I was like wow! asked questions..then he gave me the best offer and for staying ..I can have this amazing 7G Internet for $41.99. No catch.. "the best offers are when you go in person" ofcourse, i had to get Mobile service ..but who cares..I dont have to purchase a phone .. so I run home..installed the 7G..and ...and ... its the slowest internet ever..horrible for gaming.. what Wifi i have ever experienced.. ive called many times ..theyve send their "Certified Expert Technicians" to not do anything..but i love the $41.99.. just not sure if its worth it.. read more

Consistency in customer service would be ideal. First time I visited it was a hit...guy (friendly) directed my father and I to Justin who was beyond helpful and professional! About a week later I returned and the employees were somber; my service representative was dry and unhelpful. I went in to exchange a modem and router and replace them with new ones. As we replaced them at home...we could not figure out why something was out of sort. We contacted Spectrum to have a technician come out. Turns out...we were given the same type of router or an old one instead of the new model that I initially needed. Gotta cross your fingers when visiting this location...it's a hit-or-miss! read more

I took my cousin Bettie to this location because she was switching her mobile service from T-Mobile to Spectrum and was having a lot of difficulty getting everything switched over when she was talking to the Spectrum customer service on the phone. I want to mention that she is 81 years old and in a wheelchair. Alex was the representative that helped her, and he is the absolute best. He got her switched over from T-Mobile to Spectrum on her cell phone and helped her find the best deal available. She had to go back in a few times to complete everything, and Alex was so incredibly patient and helpful with her. For anything she needs in the future, we will go to this location and specifically request Alex. He is so helpful, patient, friendly and knowledgeable. Could not recommend him more! read more

This location has some of the worst customer service representative I have ever dealt with. The employee are your typical Latinos Sales Reps. trying to make a few bucks off of you. No customer skills, unbothered by your issues and you are never right. If you have an issue - they say call corporate. Fahhh I will never in my life step foot in Downey Spectrum Store. Richie was extremely knowledgeable and provided exceptional customer service. As a returning customer, I truly appreciated the time and care he took to assist me. He set me up with the equipment I needed for internet service, thoroughly explained the process, and answered all my questions. Richie encouraged me to reach out if I ran into any problems getting set up and I'm glad I did. Remarkably, a technician arrived within about 30 minutes and discovered the previous provider had cut the lines, so he reran the cables from the pole. Been a customer for over 6 years. Always appreciated the service that has been provided. Carlos and Ivan are typically the two who I tend to go to for help. Reps are very informative and helpful. I seen Carlos go above and beyond for any customer ensuring that they get the best deals that accommodate their needs and wants. Not too sure what the other bad reviews are referring to (Dora), but if you don't know cell service just say that. I've seen customers always greeting Carlos by name and handshake appreciating his service. I worked in the customer service industry for years and all I can say is the customer is NOT always right. I came in to pick up my equipment and had an issue because the system said it was being delivered. I called customer care and the employer justin was telling another employer named Alex not to help me. So when it was my turn to be called up everyone refused to help me while I was on the line with customer service. Walked in and my man Leo greeted me right away and showed me to his work space/makeshift counter and said he was sorry I was canceling. He actually seemed like a really nice guy and seemed to care both about his job and the customers. Unfortunately it was just too late for me as I had canceled services about a month ago due to constant internet connection drops and high $$$$$ bills. That just goes to show for actual spectrum having such a long-standing monopoly in this area with their overall crappy Internet service snd overpriced cable was paying about $215 a month for basic cable and Internet. This spectrum sucks. I went with my family to upgrade our phones. Talia was helping us. We told her that we were going to give our phones as trade-ins. Because it was getting close to the end of her shift, she was trying to hurry us up and giving us bad customer service. I could tell she just wanted to get out of there. She then hands us off to Arlen and "doesn't say we are trading on our phones." Because Arlen "didn't know" and Talia didn't tell him, we went through the whole process without the trade-ins. At the end I was getting ready to turn in my phone and Arlen says he didn't do the phone trade ins because Talia didn't tell him. Even though we had already spoken about trading the phones in. After being there for 2 hours, they tell us to go back in the next day so the manager can help us. We go back Saturday and after more waiting around they say they have to return the phones in and wait another 24 hours to repurchase the new phones with our trade-ins. So they tell us to come back Sunday and that the manager does not need to be there to do the transaction again. So, then we go back Sunday morning and now we are told we need to still wait 24 hours (Even though 24 hours have passed) and that the manager needs to do it. Which we were told he didn't need to!!!! In total, we have gone 3 days to do this and to fix the mistake. All because Talia wanted to go home early and gave horrible customer service. They even wanted to charge us a restocking fee to return the phones, even though it was their mistake. This spectrum sucks!! Every single employee tells you different information and never seem like they want to be there. If you hate your job, please get another one. I fully went in hoping to upgrade my phone and continue giving spectrum my service because I've never had issues before but having this experience makes me want to take my business elsewhere. Please, don't waste your time here. In the 3 days that I was there, all I witnessed was terrible customer service while making me (and my baby) wait so long for nothing. read more

