I first heard about Wedgewood Weddings through a few friends who had used them for their weddings,…read moreand after doing my own research, I completely understood the hype. Even though I toured a few other non-Wedgewood venues, I just knew choosing Wedgewood would mean a smoother, more stress-free experience. Their all-in-one business model was exactly what I needed. I was such a laid-back bride because of it! People kept asking if I was nervous leading up to the big day, and I'd always say, "No, why would I be? Everything is handled. I'm just excited to marry my person." And honestly, that's exactly how it should be. Wedgewood Weddings truly gave us the wedding of our dreams. The Harper is such a gorgeous venue. From the moment we arrived, the entire team--especially Lindsay and Jess--went above and beyond to make our day feel effortless, joyful, and full of love. They made my husband and me feel completely cared for, checking in with us throughout the day, keeping everything perfectly on track, and even rallying our wild groomsmen (which is no easy feat!). Our guests were blown away. Everyone raved about how attentive, organized, and kind the staff was. The welcome champagne was such a special touch and a total hit. Valet parking was a huge help, especially with limited parking at the venue. The food? Incredible. Guests were shocked at how many options there were. My uncle, who works in wedding catering, was taking notes because of how well everything was set up and executed! Wedgewood also partners with amazing vendors. Our dessert table from Patty's Cakes was a crowd favorite (the cupcakes, cookies, and cake were all divine), Olivia's Mum created stunning floral arrangements that matched my inspiration photos perfectly, Caleb from DJ Maestro kept the dance floor alive with spot-on music cues and an amazing vibe, and True Photography captured breathtaking, flawless photos that we'll treasure forever. The entire day ran like clockwork. We got to enjoy every single bite of food, every hug, every dance, and every laugh, because Wedgewood had it all handled. I never felt rushed or stressed. It truly felt like we were in the best hands from beginning to end. I honestly can't thank Lindsay, Jess, and the rest of the Wedgewood team enough for their warmth, professionalism, and heart. They poured so much care into every moment of our wedding, and it showed. If you're considering The Harper by Wedgewood Weddings, DO IT. It was hands down the best decision we made.

This was our first stay at the Pasea and so much of it was great!…read more PROS We bought our two young dogs and two kids and it was a great experience traveling with them! First of all, the people who work here are so nice! Peter was always smiling and giving the dogs treats (with permission every time). I swear they started looking for him- and they're pretty anxious around people. There are no dogs allowed in the pool area which I get but it makes it a little tough to juggle the kids wanting to swim for hours and not leaving the dogs unattended in the room. The beds were comfy and they have a built in sound machine system and it was the first time I have ever see that! I loved it! I struggle to sleep in hotels but wasn't bothered by any noise. The hotel is right across from the beach and next to an outdoor shopping mall. We walked to and from multiple times on our trip and it was nice to be close by! They also have beach chairs, towels and sand toys to borrow! They have adult bikes but nothing for the kids so we didn't utilize those. The restaurant is good with dog friendly seating and gluten free options. We had dinner there only. CONS the dog park is so cute and convenient but it wasn't sprayed off at all while we were there and since it was plastic grass, there was poo smeared all over the place. It was hard to find a spot to stand and you hope your dog doesn't walk through it. It also smells like warm pee. We were still grateful for it but I think a small patch of real grass would have been less gross! The fee for dogs is $150 a night and that adds up quickly! The bathrooms are not practical for families. They don't lock, the toilet room has fogged clear glass with big gaps so no one could be in the bathroom getting ready or showering if anyone else was in the toilet room. Also, there was a slider on the outside of the shower that allows the entire room to see you in the shower which was odd. I understand the desire for this if it was a couples trip but why not have the sliding door on the inside so the naked person can make the decision rather than anyone on the outside deciding to open it mid-shower? Parking is a whopping $60 a night plus there is only valet which means you either tip every single time you pull your car in or out or you feel like a jerk. The valet guys were great and we wanted to tip everyone but ran out of small cash bills quickly. We stayed two nights and had to pull our car out 4 times which is 8 tips. When you're paying $120 to park that's crazy! The jacuzzi is just warm not hot and the jets when on are cold! That was bummer. Overall I don't think we will return because there are so many awesome hotels in the area to try but we did enjoy our stay and found it worth the money! The Shorebreak Hotel doesn't charge for dogs so we will be going there next time!

