I'm always amazed for some reason how people are still employed and companies are still business even when they have the absolute worst service. I cancelled my service for a number of reasons and made an appt to drop off my equipment. I brought everything in but the wonderful employee who can't do his job, didn't scan everything in. So now I get emails saying if I don't bring the equipment in, I'll be charged. Of course you can't reach the store directly so you call their 800#. And of course the person on the other line is blaming me for not getting a receipt. Oh and they need 7 days to find the equipment and during that time I'll still be charged. I went in to upgrade my iPhone, and the sales rep told me it would take about 30 minutes to sync and transfer my data. Two hours later, nothing had been done -- it was clear he didn't really know what he was doing. Since I had to leave, I asked for a refund of the $95 in taxes I had already paid. Get here and there is an extensive line. Told to expect to stand in line 45 minutes. Very inefficient. They could improve by providing automated returns line. They gave 1 line for everything. Wondering why they do not overnight box and provide return box for non functioning equipment like Direct does. Very disappointing. Got home and the password for the new box is not valid. This rip off company deserves less than one star. I was on the phone for more than two hours trying to resolve a simple issue, no representative could help. Few of them told me that there was no supervisor they cannot transfer me to one. The others transferred me and put me on hold for more than 45 minutes and no nobody retrieved the call, I hanged up without my issue being resolved. I decided to cancel my service which was two days after the bill cycle, and was willing to pay for the service I used for the two days, they wanted me to pay the whole monthly subscription. I remember I went out of service for 4 days, they gave me only $10 credit, but they want me to pay the monthly amount for only two days service. This company is ripping people off. Stay away from this horrible company with the worst customer service and ripping people off. Since the Drew St. location closed, this one is the closest to my home. I recently decided to buy my own modem and save on the monthly charge for renting theirs. Hook up was easy and I returned my old modem to this location. The mall location was spotless and the counter employees were very friendly. I was dreading this chore but was pleasantly surprised. Spectrum allowed a third party to disconnect my cable, phone, and internet without even notifying me. Now, I am being charged because the equipment was not returned. I own the home and had the service at that location for over 20 years. When I tried to get service back, the supervisor told me the only way to get it back was to supply them with a deed. read more

