My initial interaction with this team was by sending quote inquiries via Yelp messaging. To my surprise, I received a reply within minutes (I sent a message Sunday evening). The following day one of their team members came out to assess the area which we wanted two split ductless AC systems installed. Their prices were comparable to other quotes we received. My husband and I decided to use them over the others because of their quick response and sincerity when speaking with them. Major plus... they installed our 2 systems on a Saturday. Our planned start time was between 8am to 9am and they were about 45 mins late, but they made up for it afterwards. Within 4 hours everything was done. The area was cleaned up and everything was ready to go. Additionally, during the installation they found some old electrical wiring and fixed it for us at no cost. Overall a positive experience. This is the worst experience, excuses, and solution a company can do. This company dodges question and the Carlos (owner) & Phil (administration manager) ignores your phone calls by screening them with another employee. Watch out because after they do a job (which ours was 2 months before the problem) the company tells you to put good comments on Yelp to help them out. Their work was to replace the heater and put it in the attic, put a new AC unit, new ducts, new everything and the price was adequate but it was the wrong choice (I should've gone with my first option, I should've gone with my gut feeling). Our first problem with the AC happened 2 months after the install because the AC kept turning off after 30 min and we couldn't turn it back on. We called the service number and it took time to get someone to check it out. When they showed up, they said, "it's an improper installation of a pipe because it had a clink so it needs to be replaced. It's an easy fix." Did its job the same day, fixed it, and left. A week after....again... same problem..... called again... took longer this time....showed up.... same answer... improper installation of a pipe, clink. It didn't make sense because they did that a week ago but this time they were there for 5 mins left and never came back. I think they just turned it off and on or I don't know what exactly but it worked. Another week after.... this time I get a call from my wife around 6ish (this was during the heat wave) telling me the ceiling was sagging and I needed to get home immediately. This part look at the pictures because that's what I got home too. The equipment was installed exactly where the water damage is at so they can't blame anything else caused it. I called the AC company and they told us they would go... this time the owner shows up. Looks at the equipment and said the pipe was never the problem that a piece was broken and a part needed to be replaced. The water damage though "sorry, it could be the AC but don't worry we'll fix the damage." Their solution, 1. put fans to dry the ceiling for a whole week 2. patch the wet parts with plaster 3. paint over it. That's it! They tried it and it was even worse and it damaged the ceiling even more. Water on the ceiling cannot just be painted and that's it. I asked for their insurance and they "100%" did not want me to call them. They dodged all my phone calls, emails, any type of communication hoping I would let it go. I tried many times to obtain their insurance but since they didn't, I filed a case against their contractors license. Next day, I got their insurance information :/ The ending, we're still working on our claim and it's been really long all because they don't have a California insurance company and I want to voice my situation it's been with this company, Phil, and Carlos. Carlos gave me a story about he wants to stay a small business and wants to fix it and he's happy about not getting bigger... my BS meter went off. Phil gave me the run around that the insurance company doesn't need to get into it. ***Important for everyone**** 1. Always ask for the "Certificate of Liability" and ask to put your name as the additional insured. They don't give it to you with your name on it... red flag 2. Look up the company's Bond in case you need another company fix their mess. 3. Just look for another AC company. ******************************** I explained everything exactly how it happened and pictures are my proof. Also, in the beginning of this incident Phil said he didn't care about if it got on Yelp but instead he wanted to fix everything quickly and correctly. Never happened. Their integrity is missing, trained employees missing (since everything said something that it wasn't), BS present, and they love playing Dodge ball. ***Answer to Carlos*** That is not true. Techs would come after a long time of trying to speak with someone and if I talked with someone they would just say they'd try to contact you or Phil. I adjusted my schedule to make sure the damage was fixed and that was difficult. You told me you'd do whatever needed to the ceiling. The drywall guy told me that you just wanted him to patch and paint. You changed the reason that painting would be enough and that was it. The drywall guy was very nice and is just stuck in middle when I would tell him what needed to be done. The sorry that is being posted is more like a political sorry than sincere. I am so grateful for Marcus at Specialize Heating & Air Conditioning! Our AC went out during a two-week heat wave of over 100 degrees and our house was getting up 92 degrees. We had a different company come out and although they were friendly, their recommendation to our cooling situation was astronomical and didn't sit well with us. Our heater went out recently and were in dire need of replacing our wall furnace since there was a tear inside that was irreplaceable. Our home has been excruciatingly cold. I contacted multiple businesses in the area, but Specialized Heating were so on top of responding to my messages and following up with me with phone calls when they'd be coming. Their customer service was impeccable. Carlos