We were looking for a lightweight camper that we could tow with our Honda Odyssey. I had seen a couple of trailers on the lot that I knew were well below that tow weight limit. When my husband and I walked into the showroom/office, we spoke to someone at a desk, who nodded at another guy for us to talk to. This guy had absolutely no interest in helping us, and insisted that there weren't any camper trailers made that were under our 3.500 limit for our tow vehicle (which was also equipped with a transmission cooler, etc.) I asked if we could go look around and he said sure, help yourself. I googled several of the trailer models they had on hand as we walked through the lot, and found several that weighed a good 1000 lbs less than our limit. We walked in again to ask about some of those, but were ignored. So we walked out. Ended up buying a nice Aliner elsewhere. read more

They get a good solid "1". Service is awful. Purchased a unit, with a damaged couch and some other issues. They put it off for ever, and then came back that the replacement unit is not available and ... that's that. Advise that you absolutely do not take it off the lot until everything is fixed or repaired and 100 Percent working order. ...... Check it out good and hard, as this is the last you will see of them. we purchased our RV from Calvin & we had issues ever since / the amount of the RV that he told us was not the amount he told us - when we mentioned it to the finance person he said they could fix it - i it was minutes before closing I felt rushed to sign - once the paperwork was signed & we tried to get a hold of the Manager as well as our sales rep we keep getting told they are swamped - Please it's an RV shop not very busy from 3-6pm during the week - can not get anyone to call us back . My husband and I just purchased a used fold down travel trailer from Specialty RV and we were extremely pleased with the service we received from Gabe in the service department. We are newbies in the RV world and Gabe went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we understood the ins and outs of our camper before we left. Do not waste your time with this RV "dealer". Basically told me that if I saw it cheaper to go to the other place to buy it. A very sad showroom of Salespeople I assume. Poor selection and poorly maintained location. Shop around. By the way, I appreciated there advice, I did shop around and there are many more dealers willing to cooperate and deal. read more

Was greeted by Michael Griffith (Griff) when I first walked in, very nice and polite, he was new there, looked at several toy haulers and let him know that my girlfriend Carla and myself was looking to make a purchase soon. after looking at 2 campers, I stated to Griff that I would set an appt. so we both could decide on a camper that fit our needs. Both of us came back on a friday to purchase a 2020 wolf pack that was advertised for 26,995, and when Griff showed us the out the door figures, it added up to over 33, 000 dollars. Speciaty RV has added 1500 dollars for wanting to pay cash for the camper and Griff had stated that they get a kickback when they do the financing, to his credit, sure he was trained to say that, and 990 dollars for prep fee to there advertised online price. Thats 2490 dollars that is not disclosed to there online advertised price! Danielle the Sales mgr came out at the end and said thats the price, and the GM Todd Lacy was sitting in the showroom with nothing to add, so we left with no follow up from the dealership. My biggest disappointment is that the fees are not disclosed in the advertised price on the website and luckily I live only 15 minutes away, Cannot imagine driving in from several hours away to get hit with those fees! Fortunately we found the same unit at All Seasons RV in Streetsboro, Ohio and made a deal and heading up there on the 30th to pick up our new camper for the Specialty advertised price of 26995 plus tax and title with no other fees being added to the price! I found an RV they had in stock and I was ready to make a deal. The salesman I spoke with was friendly. I told him what I had to trade and they came back with a really low number. Thanks to the internet, NADA, and RV Trader I knew what ours was worth retail and it was about $4,000 - $7,000 more than what they said it was worth, which was $30,000. They offered me $26,000. I presented these pieces of info which showed units a year older than mine going for $32,000 retail and I found most our age were $34,000 to $37,000 but they then chose to stop responding to me rather than adjust their offer. So clearly they weren't too eager to do business with me. I was pretty disappointed as I really liked the RV they had in stock and thought they should make more effort to deal. read more

