Matthew the store manager was super helpful! I had ordered service through the phone with customer service and the phone call went well until I received an email listing the billings and I was going to be charged $130+ for cable, mobile line, and internet when I only wanted internet. I'm moving out for college and just need some affordable internet since I qualify for ACP and the lady over the phone was really trying to sell the company to me and me not being careful I consented to whatever she was charging me since the call was already about 40 minutes long. Nonetheless, I came into the store today and it seems this happens quite often and Matthew understood and was able to drop the charges I never asked for and explained everything to me in detail with a smile so I really knew what I was paying for. We both acknowledged the reason why the lady over the phone was trying to get me switch mobile carriers as I'm paying more with Verizon, but I want to stay with them and Matthew respected that fact with no issue or hard feelings. I'm a store manager myself and we deal with situations very similar to this when the customer service line leaves the customer unsatisfied, so one to another, thank you so much and you are an epitome of what customer service should look like! read more

Walked in and signed in and waited 30 minutes to find out I have to call to cancel my service. Which took 30 minutes on hold and the sales person trying to sell me other services. When I came back into the store I had to sign in again and wait 30 more minutes. This took over 90 minutes to close the account and drop of there gear. Very pissed off right now!!!! read more

Horrible customer service! Employees having lengthy conversations with customers about personal stuff. Then between customers they are watching the soccer match on tv and discussing it. 5 employees and all 5 casually meandering about like there isn't a full waiting area. I recently signed up with Spectrum Mobile. I was told that I would have unlimited 5G during the day and everything with a plan that I have. I've been to work since 7:30 this morning and my phone status has been LTE no 5G I can't log into work through my phone or do anything Do not go to Spectrum Mobile because their service is shitty!! Best experience switching providers: I walked in today at this location with the family. Irving went above and beyond to help us out when we switched to Spectrum Mobile. He is very knowledgeable, polite and professional. Switching providers can be a pain and sometimes can take a long time. Irving made the entire process smooth, I had trouble getting my info from the T-Mobile app at first, he helped us out get all of the info, he explained how everything worked and once the store closed at 8 he made sure our devices worked accordingly. I highly recommend Irving, if you ever need to purchase service, devices or simply bring your own device and switch it to Spectrum he is the pro to look for. This location is terrible! I went last week to cancel my services and return my equipment. I waited in line outside in the extreme heat (no shade provided) for about 45 minutes until I was allowed inside where I had to sign in so that I could wait AGAIN! When I finally made it inside there was ONE person working. ONE person! Apparently they sent all the other employees to lunch at the same time even though they had a line of about 15 people waiting. That is TERRIBLE customer service. Finally the other employees came back to work and started helping customers, but I watched as one of the gals checked her personal cell phone in between customers and then helped a guy who had been waiting in line 3 people behind me, simply because he complained about the wait. That's just rude to all of the rest of us waiting. Finally it was my turn and this same gal calls me up. I clearly tell her I need to cancel services and return equipment. She confirms I haven't cancelled over the phone and says she will take care of it. One week later and I received a bill for service. Now i have sat on hold via the phone to cancel service again. I only left one star, because I was not allowed to leave 0 stars. I am so disappointed that after I cancelled my service they are charging me 93 dollars as a balance. I have no clue what's wrong with the manager here maybe having a bad day or can't take the stress of the customers ... I have never been in a spectrum location. I was talked to super blunt and rudely because I didn't know I had to check in on the iPad ... after that confusion every customer was greeted with "welcome , check in on the iPad and we will be right with you" ... yes that's what should of been said to me too but I guess because of how I look I was treated differently,I will just reach out to corporate about it . Really great service by Jesse was literally in and out, had to drop off an old modem, also had to swap out my serviced modem since it was no longer working. All I wanted to do was pick up my internet modem. I needed it sooner than later so I decided not to wait for it to be mailed. I came to this spectrum store and encountered Martin. Unfortunately, despite a long trip for my "appointment" and waiting a long time, Martin denied me my equipment: First of all, there is no direct phone number to this or any spectrum store. I tried to call to make sure I have all the information I need before going there, because it is far from where I live, but there was no way. You can only "make an appointment" online. I arrived at the store and signed in. It was 20 minutes after my appointment and they still didn't call me. I go up to a man named Martin. He tells me to "stand behind the line". Then he says that the reason I wasn't called was because my name didn't pop up on their system. Imagine if I waited longer.... He then rudely says I need to have my old equipment before I pick up the new modem. He also says I cannot pick up the equipment because I am not "an authorized user." I know both of these things are not true because I have done both with spectrum at other stores before in the past. I would pick up and drop off equipment for my relative, the authorized user, many times in the past because she has trouble driving and traveling. I told him I tried to call to have all of this information before making a big trip, but he says the store does not have a phone number. He gives me a number to be added as an authorized user- 855-707-7328. This number, just like 866-874-2389 (the store's number), all lead to same roundabout Spectrum automated messaging system. This man was very rude and turned me away despite a long trip with an "appointment". He did not even try to help. Martin, like many employees during COVID, are using the fact that it is tough to find employees during the pandemic. I hope that spectrum changes its ways and makes information more accessible to its customers. And I hope people like Martin can be replaced when our economy finally turns around. read more

100% Terrible. There was a young lady that was hosting/greeting/helping guests get checked in. They don't wear name tags consistently here so I don't know her name, but she was very nice and helpful. I was helped at a desk by "Jonathan" (I had to ask someone else for his name. Again, no name tag.) Jonathan has to be the most unfriendly person that I have ever dealt with at any Spectrum location. I don' know if he dislikes his job or has personal problems, but he was absolutely horrible to work with. I got no greeting or thank you. My transaction completed in silence. When I asked if I could ask him another question he said "It depends what it is". Seriously?! That's a stupid response to a customer. I came in to return broken equipment and my interaction with Jonathan actually has me considering cancelling my entire Spectrum account. This Spectrum location needs to do a better job at hiring people that can tolerate being in front facing customer areas. Tip to Downey location: Jonathan behaves like he hates customers. Side Note: I CANNOT STAND the way employees SLAM returned equipment into those brown cabinets when equipment is returned. Either wait until the returner walks away or don't use the slam method in front of their faces. It's very aggressive and only adds emphasis to the bad employee behavior. Came in to return a DVR for my Dad who does not have the time to come in himself and Steve declined to take receiver stating that my Dad had to come in cause he was on the account. My Dad had already spoken to CS on the phone and everything was set, they TOLD HIM I COULD BRING THE BOX as all changes on account had already been authorized, but Steve had a problem with that. Horrible customer service!! My husband and I walked in and nobody greeted us, there was 5 guys standing around behind the cash registers talking and wasting time. A couple of minutes after they started calling names and we were standing in line so we asked if we had to sign in and one of the guys told us, yeah sign in in a rude manner. My husband was irritated because the way they spoke to us and he told them if you would greet customers and tell them to sign in then people would know. The sign in the front of the store is very small and when we walked in there was a person standing in front of it and therefore we did not see it. Spectrum has good internet and tv services but way too much money for what they are giving you.

I had some issues with my home router and called to see what my options were. I was advised to go in to the local Spectrum store for an equipment exchange. So I went to the one in Downey Promenade. This is where I recieved true customer service from Kelly. She not only fixed my problem, I was upgraded to a newer router and modem. The entire customer experience was outstanding. I would only hope Spectrum use Kelly as a new hire trainer to pass along her outstanding customer service skills.
