    Chicken Philly at SPC
    James S.

Locally owned and operated, this was an interesting place to stop. We shared the chicken bacon ranch hoagie. It was pretty good. They do not skimp on the chicken like a lot of places we have had chicken phillies. The veggie to chicken to bread ratio waa perfect. The only problem we had was the ranch was not evenly distributed across the sandwich. Our server, Katie, was absolutely great! She didn't hover over us, but she ensured we didn't have to find her to receive any service. As you Yelpers know about me, I always make a comment about the bathrooms. And here, they were clean and well maintained. We enjoyed this pizza spot. This will be a location that we visit whenever we are in Georgetown, SC.

    Chicken bacon hand tossed pizza

Found this gem otw home from a work event. So glad we stopped. It was literally the best pizza we've had in a long, long long time. Hand tossed and cooked crust to perfection. I was so full after a slice and a half that now I will enjoy the rest tomorrow (and you know what they say - pizza is always better the next day... so not sure how it will top fresh from the oven but we'll see). The staff and service was fast and friendly. The restaurant was clean. And they even had table games for us while we waited. Great pizza , great people , great vibe. Can't wait to come back to try other items from the menu.

This is their EBA 10 inch pizza.

Friendly service, and clean restaurant. Food delicious. Would recommend you to stop by and give it a try.

Great place to grab a pizza in Georgetown. We usually get the EBC (Combo) and cheese bread. This time we had takeout and added some buffalo wings. The wings are great perfectly cooked and great tasting sauce. The EBC is you standard combo, we choose to get it without banana peppers and in my opinion made it better. They have 3 choices of crust. Hand tossed, NY thin and thin and crispy. I really like their hand tossed, the crust is fluffy and delicious. They also have a bar, and tvs throughout, so it's a great place to catch a game

Lots of really fresh toppings, and the dough was a good texture, although I like bit more salt. Nice hometown bar atmosphere as well.

Acknowledging that every table/booth in every restaurant is $money$, this table for 4 we were escorted to should either not exist or would do far better being creatively encased with an added structure to camouflage both these spaces and dampen the associated noise. On behalf of "the man of honor" who deserved far better, I appealed to the hostess to be seated elsewhere and graciously, she did so, in the dining area where the bar is located, not lending itself well to relaxed conversation, however. Oh well. Making up for the initial shifts and adjustments above, our server "Hunter" and the entrés 3 of the 4 of us chose were so delicious! Starting with Hunter, Cafe Piccolo would be wise to invest in retaining his skills in any possible manner. As a server, he was attentive, knowing what we needed and exactly when. He was warm, patient, personable and gentlemanly with a charming sense of humor. I cannot figure out how he was able to demonstrate such positive qualities with the 4 of us in conjunction with attending the other diners in this completely FULL dining room! The three of us ordered one of the specials offered--seared scallops with spinach-mushroom ravioli...magnifico!! This was prepared with super plump scallops, seared to perfection and the dough of the ravioli was light and thin. One of 3 salads is offered with entrées and, without hesitation, the one with Roquefort cheese dressing was a quick choice. Unfortunately, we live over an hour north of this delicious Italian cafe so returning frequently isn't likely. But if we're ever passing through the area, Cafe Piccolo (w/ Hunter as our server, of course) is #1 on our list.

This guy is on another level. From the moment we sat down, Nick's energy, knowledge, and genuine passion for hospitality set the tone for the entire evening. He wasn't just taking our order -- he was curating an experience. Now let's talk about the Cacio e Pepe -- insanely good doesn't even begin to cover it. It was perfectly executed: silky, bold, with just the right bite of pepper. Classic done right. But you know what made it taste even better? Nick. He recommended it with such confidence and enthusiasm that we had to order it, and he absolutely delivered. Nick was attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and just an all-around fantastic human being. He made us feel like VIP guests from start to finish -- checking in at exactly the right moments, offering spot-on suggestions, and keeping the whole experience flowing effortlessly. If you go to Portofino, you absolutely should ask for Nick by name. He is the kind of server that reminds you why going out to dinner is supposed to be a special occasion. We will 100% be back, and Nick is a big reason why. Portofino, you have a gem on your staff. Treat him well!

The owner stopped by our table multiple times. He and our waitress were so nice to our son, who I think was the only kid the in the restaurant. Old school. Proper. The sort of spot where you mind your business and enjoy your meal, because whatever's going on across the room is none of your concern. They don't waste time getting you sorted either. Straight into it with a soup to start, name escapes me but I can still taste it clear as day. Silky, rich, proper comforting stuff. The kind that makes you stop mid sentence and give a little nod of approval. Then the homemade rolls arrive, warm, soft, and dangerously good. You tell yourself one and done, but let's be honest, that's never how it goes. For the entrée, I stayed loyal. Chicken Alfredo. My go to whenever I'm sizing up an Italian spot. And mate, this one delivered in full. Creamy without being over the top, seasoned just right, and put together like someone in the back takes real pride in what they're doing. No shortcuts, no funny business. The lady went for the trio, chicken, shrimp, veal, the full works. A confident order and she was well pleased, which tells you everything you need to know. Portion sizes? Exactly as they should be. Generous without being ridiculous. We gave it a proper go, waved the white flag halfway through, and still had a tidy bit left to take back to the condo. Arguably just as good the second time round. And then there's the service. Shoutout Sammi. Absolute star. Made a couple from Texas feel like regulars on their third visit. Attentive without hovering, sharp without being stiff. Just how it should be. Some places serve food. This place gives you a proper evening. Five stars. Locked in.

Has a great evening out vibe but not in the stuffy or uptight way. Staff and servers were friendly, professional and handling the busy crowd well. We were served waters right away and a drink order was taken, then the beautiful bread basket was delivered and it had an assortment of carrots and celery plus, a crunchy flatbread cracker, buttery cheese biscuit, yeast roll, and a rustic sourdough roll (I'm guessing on these, but we ate them all!). For our meal we settled on the pork schnitzel with kale, brussels, and roasted potatoes and the scallops with butternut squash risotto. The schnitzels was lovely with its crispy breading, a creamy mushroom "gravy" and an onion sauce for the potatoes and veggies that was rich and flavorful. The brussels were caramelized and paired perfectly with creamy elements. The sautéed onions pulled the potatoes and kale in and it was just a great plate of food. Elevated comfort, Scallops were cooked perfectly and were tender with a nice "crust" and the risotto had chunks of pork belly and butternut squash for a salty/sweet balance. Sadly we didn't get dessert because we were headed to a party but we will be back to try the short rib and bread pudding!
