They weren't good to start with a year ago but I gave them a chance. Today some new girl cut me off when I tried to speak then gave me attitude when I questioned the higher price. The guy who charged me last time was sitting right there and looked me in the eye and lied saying he didn't hear anything. The girl went to the back saying she wasn't going to deal with me because I was rude but apparently it's OK for her to be rude. I was so worried about my cats. I told them they better not hurt them or I would sue them. Facts! A promise threat whatever. These people have zero care for other's fur babies. They gave me cash back refund and brought my cats out. Their rude employee had such a head trip and now my cats have to suffer. Nobody should take their pets here. I cannot believe the owner allows this. It started with the employee cutting me off, then being told the 2nd distemper would have a cost (but my other cats weren't charged for it), then continued attitude from the employee. Wish I could give this joke of a place a 0 star. We have been trying to get my male cat fixed for 3 months. The first time, I got an email at noon the day prior that clinic was canceled for the following day due to construction on the mobile. Totally understandable. However, I had to schedule for a month after. If you have male cats that aren't fixed, you know the smell is bad. Anyway, I emailed a couple days prior to clinic to confirm. They confirmed, even sent a confirmation text the night before and a phone call to confirm. I am ON MY WAY from over an hour away to drop my fasting cat off and having a day off of work is hard to get...well 3 robo calls and 3 texts later, they cancel last minute. I will not waste any further time of mine for them. Thankfully I have the Humane Society in Kalamazoo, which is cheaper, that I've scheduled for. It just sucks that it won't be until the end of January that he gets fixed, but at least they won't robo call cancel 20 minutes before drop off time. And might I add, the text said "Clinic for Friday Dec 20, 2019 has been moved to Thursday Dec 19, 2019." So many mixed feelings on this review. I'll start with the positive, and you can skip the sad part at the end. The prices are very reasonable, you can schedule an appointment online, and there are a lot of different locations to meet. I called the day before to confirm my appointment, and they gave me instructions to bring my cat, Joseph. When we arrived, we had no idea where to go. No signs, nothing. There was a bus out by the mall, so we waited there while I called someone. Finally we found out they were inside the mall, tucked way back. When we went in, it was a bit chaotic. There were dogs everywhere, since check-in is done all at once. We filled out the paperwork and I handed the carrier over to the tech. She was very friendly, and spoke softly to Joseph to calm him down. A few hours later, I got a call that Joseph had died during the surgery. I started crying, and gave the phone to my friend who was driving me. She asked if we could come get him, and we were told to come pick him up at the normal time. Once we arrived, everyone was standing around waiting to be let back into the area. The vet finally came out and opened the doors, and once he saw me crying he took me aside and brought me to the bus where Joseph was in his carrier. He said he had no idea how it happened, and he was sorry, and he left. One of the techs gave me his collar, a refund, and asked if she could call me in a few days. She ended up giving me one of her rescued cats, who has now been with me for a year. I adore him, but I still miss Joseph greatly. Overall, I think there are better places to take your pet than something with the word "Express" in the title. I knocked off a star because of the way Dr. Langlois treated me, I was just another number to get through. I would rather pay a little more and have someone pretend to care that my pet just died. read more

I had male 4 cats fixed there yesterday. The price made it affordable. When I picked up my cats I was told that they were justt waking up and told I had to wait longer. They said it sometimes takes longer with the big boys. I was eventually allowed to take them, but they were still asleep.. I kept them in the cages till 8 pm and they were sstill wobbly then. I think they must way over do the anesthesia. read more

I love the ease of dropping off/picking up and also the fact that they do not try to sell you products/services you don't need. This mobile clinic was a great thing for our area that has not got low cost clinic's. The Staff was the greatest and I found them very compassionate and did a great job. Also very friendly and great with every dog and cat that came through. I love them for all the people that received the help to get their pets vaccine and spay or neutered at a great price and with the care that left them thinking there are still great people in the world. I am an old lady on a fixed income. If it wasn't for spade and neuter express I would of had to call animal control to have my barn cats euthanize. I have had 4 cats done and have two more to do in the spring. They have made it affordable and I thank them. The cat I have in my house cost me around $400 to get spade from a country vet. I rescued her from a terrible winter and I love her. And she loves my dog, he tolerates her. Spade neuter express does a wonderful service. read more

Dr. Langlois neutered all three of my male beagles. I think the FOIA has actually little to do with his actual veterinary care. Having also working with a rescue that Dr. Langlois and SpayNeuterExpress does all the pets spays/neuters I would say incidence or issues are pretty low. When you're doing 100's or 1000's of the same procedure a year (I'd be astounded if other professionals disagreed) there are probably going to be a some unexpected outcomes snd the occasional reaction. Rescue pets are not necessarily given POST surgical pain med pills (but certainly you can get them if you want). Of course they ARE given medication for during surgery. I believe we opted to get 1 day of pain meds from SNX for our boys and they were fine. They were lethargic as expected after surgery and sore the next day (they ate, drank and we potty as normal as possible given the surgery). I have found Dr. Langlois to be extremely caring of the pets he handles, he goes out of his way to assist rescues and shelters. read more

We decided to have our puppy neutered when he turn 6 months old. After calling my vet to get prices, I was floored ($350). I search around for something more reasonable, and came across Spay and Neuter express. I liked that I could make an appointment online, and they followed up with an email reminder and phone call. I also liked that the clinic was mobile, so I could choose which location I wanted to go to. Price wise, they are the best in town (I also had him microchipped, again, way cheaper than the vet as it was only $20). The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 was because checking in seemed a little disorganized. Check out was even more disorganized. They give everyone the same time to show up, so you have people waiting in line (I waited an hour to pick up my pet). My only suggestion would be to stagger times (7:00, 7:15, etc...). Other than that, the whole experience was great. My dog was fine when he came out and hasn't had any complications (they are very clear afterwards on what to look for and if you have any problems how to contact them). read more

However, the media about Dr losing his license and all the horror stories about problems with animals and him being guilty of CSC....Umm, I have no clue why I even got the invite to do a review. I have rescued many cats in the past couple of years, some feral TNR and some pets for rehoming. Spay Neuter express has helped me and the kitties so much with their affordable spay/neuter. I paid extra for the pain meds, but with the 3+ free deal I was able to get rescued kittens and their mothers fixed for free! They all came out great and fine after the procedure. Just a 2 day recovery time. In reply to the other review, yes they are often looking for other locations, but only to broaden the amount of people they can serve. This service is geared towards saving people money, so they want to come to the people to save travel expenses for everyone. There are MANY cats and humans who have benefit from the services. Each time I go there are a couple dozen pets being operated on, so far I haven't seen many bad reviews other than because of the owners not following post op instructions and I know with the 25 or so cats I brought to them so far NONE have had issues. If you really think about it I am sure they operate on thousands a year without many issues. The most I had issues with was just pain for a couple of days in my girl cats, but that is to be expected! I am personally not offended by the Vet's past. He's doing a service to the community with the spay/neuter express and I haven't ever seen him present around kids, in fact I haven't SEEN him at all. I give them a good review. Not a problem yet and they helped keep the cat population down SO much! I had some feral cats who were nothing but afraid of people, they got fixed and with love and those nasty hormones being gone they became lap cats! Help your community kitties or yourself and bring them to spay neuter express. Pay the extra $10 for pain meds! read more
