I was referred to this location by other medical professionals, Spectrum is part of Qualderm Partners. Spectrum just notified me of their leaking of my medical/personal information. Their fix is to make me aware and tell me to be vigilant for their failure by enrolling in something called 'cyberscout' and to give them my personal information. They not only got me scheduled within a week, but took care of me and I'm happy with the result.

Appointment wait time is somewhat long. When I got back to the room, I told the doctor what my concerns were. She suggested using a specific cream that required prescription. They said they ship it to me, but if that doesn't work someone will call me from their pharmacy. We scheduled for two months out. I provide this location with three stars since I never received my cream and never got a call. I believe I also have a charge to my account, which I find strange since I didn't get any treatment. read more

I've been seeing Darren West for the last 5-6 years for acne, and there are not enough good things I can say about him. He's truly the best of the best - really into understanding the science behind the conditions he treats and making sure you understand it too, great at advocating for his patients, and just overall a really easy going provider who will listen to you and work with you as a team to treat your skin. On the administrative side, since I'm on accutane at the moment I have to be seen once a month by the same provider who started me on accutane, but I'm a med student living in another city which makes this challenging. The front desk ladies have been unbelievably gracious and accommodating of not only my extremely packed and rigid schedule but my 1.5 hour+ commute to get there. I feel like I have a team of MAs and front desk people working to find times that work for me, and they even put a note in my chart that I have a tough schedule but I'm a fast visit so try and fit me in wherever possible. Sooo nice and so rare to find a medical office that will do this for you! I have been a victim of the long wait time here in the past but not so much at all in recent years. My only problem now is the fact that it's next to impossible to get ahold of a real human on the phone because of their really crappy AI call center. With the accutane I have lots of very specific logistical hoops I have to jump through so if I run into an issue outside the office I end up stuck in AI purgatory and am basically screwed (even with my MA's extension - the AI dude refuses to give me the option to enter it). Super annoying. Outside of that though my experience with Pinnacle Dermatology has been nothing short of excellent, and I really recommend Darren in particular!! read more

I needed a last minute emergency appt and the NP had an immediate appointment. The front desk was kind and efficient. I was seen rather quickly after I checked in and they were very busy. The NP was able to do a fast procedure to help me and my pain. Thank you all for excellent care and compassion. See you in July! read more

Dr is cold, has no empathy and was overall rude, condescending and not at all helpful. I walked out in tears. There are much better dermatologists in town. Go anywhere but here. I checked in early for a 1:10 appt with Mary Frausto. Then a gentleman's wife came after me and said they couldn't get through on the phone line and had a 1:20 appt with Mary Frausto. The receptionist told her that they were booked for 4pm. She insisted that her husband get the 1:20 appt when he wasn't even present. They let the gentleman with the foot issue go ahead of me and I had to wait 30 mins before they even acknowledged that I was still in the sitting room. Why they would take someone who didn't have an appointment until 4pm ahead of someone on time to their confirmed appointment is beyond me. I'm still in the waiting room and haven't heard anything from Mary Frausto's staff. read more

The worst medical experience I have ever had. The staff here was incredibly rude, demeaning, and argumentative. I felt as if I were bothering them from the second I walked in. The woman who was supposed to take me back walked out and yelled to the receptionist, "Is he ready???" She responded yes and the woman turned her back to me with the door open. I awkwardly stand up and walk toward her and without looking up she orders, "Room 2." After looking around, I find where room 2 is and lead myself there. We make it to the room and I'm not sure where to sit. She asks, "So you have psoriasis?" I respond that I don't know but I listed it on my appointment request because I wasn't sure what was going on with my skin and thought it could be it. She is immediately annoyed with me and snarkily asks, "Did Dr. Google tell you this or did you get an actual diagnosis?" I explain again that I don't know what's going on with my skin and that's why I was in today. I explained that was treated for scabies previously but it was a misdiagnosis. Again, bothered by everything I was saying, she snaps, "Psoriasis and scabies are two completely different things..." I had to again explain that I do not know what is going on with my skin and that's why I was there. I explained where I was having issues and she tossed a paper blanket at me as she was walking out of the room and said, "Use this to cover your lap. Take off your shoes and shirt too." I'm beyond uncomfortable but do as I was told. Without knocking, the same woman and the dermatologist come barging in. I'm undressed aside from my boxer briefs and a paper blanket. The dermatologist looks at the areas of concern on my arm before she rolls her eyes and tells me to stand up. I do and she looks closer at my arm before snapping at the other woman to start taking pictures of me. I did not give permission for this nor was I even asked. I continue showing more areas of concern and try to explain there are areas in my genital area that I was also concerned about. She immediately snaps, "Let me see it." Overwhelmed, I regrettably comply. She gets extremely close to me and scolds me for the way I was holding myself. She pulls back and I put my underwear back on. She begins interrogating me as I stand there in only my underwear. "What kind of soap do you use?" "I was using cerave but switched to the Costco brand to see if something else would make a difference." "Ok. You are telling me what you used to use. I asked you what you are currently using." "Like I said, I am using the Costco brand." She looks me up and down again after interrogating me some more and says, "I didn't know what it is. It could be psoriasis. Could be dermal sensitivity." She talks at me some more before condescendingly explaining the ointments she was prescribing. She tells me to come back in the month and then her and her partner leave the room without much else to say. I slowly grab my clothes and get out of that room as quickly as possible. I have never felt more humiliated, violated, and patronized before. Everyone in that office should be ashamed of themselves. People come to them seeking help and they treat them like they are gum on the bottom of their shoes. I will never go back to that place and hope others avoid it as well. read more

