Took my husband in to have a skin cancer removed from his arm and the procedure could not have been more easy. Dr Hu and her staff were very efficient and caring. The office was very busy but everything went smoothly from the time we checked-in to making the next appointment. When we returned to have his stitches removed, Ruby did a great job and made sure we were informed of what to expect and next steps. I take my father here. Dr. Hu is a good dermatologist. However, we were made to wait almost an hour for our appointment. I checked in with the front desk at 30 minutes and they were like "nothing we can do." It's extremely difficult as a caregiver to take two hours off work just for a ten minute appointment. If we were even fifteen minutes late, I'm sure they would be charging us a late fee or cancelling our appointment. Unacceptable. In addition, the waiting room is set up in such a way that it is absolutely awful for elderly people to navigate. My parents had to shimmy past people to find a seat. They can barely walk straight, let alone shimmy. I can't change care for my father at this age, but I personally will not be choosing this place for care for myself, nor do I recommend it to others. read more

Dermatology: treated for dermatitis then treated for psoriasis. All the expensive treatments, pills, etc. didn't work so asked for a biopsy which turned out to be indicative of dermatitis. Continued treatment without results. I took it upon myself to have my hair analyze. Comes to find out I have a particular type of Mold. Dr Hu did a scraping of my scalp which came out positive for that Mold. A referral has been sent into Infectious Disease doctors as they are the only ones that can prescribe the rare medication. The Team sends the referral in for psoriasis so the referral is denied because Infectious these doctors don't treat psoriasis. I have confident in the doctors but it seems like we have a training facility going on. You never see the same support team and they don't know what's going on. I am saying this after six years in their facility. Communication is very difficult through the phone. They'll call you back or leave a message doesn't usually happen. read more

I have to definately recommend Dr. Hu practice. She has always been very polite and professional in working in my case. Ruby one of her medical assitant has always gone above and beyond to help me anytime I have an issue. She has assisted me after hours and even on days the office is closed. She has always answered my calls no matter what. It is of great comfort and releif to know that no matter where im at I will get the assistamce I need. Consumers Beware: the report from my initial visit for a mole check contained 5 examples of actions that never occurred during my visit. For example, the report stated "offered the patient a full skin check, patient declines"; however I was never offered a full skin check. I repeatedly tried to contact a manager with no success. I reported to the Better Business Bureau and they didn't even respond to them. Do not use this business as they will charge you for services that were not rendered. read more

Ruby did a wonderful job in taking out my father's (the patient') stitches after his melanoma removal. Very informative and kind. She answered all our questions. She was very friendly and would recommend her to anyone! Dr.Hu was also fabulous and all the staff we have encountered. read more

I've had two visits here and have been consistently, extremely disappointed. I saw a Nurse Practitioner who did not take my vitals, did not offer me any type of blood work/ testing, and did not listen to my concerns. He prescribed me a medication that I stated I had tried in the past to no effect. When I had a follow up appointment a month later, he audibly gasped that I "still" had skin problems, as though I hadn't already explained to him that this medication had not worked for me previously. To make matters worse, the "visit notes" in the portal are full of lies. The NP noted, "I offered the patient a full skin check, patient declines." This is a lie. It notes that I was wearing a face mask during the visit, which I was not. It states that my "mood and affect" was "angry" because I said it was frustrating to not see any results. The notes also specifically say to take two antibiotics at the same time, but when I told the NP I did so (and experienced terrible side effects), he again gasped as if that was a crazy thing to do. Overall, the people here are unkind and unhelpful. I would not recommend this office to anyone. read more

