I had Jeff and possibly Paul come out to complete several tasks: install two new ceiling speakers, run cables to the area behind the TV stand, install Cat6a (Ethernet) cables to four rooms, and shorten the existing wires that previously ran to an audio box. I wanted everything relocated to the new TV stand for a cleaner, more organized look. When they arrived, I walked them through everything in detail. I showed them the new ceiling speaker locations, the dynabox's for those speakers, and the new HDMI and optical cables I purchased to replace the old, unnecessarily long 25-foot cables. At one point, they asked where the receiver was, as they couldn't find it in the box. I pointed out that it was inside a brown audio box on the side of the room. Shortly after, they realized they had forgotten to install the dynabox's in the attic, so they had to go back up to complete that step. Once they were done, they asked me to test the audio for the TV and receiver, but it didn't work. I immediately noticed they hadn't used the shorter cables I provided--instead, they coiled them up along with the old speaker wire, leaving visible coils of cable that clutter the room. Additionally, the heavy HDMI cable they used caused damage due to mishandling. They plugged it into multiple HDMI slots during troubleshooting, which loosened several ports on my receiver. I emphasized that the shorter cables needed to be installed as planned to achieve a clean look, but they disregarded this. To make matters worse, they couldn't figure out how to get the receiver working again. Instead of troubleshooting systematically, they began pressing random buttons. The issue was simply that the HDMI cable wasn't plugged into the correct port for the TV. There was also an issue running the Cat cable to the first bedroom. As a workaround, I suggested running it to the desk downstairs instead. Later, I discovered they installed Cat6 cables, not the Cat6a cables I specifically requested. The next day, I called Jeff to express my disappointment, particularly about the visible speaker wire coils that disrupt the clean look I wanted. He agreed they should have been shortened and said he would fix it the next time he was in Parker for another TV installation. However, he has not called me back, won't answer my calls, and has ignored my messages on Thumbtack. I reached out yesterday before posting this because I don't like leaving negative reviews. Jeff said he could come out today and promised to call me back within 10-15 minutes, but he never did--and he didn't show up either. At this point, I am extremely dissatisfied with the quality of their work, especially for the price I paid. I initially thought I was saving money by choosing them, but in hindsight, I would have gladly spent more for a company that delivers better results.
