Used Spectrum Bay a second time, same excellent results! Henry and team did a quality job, for a good rate, and he was available soon. As usual, they didn't take any shortcuts. They actual remove outlet/switch covers instead of painting around them, taped up fixtures, caulked the baseboard. They covered up the floor well. They use high grade paint, not cheap stuff. They had a large crew, so the job was completed very quickly as well. The only minor issue is that which such a large crew, you do have some variations in the skill level of the workers. So don't expect everything to be perfect. But given all the factors, I still give them 5 stars. read more

Had Spectrum Bay Painting paint the exterior of my mothers house, and if I could just comment on the walk around prior to paint with Henry, the quality of work performed, and the final outcome. Well to start I walked around the house and asked if the dirt would be pulled from the edge of the house, and if the nails that were onset the eves be cut off, showed him the cracks in the house that needed to be patched as well as the stucco around one window needed a wire wheel to make the edge flush with the existing stucco. His reply "yes we will take care of all that." Next, the quality of work performed with a six or seven man crew. They suck! I never seen or heard any one sand, scrape, grind/wire wheel, or have any caulk to be used for the prep of the house. They didn't move any dirt, they patched a few holes but never smoothed it out. Left holes where they had taken out screws, left all kinds of nails protruding through the eves. Painted one coat of paint with no back rolling. So, the final look of the house--/ well it looks like crap! I had asked the crew why the garage door wasn't painted and they said I was putting a new one on. "No" not installing a new door. The garage door still isn't painted. And, to top it all off it rained 1-1/2 hours later after they left. If I could give them zero stars - that's what kind of company Spectrum Bay Painting is! Zero!! Now-- if all is remedied and my mothers house repainted properly. I will update this review, but for now I would recommend finding another painting company to go with. I hired Spectrum Bay Painting to refinish my kitchen cabinets. It was such a breeze working with Henry from the get go. I couldn't take Henry into the house (as it was occupied by the previous owners) for an estimate, so Henry estimated the price over photographs. despite that there were no surprise costs at the end of the project. He and his team completed the project on time and the final product looks phenomenal. I got my floors stained after the cabinets were painted, and Henry offered to come by and touch up anything that was messed up because of floor sanding. I hired Henry to paint my house interior recently. He was on time for his quote and gave me a reasonable price so I decided to go with him right away based on the good reviews and his promise of finishing the job fast. He emailed me his proposal and then showed up on time on the painting day. He and his crew were very fast, efficient and done the job in just 1 and half days. However, on the final walk through, I found the floor base board in my daughter's room was not painted. It was the original wood color. I asked him to paint it white like every other parts in the house but he told me he can't. The reason he gave me was, "because I'd have to prime it before painting." Since every other parts were painted and his job was great, I paid him and considered the job done. But when I went home and check the proposal carefully again, he specifically wrote in the proposal that the job includes: * Prime painting surfaces where needed Isn't this the situation that requires priming? So every time I walk into my daughter's room, I was wondering why he told me he can't paint it because he would have had to prime it. My daughter's room looks different from every other rooms in my house. It's a small thing but it is very annoying. I would have give him 2 stars because of this, but he's job was great and his crew were awesome. They even helped me to plug in a plug which I can't reach in the garage ceiling when I asked him to help. So I'll keep my review of 3 stars. read more

I found a gentleman by the name of Henry while browsing Craigslist. I actually called a few places to get some price quotes. Henry was a very pleasant man over the phone. Our first conversation was brief, got a price quote to paint my room. After pondering for awhile I decided to ask Henry if he could paint my room, door, and the floor trimming for a specific price. To my surprise, he said "Yes." After confirmation, we scheduled an appointment early in the morning. To my surprise he came earlier than the appointment. Had paint in hand, tools and such as well as a partner and painted away. Oh I forgot to add, after I told my dad about the reasonable price, my dad requested to paint his room as well. Without hesitation, Henry was willing to even give us a better deal since I requested to paint both rooms. I left my house to go to work and came back and was impressed by the work he had done. To be honest though, I didn't expect the color code that I chose to be so dark. I guess you can say I messed up on that part, since it looks lighter on the website of Kelly Moore's website. But some of my friends who have visited my room actually liked the color. I have to admit, the dark walls did grow on me. If the ladies love it, then so do I. Word of advice, visit a Kelly Moore store first and look at the paint code in person instead! So after the job was, I noticed that the floor trimming weren't painted. So I called Henry and mentioned it to him. Without hesitation again, he was willing to come early morning to finish the job. Once again he was on time and painted what was left. Let me add, Henry also painted the inside of my closet, and the closet doors without even charging me a dime. Overall, I would have to say that paying Henry was worth every penny. My friends all bagged on me for having someone paint my room. But for the price I paid, it was well worth the money and saved myself the time and headache if I tried painting it myself. I just realized that I owe Henry from Spectrum Bay a review on the work he and his team did on painting the interior of my home last spring. Henry was very accommodating to the design, paint map, and color palette of my interior designer. We used 7 different colors, painting various accent walls and highlighting interesting architectural features of my home. It was definitely not an easy job, but Henry and his team did a great job. I was very amazed that they were able to complete the job in just two days with only a few days notice. He gave me a great price on the job, which was about half the cost that other companies quoted me. My designer also requested a specific paint brand for the color palette, and even though it was the most expensive paint you could use, Henry was able to procure the paint at a reasonable cost. I found Henry and team on Yelp just a week ago. Last week Henry came by to give me an estimate. Upon thinking about it, I asked him if he could do the work the very next day. He called his guys and they said "yes." Now that's service! Meanwhile, he pulled out a lot of different color chips and was exceptionally patient while I went through more than one set of chips to choose colors. Then he went out and bought the paint for me so I wouldn't have to bother. That impressed me. On the day of the job, he showed up with a team and tackled the job like a pro. After he left, everything was perfect and I couldn't find a single flaw in the job (you know how that is -- you can usually find a problem). I used some darker colors and they made sure to use enough coats of paint. I have a lot of nooks and crannies, and they covered it all. Plus, they cleaned up behind themselves so you wouldn't know they were ever there. I used him for internal and external paint jobs, btw. They were even on my roof working on a beam. Oh, and he calls back, answer messages, checks email (a rarity in this industry), and shows up on time -- maybe even a minute early. I recommend Henry and team highly. read more

They power washed the house, scraped and patched, applied primer and painted two coats. We found Henry through Yelp and all of his great reviews. We had a painter but he was charging a lot for the work we wanted so we took a chance and searched around. Henry provided professional service at the best cost and even suggested a zero VOC paint for the job especially for the baby's room to make it safer. We are having our first baby and he and his team did such a great job with the baby's room. It was tedious work doing the big stripes but they did a fabulous job, the lines can't be more straight! The other rooms look amazing and infact they had to repaint our master bc the color we chose came out a different color than expected but Henry just smiled and said no problem just pick another color and we will repaint.