Expensive. Poor customer service. Not worth it. I made an appointment a month in advance (because that was the soonest I could get in) the person I talked to on the phone was very rude like they could care less why I was calling. I ended up canceling my appointment because of that interaction but when I go to cancel it I have to wait on the phone for 30 minutes!! The automated voice kept coming on the waiting line saying I was "4 minutes away from talking to a representative".... No that was not the case. I then finally get ahold of someone and the interaction was bare minimum. He greeted me and I told him I wanted to cancel an appointment I had. He did not ask me why I was cancelling nor did he seem to care he simply asked me for my birthdate and then told me it was cancelled and then hung up!! Moral of the story is if you want to waste your time and effort, then book an appointment here! read more

Not a fan of this place at all. Have been here a couple times. I feel for a first visit consolation it should be a little more on depth. Not just taking a quick headshot (which didn't even Happen with my husband). My daughter and husband have both been here with genuine skin concerns. Shouldn't there be like some more in depth looking up close or even analyzing the skin? This has never happened. On top of the poor patient attention the front desk ladies especially the lady with the "Queenie" tattoo across her chest, was super rude and didn't have a problem causing a small scene in front of the patients in the waiting room. Customer service was awful scheduling. And being that I asked to be transferred to manager and apparently got disconnected figured I'd make this quick and leave a review. Special shout out to Deja who said her name is like déjà vu. I was on the phone with her for quite a while asking me questions about my insurance. I've never been asked. It was a long unnecessary conversation. She must be new. I then told her I would call my insurance myself to see if it is covered. I repeated a few times keep my appointment. I will call back either way after I figure out if we are covered. lo and behold I called back to cancel. Deja who was so rude in the first place, took it upon herself to cancel it when I had asked her repeatedly to keep the appointment while I figure out what she couldn't. Hopefully her manager sees this and speaks to her about her lack of customer service, and listening. read more

TERRIBLE!!! I went here in the beginning of November to start the process of Accutane. Did all my pre-work that had to be done before I could begin taking it. I have been calling....and calling.... and calling trying to find out what the next steps are. Here we are in February and still NOTHING!! This place is truly awful. This was by far my worse visit with a doctor's office. It took them 4 months to book me. The front desk was very cold and no kind of customer service. The nurse assistant was very short and cold with me as well. To the point I mention to her, is anyone happy here? Everyone seems so cold. She ignored my comment and moved on with the questions. Then when I was seen by Holly Nichols, NP-C, she literally talked to me and saw me a total of 3 mins if that. She scan my body in less a min. I felt very rushed and like just a number. I was being seen by my pervious dermatologist for 2 years and things were frozen and removed and my appointments took a minimum of 30 mins when I went in. She told me that it doesn't seem like I have anything and prescribed me a tropical ointment. I do have things I know this as this is why before I relocated here my doctor told me to see a dermatologist. They people just don't seem to care or want to be here and I wonder if all their locations are like this as I know two things for sure. I don't want to see Holly again and I don't don't want to come to this location. I waited 4 months to be treated like a number and I feel as if I didn't matter. 1. Expect to spend 45 minutes on hold just to book an appointment or ask a simple question. 2. My provider, Holly, is nice, but always seems rushed. Appointments are sometimes 5 minutes or less. 3. After spending so much time on hold to book previous appointments, I decided to book online. When I arrived for my appointment, they did not have me on the schedule, and blamed it on their transition to a new system. No one apologized, and they flatly refused to fit me in. 4. The Scottsdale location cancelled two of my appointments for laser treatments because the lasers were not working. All in all, this is not a customer-friendly, well run operation. They seem to value their time and their processes, with little-to-no regard for the people who keep them employed. Guessing they don't treat the staff well, either, as many have attitudes ranging from bored to downright surly. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE!! Do not..... I repeat DO NOT use this clinic, save yourself time, money, and frustration. After charging $250 for doing nothing (literally stayed in the room 5 min if that) they say we should go to a PCP. They did not explain anything or attempt to understand our concerns. The appointments feel like they are trying to check off boxes in order to collect money and move on to the next patient. After reading the other reviews this appears to be a common practice for this clinic. On top of that PA Peterson is EXTREMELY RUDE and even walked out of the room while we were still asking questions; PA Peterson has 0 compassion and should be fired or given additional emotional intelligence training. read more