Pool manager would not give us an umbrella despite nobody using them.... I told her even if we could have it for a little bit and when those people come we would give it back just so i could feed my son in peace and give him some shade. "There was nothing she could do" i then went for the hotel manager to see if they could step in and they weren't in, asked for the next person in charge she wouldn't even come out of the back room - just sent the front desk girl back to tell me she can't do anything... despite being incredible respectful and kind and literally begging for 5 hours for an umbrella there was "nothing to be done" i even asked for the cabana boys umbrella that wasn't being used in the corner... finally after hours of asking our amazing poolside waitress who kept fighting for us Natalie asked the people who weren't using one of the TWO umbrellas they had for the sun bed they generously gave it to us. We were so grateful.... Soo basically bring down the hand held umbrella in the closet HAHA cause you're screwed... not sure why the hotel doesn't have more umbrellas considering it's $600 a night.... And it's ridiculous to pay $300 for an umbrella basically. Hopefully they figure out the umbrella situation multiple people were pissed. ALSO- Peter best bell hop in the whole place! He's absolutely incredible and kind. He's extremely helpful with everything. Definitely request him

My husband is now spending Monday nights in OC every week for work. After trying a couple of other local hotels, we have chosen the Courtyard. Around 3:00 AM, I discovered that the air conditioning in our room was not working. The room was hot, uncomfortable, and completely unsuitable for rest. Given the situation, we went to the front desk to request a room change. Instead of helping, the staff member on duty immediately became rude and confrontational. I calmly explained that she was extremely tired and asked if we could move our belongings in the morning (before 8 AM) rather than in the middle of the night. That's when things escalated. He responded loudly: "You are not supposed to do this. You cannot keep two rooms. That's not how this works." His tone was aggressive and completely unnecessary. I politely asked him to lower his voice, but instead he became even more agitated. He started yelling in the lobby, saying things like, "How could you do this to me? It's only me working today--why would you bring this up right now?" At that point, it felt like he was taking his frustration out on us for simply reporting a problem. As the situation continued to escalate, I told him he needed to control himself and questioned why he was escalating things so far. In response, he said he would call the police to remove us. Let that sink in--paying guests, in the middle of the night, dealing with a broken AC, being yelled at in the lobby and threatened with police involvement. The entire interaction was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and honestly shocking. I was exhausted, overheated, and just asking for a reasonable solution. Instead, I met with hostility and public confrontation. Basic service recovery, respect, and professionalism were completely missing here. Instead of being able to rest, we found ourselves awake at 3:38 AM writing this review. What should have been a simple service request turned into an unnecessarily stressful and disruptive experience due to the staff member's unnecessary dramatic attitude in handling the situation.

Went to see ToBeHonest (the opener was better ngl) and I was having fun during the opener. Having hope and telling my friends they changed, the next event was Bonnie and Clyde. They packed the "dance floor" to the point ribs would get crushed for the next 1000 Ways to Die series. Bartenders so far are chill, but I only go to one guy and he deserves it. No offense to the others that I've yet to interact with. The bottle girls seem miserable, which sucks cause you'd think they'd be allowed to dance if it isn't busy, but maybe they're just burnt out? Who knows, but I get it. Time caters more to clubbing, whatever that is now, than dancing. The men just stand around, take up space, and expect a woman to fall onto them. Unless you really push for it, dancing isn't encouraged. You could get a table, but even then the energy around them felt off. Overall, there's a noticeable disconnect in the vibe. Security along with ticketing staff has been safe, consistent, and as long as you're nice they treat you the same or they push you along. It's a coin flip.
