I needed some…read moresun-damaged skin on my nose looked at last week, and the professionalism and level of, "empathetic-customer-service" that I experienced was exceptional. So much so, that as I got back into my car, I paused and reflected on how nice a world it would be if all businesses treated their customers with the same level of respect, and courtesy, and sincere care that Pima Dermatology does. Dr. Moussa was my doctor. She and her care-staff made me feel super-comfortable and took the time to explain the process. The exam was conducted efficiently , but it never felt rushed. I was impressed by how gentle Dr. Moussa was and how she showed concern for me when she had to do a couple minor scrapings (it hurt at a "level 2" (like a pin prick) on a scale of 10, but she still was like a loving-mom taking care of her kid after he fell of his bike and scraped his knee--*That's kinda corny, but if you ever get treated by Dr. Moussa, I bet you think, "Oh, that yelp review guy was right, this does seem like a super caring mom is watching out for me.)" Additionally, on the front lines of Pima Derm, there is also a genuine warmth and empathy that can be felt as soon as one enters the facility (*actually, I felt this way when I first called to set up the appointment a few weeks ago, as whomever answered the phone, when I called, showed the perfect blend of professionalism and warm kind-heartedness as we spoke ). The front-office administrative staff that handles the paperwork, and are the first point of contact with the patients, was also superb and despite the fact that my appointment was late in the afternoon, they greeted me with warm smiles and a sincere friendliness that one can expect if you are the first customer to arrive in the morning. My hat comes off to you guys at Pima Dermatology...that's the way to run a business!

I went there to see Dr. Glasner as I had been seeing PA's and NP's and felt it was important to see a real Derm as I have very bad skin. Dr. Glasner was great, reccomended I come twice a year for "skin check" (full body check), but said I could only see her once a year but should schedule with another provider for the other. OK...so I did that and liked "Dr." Issaih who did the follow-up procedure from a biopsy that Dr. Glasner took and so I stuck with him. Fast forward...I called to get that second "skin check" for June, but when I went in they booked me for just a spot check, I was told at front desk. "Dr" Issiah said he could do that (don't they have to book a longer time?) So we did that and they billed Medicare and my Supplement "at the highest level"...went back for procedure due to biopsy result a week later, and was charged for that but also for an "office vistit" as I asked a question about the prescription that he wrote the week before. Huh? I also have a bump that did not just happen and need to have that looked at. I asked when I could see the actual Dr. who reccommended twice a year to try to do that this year. 8 months out! Where is the follow up or guidance? I went from billing to the office manager, and their attitude is "you can call and schedule an appointment whenever you want" and yes medicare will pay... A little guidance from the office would be appreciated and not charging for office visit because a question was asked? This is why Medicare is going insolvent and why for those of us who actually pay for a supplement pay through the nose or can't get coverage. No office seems to be any better here BTW. No clue what to do or where to go.

I recently had a full body skin cancer exam at your clinic. The PA was Ms. Myers. The examination…read morewas wrapping up without Ms. Myers having found any concerns on my skin needing immediate attention. As I was about to get dressed, in walked an older woman, a physician if I remember correctly, who glanced down at my arm and said, "Let's take a picture of that and check in again at the next appointment (in one year)". A photo was taken, and I dressed and left. No one asked me to schedule another follow-up appointment and I did not. I will explain. As I told Ms. Myers, my mother, father and brother all have melanoma. I've had basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas. Even so, I would guess that Ms. Myers did not spend more than 1-3 minutes on my exam. There was no exam of my scalp, in-between my toes, buttocks, genitals, mouth, and what she did examine was looked at with such speed that I knew I was going to have to go to another dermatologist for a thorough check up. I immediately made an appointment with Dyson Dermatology (2/10/22). The PA in charge found 3 precancerous sites on my face and treated them with nitrous oxide. She also found a suspicious 'freckle' (the same one your PA took a photo of) and said, "Oh, we need a biopsy of that." Sure enough, the biopsy came back as a malignant melanoma. I am seeking treatment at the Mayo Clinic. Mayo doctors have requested the names of all the providers that examined my skin in the last months. I gave them your name and number. If for some reason you are contacted by the Mayo Clinic this would likely be the reason. I was terribly disappointed by cursory examination I received by your PA. Even the physician who suspected a potential problem did not request a biopsy or even indicate that I needed a follow up appointment. Sadly, it is only because I'm a highly educated professional that I understand that the medical system fails far too many patients far too often; that only those who are capable and willing to advocate on their own behalf, to make calls and follow up, get the medical care (if they are lucky) they need and deserve. I would imagine that a little more care and attention to your patients, with less attention to your bottom line, would make your clients (and even you, I suspect) much happier and healthier.

She answers all my questions as well as just having a friendly conversation. Her appointments are booked so that she is not rushing in and out of patient examining rooms. The staff are nice, especially the technicians and nurse in the back. The office is clean and the services offered are varied. I recommend her to all my new neighbors .

And I was very impressed when Dr. Hu and staff worked with me on a time constraint on day one and I was able to return the next day to finish. I left a poor review for Specialists in Dermatology in July 2026 due to complications from Mohs…read moresurgery performed by Dr. Hu and her staff. What lead to the scathing review was the fact the Dr. Hu would not even acknowledge my problem, even after I made a special trip to the office to simply ask the staff to give Dr. Hu a message to call me because of my wound which would not heal after Mohs surgery in April 2026 performed by Dr HU. The PA and the wound care staff member were not properly trained to care for a severe wound like mine, which became infected. I ended up in the emergency room and subsequently had to be treated once a week at TMC Wound care for 3 months before the wound finally healed. This included debriding the wound, placing medications in the would and having a special medical compression wrap replaced once per week for almost 3 months. After I left the review, I received a call from an administrator from their office. She asked me to describe what transpired. After she heard my story, she said they would investigate the situation and promised to call me back. Well, here we are, almost 2 months later and no one has tried to reach me. I feel like Dr. Hu considers herself to be quite above her patients and does not show any empathy for a problem like mine. I will never go back to their office and will continue to tell this story to anyone who will listen.

After the procedure was done, I did not see any improvement at all. 6 months later, I visited him and he told me to be patient and that it takes time. Another 3 months later, I visited him & was told that it takes time again. Dr. Lo did suggest that he would have to do something else (I don't remember the technical terms of the procedure) & would not charge me. Based on the lack of improvement from my original procedure, I did not have confidence for him to do another procedure on me.