Nothing worked right.... Had to take unit to dealer 3x for issues. Still waiting on more parts to come in. Talked to dealer agreed to swap out unit and they tried to take advantage and trick us into refinancing ...not even 2 months old. Drove an hour To hopefully purchase the camper and probably would have if he was there but it was his day off. Even though I talk to him on Thursday and he told me he would be there Friday. I really like our camper but their sales and customer service was less than par. I bought a brand new 5th Wheel from Spec. RV but will most likely be finding another dealer to provide me with service. I wouldn't call them rude but it was very disorganized process from the wrong equipment being installed to a fairly new technician letting me know he was to busy to assist with more than one attempt at showing me how to hook up and dismount (they did later correct this situation which was appreciated but at the very minimum better training is needed). read more

I purchase a new RV from these people in July 2016. I drove from northern Va. To pick it up and everyone was great. Then I traded it in and up graded to a 5th wheel. On the 9th of August I sent all the paperwork needed to cancel my extended warranty as required. Called to verified they received it and they confirmed receipt and I was told it would take a while to get a refund. So I waited 6 week and called the warrenty company to see what the hold up was. I was informed that the had not received the notice of cancellation. So called dealership and they had not processed it yet. 2 days later I called and I was told how much and they wold cut a check Friday or Monday. Called again and I was told wit went out in the mail wed or Thursday. Should have check by Tuesday. Called today and now the check was signed on Thursday and went out in the mail Thursday or Friday. So so should receive it by wednesday or Thursday. Well I guess we'll have to wait and See. Heck of a way to run a business. read more

We have had the BEST experience dealing with Mark Hay at Specialty Toy Haulers! I live in Missouri and made a purchase for a hard to find RV. I was nervous about making a purchase of this size without seeing it for myself, but Mark made it easy! He sent pictures, answered every call and text immediately...AND stayed until after 9:30pm just to meet our transport company for pickup!!! Talk about customer service. We bought a used travel trailer from Specialty RV. It was listed on Craigslist with lots of clear photos, along with another trailer that we wanted to see. Upon arrival, we discovered that the second trailer had sold that morning, but the one we ultimately ended up buying was still available. We took a thorough tour - the salesman answered all of our questions and got help with the ones he couldn't answer. He did not pressure us to buy. We loved the trailer (obviously) and bought it on the spot. We got advice on how to prep our truck for towing (it needed a trailer brake control installed) and were told to come back to the service dept. to pick up our trailer during the next week. Fortunately my husband and I both were able to be off work to do this. When we arrived at the service dept., things were a bit hectic. We waited a bit to get our walk-through, but once it started we got a complete instructional on how to operate everything in our trailer. We asked a lot of questions, all of which were answered. We did have to ask again for things like a crank for the stands - it seemed one person was trying to do a lot of tasks at the same time. I can't fault him for that - more staff was needed. Our trailer was super clean and topped off with propane and a charged battery. read more

They sell RV's here. We bought a brand new travel. Several mistakes were made in the process of paperwork. They wrote up the wrong trailer, color wise. They fixed everything that was incorrect and got the right trailer. I do believe the overall staff could be a bit more friendly and at least try to be excited for your, being your buying a new RV and whole new adventure starts for you. I didn't get that here at the sales office at all, but I did from the Service center in Lancaster. I have a separate review for them on Specialty RV Sales the other one. On a day that the salesman was off that I was originally working with. I went in to ask some questions and take some measurements prior to the deal closing. I don't think the salesman that "assisted" me should be employed with employer that has direct customer interaction. The best bet for me that day was to just leave. My wife and I basically just walked out of the place mid conversation because no one seemed to have any urgency to help us out. The negativity, attitudes and weird looks were just out of line entirely. My salesman was not that way at all. He was on top of it. He was running all over and taking care of several issues at once, so some mistakes are going to be made. That's what fast pace and multi tasking does for you. Just happens. I appreciated his sense of urgency and determination to work with us and get our deal closed. After everything was decided, My list was to thank him for being on the ball, sign my papers and get the hell out of that place. read more

This has been the absolute worst experience i have had buying anything. They didn't disclose up front that i was not allowed to take the RV home on the same day that i purchased it. So on the second trip, i am expected to take a day off work to go pick up my camper because the service department is not open on Saturdays. The posted hours on their website include Saturday hours of 9am to 3pm. Again, this info was disclosed after the deal was final.
