I have been to Spavia in Sandy for massages and for a facial. All experiences have been luxurious and the staff members providing services have been amazing- they totally go above and beyond! I love the room where you can have a cup of tea, relax and meditate before and after your service. The changing rooms are so clean and nice and have private lockers. I went here on vacation. Payton was awesome. I've had a lot of massages and I can tell when someone knows what they're doing. Payton was very professional and I liked that this spa checked on everything- they specifically asked what music I like, what kind of lotion I wanted, etc. He helped me work out a long day of skiing and if I lived closer, I would definitely go back. read more

Customer service is a problem here. The location is a franchise so it's not a total dump, hence the second star in my rating. Decent array of services and reasonable hours, but management will ruin this for you. How would you treat a customer who comes into your spa regularly? Not that difficult to figure out. It is difficult for the manager of this spa, Dawn. This woman called me more than once, agitated, telling me my appointments were interfering with their scheduling. ... Huh? Ridiculous. I have a job and I'm coming to your spa to relax, why are you behaving like you're my [rude] customer? As far as the services, hit or miss. One of their estheticians spent an entire facial trying to sell me products, after I had said two minutes into her pitch that I wasn't interested. I had multiple underwhelming massages, staff seemed inexperienced. Some of the staff seemed reasonable enough, but they also have high turnover so you won't be able to keep a "favorite" masseur/esthetician. Most of the massages are either too light to the touch or really don't understand technique. The facials are so-so, pretty inconsistent - I went every weekend for awhile and noticed sometimes steps would get skipped, or just general lack in quality (application, etc.). Lastly, they overcharged me on more than one occasion (if I'm telling you to tip 18%, why are you charging me for 22%?). Recommend skipping this place altogether or go once if you're stuck but don't become a regular or you'll notice the lack of consistency and they'll treat you like garbage. read more

This is kind of a pre review but holy cow my booking experience was AWESOME! The lady on the phone was so nice ( Dawn, the owner) and super accommodating to my many needs because I'm pregnant haha. SUCH a breath of fresh air. I am so excited for my 3rd anniversary with my husband when we will have our Spavia couples massage!! ***UPDATE*** awesome experience when we went!!! Super relaxing environment , nice dressing room, water/ tea in the quiet sitting area and also hot lavender neck wraps (My favorite part) ! My daughter and I went in for deep tissue massages and we both thought it was one of the most disappointing massages we've ever had. My masseuse used different pressures on each side of my body, one side was very light, hardly any pressure at all and the other side was a little better but I still wouldn't consider it deep tissue. She also completely skipped my feet and my scalp which are 2 of my favorite parts of a massage. And my daughter said her masseuse used hardly any pressure at all. She said it felt like she was just rubbing lotion on her. Paying over $200 ($100 each plus $10 each for tip) for two 60 minute, mediocre massages, felt like robbery. for Spavia read more

My husband and I went yesterday for the 80 minute couples massage and lets just say it was AMAZING!!! The place is SUPER nice as well and the scents you get to pick smell sooooooo good. My husband and I went to Spavia the day after we got married and did an 80-minute couples massage. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted into a warm, relaxing environment by a girl with a really soothing voice. She gave us our paperwork, led us to the locker rooms, explained everything, and answered all our questions. Since we were the last appointment of the day, she told us we could sit in a relaxation room together rather than separating into the men's and women's. It was a nice unexpected touch to kind of feel like the spa was all ours for a short while. Rachel did my massage, and Spencer did his massage. Both of them were amazing! The 80 minutes flew by and I felt totally relaxed after a hectic and stressful wedding weekend. I will say, Spavia isn't the fanciest most high-end spa you'll go to, but everything is clean and the experience is so relaxing, without the frills (or the price tag) of some high end spas. Don't bother. The massages are as good (I went another time) as any other spa but the customer service is horrible. If there are any issues with your appointment, they will not actually try to contact you beforehand. So you waste your time and money driving there just to be turned away. read more

I may not get my money back, but I hope I can prevent even one person from wasting their time and money in this spa. I called prior to purchasing a Groupon and asked which option I should choose for a full, dramatic look. I based my purchase off the direction I was given over the phone. I left Spavia Sandy location in tears on Saturday. My lashes were terrible, painful, and not at all what I paid for. My complaints were blown off and met with attempts to sell me monthly memberships to visit again. When the tech told me that my Groupon came with a fill I asked instead to just fill in what she had missed, and I was told no. I told the three women at the front desk, one of which I have learned is the owner, that I would be going straight to another artist to have my lashes repaired that same day. The manager responded with, "Okay, just so you know if you go past 4 weeks it's no longer considered a fill so you would have to start fresh." I expressed that was fine and I wouldn't be back. I contacted the spa again after spending 3 hours having my extensions removed, repaired, and replaced. The owner first told me that she reviewed photos of my lashes and they looked fine, but I hadn't provided photos and I have yet to see the pictures she talks about. The owner, Dawn, accused me of adding Mascara and false eyelashes to their work when I sent her a photo of my repaired extensions. Up to this point they have refused to refund my money. I am completely appalled at the experience I have had with this business. This location opened its doors the same day I had my lash appointment, but they won't be long if they don't fix the problems within their management. read more

The massage therapist were great. However the owner is terrible. My Groupon expired so they said we needed to pay the difference even though Groupon said it was ok and when I called the spa 2 days prior they said they would honor it. Well when we got there for our couples massage they told me I'd have to pay the 50.00 difference. I finally said ok after the employee had checked out the groupon. Well woukdnt you know it. when we got out of the massage the owner was there and said oh it's actually 70.00. We didn't know you didn't have the current Groupon. She wouldn't even honor the 50.00 we had been told. I'll never come back even though the massage itself was good. It ruined the experience and feels like fraud. read more