and Lorenzo were the main people I was in contact with during the negotiations. They worked with my availability and had Tony come in early Friday morning to check out the problem. Since we had to get an entirely new furnace they said they were able to replace it the next day. With a great quote and how urgent we needed to get one up and running again we went ahead and hired them for the job same day. Saturday morning comes around and their two guys arrived earlier than their eta which was great and immediately got to tearing down and installing our new furnace straightaway. They were so efficient and professional! They were so organized and clean during the entire process. Covered our wood floors with fabric as to not mess up our floors. We were really excited to work with Specialize as we were looking for some routine maintenance & their reviews looked pretty good. I used yelp's "request a quote" option and got a response very quickly! Unfortunately, after the initial response, things went downhill. We are a commercial property so management has to approve any vendors and they have to meet certain COI requirements. This is not my area of expertise but I'm assuming it's some sort of insurance stuff. When we requested the information the first woman I spoke to sent some stuff over. It turns out that she sent a bunch of stuff that wasn't requested so it was all wrong. No big deal, mistakes happen so we emailed her requesting the correct information. 24 hours went by without a response so we called and spoke to a different lady this time. After explaining the situation she put me on hold and after a few minutes she said the guy that handled that wasn't getting to there until 4:00pm. Ok, just have him call me back. That never happened. They also stopped responding to emails. In the end, I had 4 different people help me and none of them were able to give me a solid yes or no. If you're a residential customer, I'm sure you'll have no problems. But if you're a commericial customer and your property has certain requiremnts that need to be met...you might want to look somewhere else. read more

Marcus and Juan were really nice and made me feel very comfortable with the work that I would be getting. I was desperate to have someone take a look at our heater in our new home since it was 37 degrees inside. The owner said someone would call me. Josh from Specialize Heating & Air came out on a Saturday to run a tune-up for my HVAC. His approachable and professional manner was very welcoming and he described everything in full detail on what he was doing during the tune-up. He even spent the time going through the home inspection report that I had to make sure he didn't missed anything the report may have found. He was very patient with me explaining about the ducts and where the ventilation threaded throughout the house. For a new homeowner like me, it was very valuable information to have Josh go through step-by-step on what each function was and what maintenance was needed to keep efficiency at its peak. He saw that my AC unit was creeping to its limit (since 2005, I believe) but suggested to keep using it until it breaks. He did not find any problems with it during his inspection. His honesty and professionalism is truly valued. I contacted 4 companies via Yelp for an estimate and Marcus was the first to reply within minutes and definitely offering the best quote. Once we set up a date, which was fairly soon after and not weeks out like others offered, Cory showed up to do the service. He was punctual, professional and courteous. Cory serviced out air, explained what the problem was and recommended what we needed. He offered his expertise but was not pushy which Ivreally appreciated. From start to finish, Michelle, Marcus and Arturo were great. My home did not have any ducts so it was a full central heating and air installation with a mini split installation in the master bedroom, due to no attic space. Marcus and his team were able to explain why certain had to be modified during the installation. Although there was an issue with the mini split making to much noise when it drained the water, after bringing it to Marcus attention, they were able provide a solution for which I am very thankful. The mini split no longer makes the loud noise and the unit is very quiet now. Definitely recommend there services, they follow up with the me from beginning to end and do not avoid you when you have questions or concerns. read more

I called Carlos at Specialize after seeing the business advertised in my local mailer. I was able to schedule an appt. for a consultation the very next day at the time I wanted. At our consultation I shared the two problems in our house, (our kitchen cabinets had been build over a vent without having it capped off, and our bedroom vent lacked force). I mentioned that we also were interested in having him look at our back house as there is no air in the unit. After we walked through the house and identified solutions to my air/heating problems, we discussed price and possibilities. I never felt pressured from Carlos, in fact he was very forth coming and offered me solutions that were cost effective. In the end, I decided on the unit for the back house and he fixed my other problems for free! We scheduled the install for 3 days later. American Home Shield. They tried to tell me I needed an entire new system that would cost 5800.00! My AC went out during a huge heatwave in the IE. I called and spoke to receptionist and she was able to get someone out same day. The gentleman came out and basically said I need a whole new AC unit and furnace. He gave an estimate of around 8000-9000k. I thought he was out of his mind. I just paid the Diagnostic fee and thanked him. I know someone that works on AC in Temecula. He drove down Monday evening, seen the capacitor was bubbled up and replaced that. My AC started working! Only charged me 100.00. Its pretty sad a company like this would try to charge so much when it was a small part that needed to get replaced.