Both my mother and I walked out with new phones and I was happy to add my mother's phone to my plan. By bundling my internet and an additional line, it afforded me a payment plan better suited to my needs and budget. I couldn't have figured this out without Jesse's help! A couple weeks back I went to the Spectrum and I had to return some old equipment. I had never been to this location and was a few miles from my usual hangs off the beaten path, but this one is a convenient shopping centre. It had popped up as the 2nd closest location to me, but was more freeway convenient than the other location so I chose this one. (Notes: there used to be more Charter/TWC/Spectrum locations but they closed some of the smaller ones but the new ones are much bigger and better, and all are called Spectrums. Just be sure to check their website for the current locations before you go). Anyway went inside the Spectrum and checked in at the machine. I needed to return some old eq. Put my name in the machine and it spit up my name up onto the list. People with an appy (appointment) seemed to get a priority but if you don't have an appy you still get seen relatively quick. Waited about 10-12 minutes and watched my name pop up higher and higher on the screen like magic. Meanwhile I browsed all the cool offerings in their store, like all the different mobiles and such. Soon after, my name was called and I popped over to the station. I told the lady yo, I got this here old equipment. She said let me look you up and there were two accounts so she picked the right one, scanned my old junk and then took it back to be taken in and gave me a receipt as highly convenient proof of my transaction. I liked the layout and all the offerings at this Spectrum. I go here for all my Spectrums needs. Looking forward to them adding more locations of Spectrums near me in the near future soon. TERRIBLE, AWFUL customer service on the phone and in the store. Cancelled a line at least 2 years ago. They never cancelled it. Called about six months ago to find out why my bill was higher. Lady on the phone told me all of my devices were paid for. She went over my lines, never mentioned the one I disconnected (or so I thought was disconnected). I took off all insurance plans on devices to lower my monthly bill. Still, no significant changes. Not only that. I was never given the discount rate for having multiple lines. The reps are USELESS both in the store and over the phone. I will be switching to Verizon or AT&T as soon as I have the budget to pay activation fees and for a new phone. went here yesterday to get a new plug in cable cord for the router the lady with blonde hair who checks you in was a liar telling me I had to bring in the router as well since they couldn't just give me a new cord for it and so I had to finish my homework for class at a cafe with internet since it was due that night and the next day I went to another spectrum store with everything and the guy who helped me there said I didn't have to bring in the router just the cord which he happily exchanged for me so yeah never going back to this store rude employee and super unhelpful. read more

This review is for the store and for the phone customer service. The thing I like about this company is they have stores where if we have a problem or need to upgrade equipment, we can just go to a store and see if we can switch our current equipment. Which has helped me out in the past when my Wi-Fi has been horrible and with the switch of the equipment has helped my Wi-Fi work like brand new. As soon as you walk in to this store, you just sign into the computer in the front or towards the back and wait until your name is called. No hassle with the switching of new equipment even if it's the same equipment. Now for the phone customer service, called twice, the first time will have to say was no help whatsoever. Called because my laptop wouldn't connect to the Wi-Fi but every other device was working fine connecting to the Wi-Fi, also the screen mirroring from my phone to tv's wasn't working either but it was working from my phone to laptop which was weird. The representative stated that since the laptop and phone could screen mirror that the laptop must have an issue with connecting to the Wi-Fi and I had to call apple for support since it was a Mac and since my tv's were connected to the Wi-Fi but wouldn't work with the screen mirroring that it must've been something wrong with my tv's and had to contact Samsung for that issue. It was quite annoying that he would claim that everything was wrong with my devices but nothing was wrong with the spectrum Wi-Fi and equipment. After we hung up I decided to go to the spectrum store and see if they can give me new equipment since I recently upgraded my Wi-Fi to the 1 gig, which at the time the representative that helped me with the upgrade stated that my (old) equipment would work fine with the new upgrade. Sometimes these representatives have no clue what they are talking about or aren't knowledgeable and just start guessing. I'm glad I decided to do the switch because that helped my Wi-Fi with all the issues I had. Was having some trouble setting up the new equipment but made another call to spectrum customer service and was kinda anxious that I would get the same representative from earlier. Luckily I didn't get the same one and got the equipment setup with no problem whatsoever. So I decided to take off two stars because of the mistakes that the phone customer service representative's made. What a nightmare of a place. You walk in and it's clean and smells good but that's all you get. You have a woman who I later learn is the manager checking people in while on her phone texting her life away. No real customer service at all. I had a major issue with the support, service and resolution with this place. I ask for the managers help and she sprints away mumbling something. I tell her to turn around and acknowledge me and she tells me she has something more important to do. I take a photo of her to share with corporate and she tells me it's against the law and store policy to not take phones. Service is horrible and leadership don't know anything about the law or office policies. Do t come here, it's a nightmare. read more