Mom decided to switch from AT&T after 15 years of service to take advantage of family promotion plan. This was going to be complicated and require some time, patience and understanding from the person helping us, luckily that person was Morgan! Morgan knows what she's doing, she's a real professional. She's also kind and caring and that made all the difference. I'm sorry to say this is not the case with another lady who works there. In fact, if she was going to be the one helping us we were not even going to switch. Luckily we got Morgan and we can not recommend her enough. It's rare to find customer service people who are professional and caring at the same time and Morgan is just such a person. This is a review of Spectrum TV located in the mall. If I could give 0 stars I would. Tried to sign up for service and have had 3 confirmation calls but the technician never showed up! I called 4 times and was first told maybe the tech was stuck in traffic! Hello this is a technology company....wouldn't the driver have a cell phone and have called me or his dispatcher after being an hour late? Second call shows that my first call was never registered and third call I spoke to a nice young man in a big Square Midwestern State who said he would see what he could do but they were already booked for tomorrow . I realize this is a first world problem and I can probably live without cable but if I have to pay over $150 a month just to see television I would think they would treat me a little bit better. I will probably wind up doing what do all the younger people do, skip cable altogether and just use Netflix and Amazon Prime. When I mentioned to the young lady that it was not good customer service for her to be sitting inside the store while Spectrum customers are all standing outside waiting in line she said she was on her "break". Then she came out and asked if any one needed to take a seat and one elderly customer said "yes" she allowed him in to go sit. Called to start service. Specifically asked if we get 4 specific channels with streaming. Was promised we do. Also made sure to ask if you can add to the channels if necessary without cable, again promised we could. From the two weeks I called to start service has 6 different people come to my property saying they couldn't do anything. Spectrum charged me the entire time I never had service. I FINALLY get service and it's 25 channels for $90 and NONE of the channels I asked. Called up katelynn on spectrum telling me there's absolutely zero recourse about the complete lies of the previous customer service agent and that if I wanted what I asked the first woman/man/it/they I would have to rent a cable box and pay an extra $45 a month. Transfered my service on Sunday spoke with customer service rep that evening she stated my email account would be reactivated to new address within 72 hours. Called Wednesday morning "still working on it". Called Thursday morning " ticket was put in the wrong box" forwarding to the proper department with a "rush" on it. Called Thursday evening has been transfered to the right department email will be activated withing 24-48 hours! It has now been 5 day's with no email and I'm still waiting! I have been a client of Spectrum Internet for the last year now. When I started looking for an Internet provider the $29.99 advertised price is what caught my eye about Spectrum. I contacted them to connect to their internet service. I went through all the steps of providing all the required information etc. I was told that the first month was $44.99 which I assumed was for install cost etc. and the amount was not questioned by me. I agreed to do an auto-pay and then a month later I realized that I was still paying $44.99 when I was expecting to pay $29.99. I called Spectrum and I was told that the service was $29.99 when bundled with TV and Talk. I find this a very deceiving marketing campaign. Unfortunately it seems that there is no regulation of this ad campaign as it has been going on for a year already. Its now a year later after I signed up for the $29.99 Internet service which I paid $44.99 for per month. I have just received a letter from Spectrum to indicate that the price is now increasing to $70 per month. That is more than a 30% increase which is unacceptable. I called them to discuss this and I was indirectly told that if I don't like the price I could cancel the service. I was happy to renew another year at $44.99 per month however the retention team at Spectrum were not in the least interested in helping me with better pricing. I told them I would take a few days to consider the new price of $70 per month. I have had major issues with the quality of the connection, it does not stream live tv or movies properly and then there are also other issues like dropped connection. In the space of 1 year I had the Spectrum Service guys here to resolve issues 4 times and Spectrum can confirm this with my records. One of the service days I had planned to be home to be here for the repairs. The technician was scheduled to be here between 10-12pm. He arrived after 3pm so needless to say the service was pretty bad on that particular day. I decided to cancel the service with Spectrum and tried to call their retention's team once again to see if I could get a better price. No interest in helping me at all. I would like to ask Spectrum the following questions 1. Why is it that you constantly fill my mail box with your promotions? 2. Constantly get me to sign up for new services that I am not interested in? I would like to ask how is it that your marketing department works so hard to get new clients yet your price policies make it so easy for your retention staff to just say "Sorry there is nothing we can do to help you" It does not make sense. I have now signed up with Frontier Fios which will hopefully provide a better service. I did not want to end my subscription with Spectrum but I will not pay $70 or $60 when I can now get Fios for $49.99 including unlimited phone nationally. Living in an apartment I have only two choices for cable TV - Spectrum or Frontier. When I signed up with Spectrum, they offered me the option to purchase an Apple TV box which would provide access to Apple programming, at an additional fee over and above the equipment cost, and give me unlimited recording of content for later viewing. I am a loyal Apple consumer owning numerous items. The setup may be easy for a computer nerd, but not a computer savvy senior citizen. But any time there is a Spectrum system outage and you are trying to get everything up and going again it generally means a call into technical support. The second they find out you are using the Apple box they say its not their problem and you get transferred to Spectrum's Apple tech support. The Apple tech support will generally refer you back to Spectrum. Or, they suggest calling Apple! Neither tech support seems to be able or willing to help. This scenario has happened to me three times. Make sure you are on a first name basis with a computer technology service person if you go the route i did. read more

This reveie is for the Tarpon Springs location on US 19 plaza. Needed some new phones and after ordering 2 iphone 13s at a total of $2200 (tax included) they couldnt even figure out how to ring them up. So I was told that they put in a ticket to their tech dept and after waiting 3 days with no response, I cancelled the order, went home, did it online, and had my phones at my feont door in 2 days. The employee helping me was very nice and tried to help me, but CMON SPECTRUM, something like that should never ever happen. A customer trying to make a two thousand dollar purchase and your computer system wont allow it and a manager cant fix it on the spot? I also traveled to the NPR store on 54 to see if they had any phones and asked the guy"What phones do you have in stock?" He replied, "NONE, We are all out of every phone" What a joke read more

If I could give a zero for star ratings, I would. Stuck with this internet provider, and the customer service is lacking, to say the least. Intermittent service often, and they overcharge. They raise your bill annually, and give nothing in return for charging more. No prorated last bill - so they take your money for services even after you've cancelled. I have found many of the negative reviews on here somewhat funny. In the years I have had Spectrum I have always had positive experiences with them be it on the phone with regards to my account and charges they levy as well as technical support. I am not tech savvy and they take the time to walk me through whatever difficulty I am encountering. With regards to any billing issues they explained everything to me in detail and adjusted my account to reflect the proper charges and they even gave me a small goodwill credit to be applied to my next billing. They were all respectful, patient, knowledgeable and willing to assist. Of course I respond in kind to them in the same manner. Some are complaining that they increase your rates after one year. Well that is exactly what they advertise. Rates valid for one year. It is an introductory rate and after that period you pay the regular monthly rate.
