I will…read moresay that she braids my hair and I never have any edge issues, as some braided have to much tension that can break the hair and bald the edges of the hairline. The most recent years there are her daughters and other employees that now braid regularly. I will give you some advice, 1st bring your own hair, as the hair quality they provide is not the best. Secondly be specific about what you want. I recently went there for micro and had more of box braids, and that is not what I wanted. Also bring cash as there is a 5 dollar charge up for credit cards. The atmosphere is not child friendly, and be prepared to watch a series of African directed movies ( which are entertaining) . For a weave sew in I only go to her sister, no one else, I would suggest going to a real stylist for. Weave install as they do nothing but sew the hair in, NO STYLING. Last be sure to mention to them if you want Mouse,oil sheen or products in your hair after the job, they love putting grease and other products on your hair in the end, without asking, and I don't play that due to my allergies. Be very specific and detailed once you get there. Which can be a hassle but at least you know you get what you want. Georgette, herself, does work with the customer and will fix any mistakes without argument, and I love that! She also does natural hair like dreads and twist! I told her I'd see what I could figure out - either go somewhere else or wait - but before I could, she told me she charges $65 and since my hair is short, I might not want to pay that. The pictures of this place and the work she does looks awesome, but I felt like that situation could have been handled differently. If she isn't actively seeking new clients, state that on your website or tell me, but don't insinuate that I can't afford you.