I took my child in to consult with Dr Hu. She was extremely knowledgeable and was very reassuring. Everything went well! The front desk was a little slow at checking in but once that was done it went very well. Dr Hu was exceptional. I went in for a check up and ended up having a procedure. Dr. Hu is very attentive. Nancy and Ruby were the best assistants. Very attentive and knowledgeable. Nancy did an amazing job stitching my biopsy area. Ruby did a tremendously good explaining to me the procedure and follow up instructions. My follow up visits and stitches removed were done by Ruby and again I was impressed with her knowledge. If you scroll through the one star reviews, you start to see a very clear pattern of disrespectful behaviors towards the businesses own customers. My experience is no different. A wonderful business if you want to spend days on the phone looking for answeres that this business is too inept to give. Skip the hassle and go somewhere else. The doctor we saw was great, but this has to be one of the worst staffed businesses I have experienced here in Tucson. If you have an appointment on Wednesday, come early so you can get a parking spot. We are back here today to get my husband's stitches removed after a basal cell skin cancer removed. It's a little chaotic in here. Be aware that if you check in for any dermatology procedures or wound care, you need to go in the Renew 360 door (north side) and check in at that desk since it's now the Dermatology reception desk. If you have a cosmetic procedure, go in the Specialists in Dermatology door (east side). Hopefully, they will get their doors updated to reflect the correct area soon. Dr. Hu and Don are the best! My experience at this dermatologist office was disappointing. The front desk staff was very rude and unprofessional during check-in, which set a negative tone right away. While waiting, I noticed the walls were dusty and the overall environment didn't appear very clean -- not what you'd expect in a medical setting. During my appointment, I received one shot, wart removal, and medication for eczema, but the visit felt rushed. The staff asked very few questions before or after the procedures, and the room itself didn't feel sanitary or comfortable. Additionally, the parking lot is poorly maintained and it's difficult to find a spot. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this office. Arrived for my appointment only to be told that my referral expired three days before my scheduled time. Who is in charge there and why didn't I know about this before hand. How come that wasn't checked when I scheduled my appointment? Not a good way to do things in my opinion To clarify it doesn't matter with Healthcare... Love the doc love the staff! SRT is a hassle and hard to schedule. Doc takes a lot of time off I mean a lot of time. 2 months of treatment turning into 4 + months. Not a problem unless doing SRT. My last visit was like walking into a crowded Walmart. The staff was uninterested short and abrupt My co-pay was only supposed to be $25 yet. They insisted it was $35 even though it said on the card it was $25. They sent me a refund check two weeks later for $10 .. I was in for a skin check and the person that did it was not familiar with any of my previous medical history or my previous cancer surgeries. They were abrupt and did not feel they were very accommodating to my concerns. Of course they always seem happy to freeze anything they can get away Used to be a great office everyone was friendly and you felt like they listened to you And now it's like an overpacked cattle call. You ever make a clinical appointment for a specific time only to check in and watch the clock go past your scheduled appointment time? Well, that's something you will not experience here. Staff here are on point with their schedule you will not have enough time to scroll through your social media for too long. Dr. Don is my dermatologist expert, and an expert he is. He is very informative with care advice that there is no doubt he lacks knowledge on the topic. He is quick with his recommendations, which assures me he isn't questioning his treatment plan for me. read more

Friendly, competent staff. Waiting room reminds you of the terminal for Spirit Airlines. Every visit is a little different. Once there was a family reunion at one end. They chatted for ten minutes and then everybody got up and left. I assume there was at least one patient in the mix. Don't expect to see an MD for your co pay. There's only one MD on the door and a staffer told me they see 100 patients a day. My wait times ranged from five minutes to nearly an hour. Bring a book. The doctor saw me for 1 minute. The parking lot is in shambles, as signs are knocked down, the sprinkler lines are sticking up, and easy to fall on. The girl at the front desk was very rude. We had a problem with payment, she said out loud, You can't afford it, then I will cancel your appointment. Then she said something to the other girls in Spanish, very unprofessional. I believe the front desk sets the tone for the appointment. The first time I came for an appointment, the girl was not friendly. She does not tell you hello, does not smile and seems either extremely bored or irritated to be there or deal with patients. The second time was not any better. Would not recommend this place I had an appointment scheduled for my son they canceled the appointment because we were 10 minutes late traffic is horrible through grant just to get there if your coming from downtown. I've trusted Specialist in Dermatology with my skin care for a number of years. Altho' some of my assigned providers have changed over time, all were professional and attentive. In addition to them treating many occasional low-risk skin lesions. They have removed 3-4 Basal Cell growths without any dangerous re-growth. I'll stick with them! read more
