe throwing station, the associate then gives you instructions on how to throw the axe, brings you a bluetooth speaker for your music, shows you a card with games and goes over the beverage menu and tells you about upgrades including a machete and larger axe,after that its time to play! Let me tell you this is a workout, a fun workout. It takes a little while to get the hang of throwing the axe but after a few tries you will get it. We opted for 1 hour which was plenty of time to throw, laugh and hang out. Once done we checked out (price wasn't bad at all) and you are good to go. Really fun, but could be so much more. Wish there were cocktails available, but I understand why they don't have them. I've been several times and it's always really warm in there. They need to figure that out because throwing axes is a lot more work than you think. I feel like they need to make it more exciting, maybe loud fun music and more of a party atmosphere. So much potential. They have several weapons to choose from which is nice. If you want to go JUST to throw axes and don't really care about anything else, this place is for you. Came here to celebrate my brother's birthday with the fam. We had such a fun time trying something new. Everyone in my family got into it, even my 71 yr old Mama! (Shhh don't tell her I mentioned her age) Our friendly competition turned fierce with everyone improving as each round went by, but at the end obviously the team I was on was named champion. ;P Our group of 6 was split into two lanes with a sectioned lounge area for just our group. They have three options a 60 minute, 90 minute and 2 hour limit. We chose to do 90 minutes which was a good amount of time for all of us to learn and play a couple rounds of games. They have a menu of unique non-alcoholic bottled drinks for purchase there and if you're hungry they have menus from a couple of the nearby restaurants so that you can call and have food delivered or they also mentioned that we could have brought our own food in as well. Staff here was excellent! From instructing us on how to successfully throw the axe and teaching us some games; to helping us out when we were having trouble with our food delivery from one of the nearby restaurants... everyone working was super helpful and friendly. I've been Axe throwing before. My experiences at other locations were way better. This location was understaffed - poor guy working the entire floor by himself. Almost nothing to drink, NO ALCOHOL, and they were out of most of the non-alcoholic beverages. Vibe was boring and dull. They need something's to spice this place up like music or TVs. The axes and wood panels were super beat - I feel at other locations it was a lot easier to throw and stick the axes. read more

The service was good, but the experience for the price is what rates this low. We threw the axes for an hour and not a big fan of that as most of the axes would not stick to the wall and mostly because of the form we used when throwing them. For four people, the price was over $130 for the hour and that is no way near the value of entertainment. Talk about sticker shock. No alcoholic drinks sold in the place (understandable given axes), but the drinks advertised is not what they had. But, the rating is low because of the very high prices. South Barrington location closed. Did not show closed on maps. Bummer because we drove there bc said take walk ins.

I had reservations for 7 people. Received an email the night before confirming my reservations for the next day. We arrived at the Barrington location about 15 minutes before our reservation to find out that the location was closed. No sign on the door, nothing! I did get an email that evening stating my reservation had been cancelled. There were others that had arrived for their reservation only to find it closed as well. From speaking to a neighboring business, they had been closed for a while. Why send me an email the evening before confirming????? Tried calling the phone number and no response. Terrible, terrible customer service. read more

I was super excited for my first experience axe throwing until I arrived to my reservation and they told me they didn't know I had a reservation until a couple minutes before and gave away our spot to a walk-in. Super disappointing as why even do reservations if they won't be honored? The employee said that because I had cancelled a reservation prior to making a new one for the same time, and same night less than 5 minutes after cancelling the first one I made, they did not realize. Frustrating and a not pleasing first encounter! Will find a better axe throwing place that respects reservations. Thumbs down from me Bulls Eye Axe Throwing! read more

Went here with a group of 6 although they can accommodate smaller or larger groups. Had a blast!! We did the hour time slot but wanted to stay longer. It was a sat night so they were booked up after us. I recommend the 90 min because it is so much fun. Will be back. read more

Staff made the experience fantastic. They did a great job with the presentation about ax throwing and keeping it brief. They showed us some really fun games that made the experience much better. I would definitely take this over bowling or some other entertainment form. I will be coming back here with more friends and family. read more