If I could give a negative star, I would. I would genuinely would like to know if you make commission off of converting patients to Humira? Because it was SHOVED down my throat today. I am 22 years old and today was my first visit at Spectrum, and I will never go back. 1. First off, to say this waiting room was packed is an underestimate. Every person in there had visits that started several minutes after what was scheduled. I waited 20-30 minutes from my scheduled time before I was seen. 2. My dr was Holly Nichols. It amazes me that doctors get as far as they do with ZERO bed side manner. And this was the case with Nichols. I went and she diagnosed me, after looking for .2 seconds at my bumps, with Hidradenitis suppurativa. Instead taking to me with like a human being... she raced through pamphlets and medical jargon that I did not understand whatsoever. She showed me gruesome photos of the extreme cases and straight up told me "if you don't take Humira this is what's going to happen" When I asked her what something meant she straight up told me "Go google it." 2. She does not know what she's doing. She told me HS is a mystery (which is only partially true) and no one knows anything about it. Literally. Me being shook and in the dark about all she just threw at me, I tried asking questions like, "so do you know at all what triggers it?" She outright said "Nope. The Medicine world doesn't really know"...... which is straight up horseshit, because I went home and did some research and found SEVERAL sources that say it's triggered by weight gain, stress, sweat, tight clothes, dairy, and sugar. NOT ONCE DID SHE TELL ME THIS. 3. As a 22 year old, being told you need to take injections for this disease the rest of your life "until you have kids" is SCARY. When she told me that I needed to be put on Humira for the rest of my life... I wanted to cry. Worried... I asked "and this is the only way? There's nothing else we can do?" She outright told me no! It was almost as if she was selling the damn product. That there's nothing else to do if I want to get better. Again. BS!!! After going home and doing my research, I learned that there are so many more options than injections!! There's oral medication, topical antibiotics, and washes! How awful for her to not even talk to me about other possibilities!!! 4. Isn't there a protocol on touching your patients when not examining you? While sitting next to me telling me all about this new found diagnosis and Humira she praised, she kept putting her hand on my leg and rubbing and patting it!!! It took everything in me to not tell her to get your fucking hand off of me. 5. Not once was she nice to me. She was cold and stern and had no care in the world about making me feel okay and comfortable. She was rude and snarky. Thee worst doctor I have ever seen. I left bawling my eyes out from how she treated me and how she handles the visit. Some of the things she said were unprofessionally, overwhelming, and pure shit. read more

This is the most amazing office. The entire staff from front office to assistants are amazing and Dr McLeish is so awesome!! I'd recommend the office to everyone. I took my special needs friend to this office to have skin cancer removed from his nose & ear, I've never seen such a caring staff. I myself want to thank everyone for being so amazing. read more

I will start by saying that we were 15 minutes late so I take responsibility for that portion. My maps took me through a construction area then the exit to the expressway was closed so I had to take the back way. However, I called to explain this when I figured out about 20 minutes before the appointment was supposed to start. I was told as long as I made it 15 minutes after the appt. start, they would take us so I kept driving. Well, this was not the case. They told me I had to reschedule as my daughter was next to me crying because she had waited weeks for this appointment. Not only that, they were completely rude. The office looked trashy anyways, so I guess blessing in disguise. Just made an appointment with another dermatologist and the experience was night and day. Be forewarned this companies practice is to not see you until all previous balance is paid my husband had/has cancer on the nose they did a Moh's procedure. It is still an issue. He made an appointment for this to be looked at and once he got there they told him he had to pay the full back balance. We are not able to pay the full balance and he offered to pay half and they would not accept that. Demanding money at the threat of recurrent cancer is extortion. I have never dealt with a worst company in my life. I specifically checked with them before setting up my appointment to be sure they were in my network. I was told yes!! They even had me in their system from my last visit. I was outright LIED TO! This place has the name Spectrum all over the building, inside and out. Then I am told their name is really Pinnacle!!! Their computer systems are an absolute mess!! Everyone has to refill their information and STILL NOBODY KNOWS where this information is going!! The phone number you are given for Billing sends you overseas to someone that barely speaks/understands english and after calling the number twice and on the phone for 2 hours with my insurance company, they tell you they don't have any of your records and they can't help you!! Don't even waste your time trying to call the place directly, the girls up front don't even answer the phones. I saw that in person when I was there. This is absolutely unacceptable behavior for a professional business. I am in the process of having the BBB look into this. Me and my boyfriend called to try and schedule an appointment. We both been here years ago and dealt with rude receptionist with no help to us. We decided no longer to come here. After doing some thinking we thought to give another chance here due to them so close to us. We spoke with Karen the receptionist and we confirmed everything name , number, address etc. We then inform her of the insurance card is not with us at the moment but more than happy to call back later with the information later today or tomorrow but we would like to save our appt date and time. Karen proceeds to say she can NOT schedule an appt until they have the insurance card right there and then and will need to call back later when we have it. I have never had a problem saving an appt and giving the insurance card prior to an appt or even the day of. Very rude and was not at all helpful. read more

Fortunately for no zero star option for this office as would like to give no stars. Most dis functional doctors office i have visited in my life. After scanning and taking insurance information they still couldn't get insurance to pay due to incorrect information. I saw nurse practitioner and was asked to pay $400. She spend less than 2 minutes and you can tell that she was very irritated. Long story short, called my insurance company and asked doctors office to resubmit claim with correct insurance info and it went through. Stay away from them unless it is the last dermatologist left on planet earth!! read more

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!!!! I went into Spectrum today for my first time and my expectations were exceeded when I met Holly!!! She is absolutely amazing!!!! I have never once met any Doctor that cared as much as she did!!! After she left the room I couldn't help but to tear up because it had felt so good to find a doctor that truly cares and actually wants to find the problem!! She just made me feel so good! She's a breath of fresh air!! I definitely recommend her! read more

Not Impressed the doctor was very nice the office was extremely clean but I felt like I was rushed in and rushed out she glanced at my body and said she was done all for my co-pay a $45 wouldn't recommend this location. I came here to help overcome my struggle with Psoriasis for several years. The atmosphere made me feel doubtful, but despite how unwelcoming it looked I was still optimistic due to the popular ratings. Tons of people were in and out constantly. It felt very similar to being at a DMV office. I felt very rushed when explaining my issues and concerns. After 5 minutes of them looking at my skin, I was told to take a questionnaire to see if I had Psoriatic arthritis and never saw anyone after filling out the form. I sat there patiently waiting for someone for 20 minutes while a sales guy came in to talk to the doctor about new things they should buy. After sitting around for awhile I eventually assumed I should just leave. Not a single goodbye, nothing. They couldn't give me a definite answer on my skin issue, so they took a swatch of my skin for a biopsy and told me they'd call in a few days when they had the results. I never received one phone call. My local pharmacy received an order for a steroid prescribed a few days later, but not even a voicemail was left on my phone or an email explaining what it would do exactly, or how often I should apply the topical treatment. I'm not sure why this place has so many good reviews personally. After that first visit, it left a bad taste in my mouth and I never came back. It felt like I was just another number here. I didn't feel like they cared at all, and I felt like they didn't deserve my $100 for the quality of their service. When I went to another dermatologist my experience was COMPLETELY different. They listened, explained, and discussed all my treatment options. They knew right away from my flaky skin it was Psoriasis, and didn't leave me guessing. They also were considerate of my wallet, and the total for my prescription & visit ended up being half the price. This place is definitely overhyped. Who in the medical profession thinks it is appropriate to say to a first time patient 8 year old child " we are going to have to freeze them off and it is going to hurt"? Shame on them!!! We can go elsewhere, where people show empathy to children and adults and actually have a heart as well as a professional attitude.
