I had stopped my service with spectrum and i returned all equipment on June 16th I received a bill for over $200 which was a month service bill I called to clarify this charge since i was not using them. This location is always too busy. This review is about SHANTEL WELLS. After helping me for over an Hour I asked for her manager so I could give a commendation for her hardwork, he didn't want to fill one out and said to go to YELP. I was quoted for a package I agreed on, only to find out this is a 1 year introductory price, which the sales associate didn't mention. I had to return some equipment they told me I could drop it off at the spectrum office they already costume million dollars and now I have to wait on my lunch hour so that I can give them back equipment that they told me I have to drop off their customer service sucks.. they charge you so much money for their service yet they give you nothing.. except waste everybody's time. After 20 years of Internet Service, I have finally had enough of Spectrum Internet. For the first 15 years my billing never changed at $39.99/mo. My wife and I then moved into a condo and only required email, web browsing, and an occasional stream. At that time, I upgraded to turbo for $10 more, but speeds only slightly increased from 40mbps to 60mbps and I thought that was still okay for $49.99. Fast forward to last year and I opted for autopay...big mistake! That is when the problems began. Several months later, I noticed my billing had changed to $74.99 with no authorization and a drop in speed to 40mbps! After an hour on the phone with customer service, the rep said all she could do was lower it to $59.99 and no refund for the months I already paid. When asking about the speed, she told me it was probably too much usage in the area and unfortunately that was the lowest price she could offer. I was unhappy, but Spectrum was the only provider at our building during that time. I promptly reverted back to paper billing; however, last month my bill increased to $74.99 again! I looked at the speeds and it was still a depressing 40mbps. After over an hour speaking with customer service and being forwarded to management, the guy said, "It's been a year since we gave you a discount, so no more. That is our standard price. And nope, as I said before, we already gave you a discount last year, so there is nothing else I can do." All I could think about was his condescending attitude and demeaning tone of voice toward a 20-year loyal customer. I told him that I would be cancelling service with Spectrum for good. I looked up Internet providers in my area and found T-Mobile 5G Home Internet for $50, no contract, no service fees, no hookup fees, and no technician scheduling to poke holes in the wall with additional hidden fees. Since I already had service with them for my cell phones, I thought I'd give it a shot. One unit router/WiFi was sent via FedEx two-day shipping and I was even given a $50 promotion to use for the first month. I have over ten devices (including two hard-wired PC's) hooked up to this single unit and didn't have to purchase anything. Setup was a breeze with a simple (free) app download. After reading all the reviews on the Spectrum service center at Ala Moana Center, I was super worried! All we needed was to exchange a bad cable box! Actually, this cable box had been giving us trouble for a while but we just lived with it because we didn't want to deal with the hassle of exchanging it! But, we finally had to yesterday as the cable box was just too much! So, we were determined to go to the service center. Thank goodness I read the reviews first where other Yelpers said to absolutely make a reservation! For us, this was the key to our great experience! Scored a same day reservation for 4pm. Arrived around 3:40pm and was immediately greeted at the sign-in area! Very friendly, took our info, and then asked us to take a seat. All the service counters were full with other customers and we noticed, at least, 3 other groups waiting inside (there might have been another customer waiting outside). Sat for less than 5min and was called! Unfortunately, clearly, all the other groups didn't make a reservation! Friendly staff asked for ID then took our old cable box and gave us a brand new (sealed) cable box package plus a Spectrum shopping bag to carry it in! We brought our own bag but didn't need it after all! Overall, our service center experience was 5-stars! Again, the key is to make a reservation! However, overall for Spectrum, we would say only 2.5-3 stars as it is very expensive and keeps going up! read more

I went in to get the devices for my internet. I was told that they were out of stock of the routers and told me to go to another location. I asked if they were able to check what location has it available and they told me no I can't check for you you just need to go to the locations and check. This place is worse than the DMV. Actually the DMV is more organized about serving you. At least when you make an online appointment they call you by your name on the appointed time. But this place is highly unorganized you can't see your name because the screen is too high and small and some of the workers are grumpy and mean. And when they call your name it ain't loud or coherent. Why don't they use numbers instead? I can hear the #1, instead of someone mumbling my name. And if someone is in line before you they might get called before you. So what's the point of making an online reservation?? Made an appointment online the night before at 9:00am. Arrived at 8:50 am and already a line outside. This is the Ala Moana location. Thought the Pearl Highlands location would be better. But it's the same. It's like half people they hire are good and other half just not good. So at Pearl Highlands location I walk in when they open and there's a girl helping a customer. She seems very friendly and informational, as I hear her discuss options with the customer. But do I get her??? Oh no I get a guy who is less than happy to help me. And get's irritated at my questions about cancelling my cable. Especially when I ask about the different price packages. This was the worst experience of any service counter. This evening had only two employees working and think combining wireless and cable services was a bd idea. Their set up is great, where you either check in at the tablet as you enter it make an appointment online before you go down to the shop (recommended). They have a screen showing all the names of the people in line, which may or may not be helpful. If you're impatient, you will see when they ask if there are anyone who are there to make a payment, who just arrived, move to the front of the line while you've been already waIting for over an hour. We arrive about 15 minutes before our appointment we made online and waited in a line about a dozen people long. I had to wait in line again to exchange the cable box. When that one didn't work either, it raised our suspicions. It turned out that the worker did not program our new box into the system!! Since I can't fit all in one, I have to break it into two... Par 1: By far the worst customer service I had ever experienced! I came in as an existent customer with the purpose of purchasing a new phone due to my phone being water damaged. The sales person, Karl mentioned he needed to set me up a dummy number and that my actual number would transfer over within 24 hours, and also because Spectrum now has a new system. It would require this long in able for him to set me up a new phone with the new billing amount. I returned the very next day because I noticed my number didn't transfer over and I needed to clarify exactly how long it would take because I was no longer receiving the calls from my actual number. Prior to this visit, I had already contacted the customer service and had been transferred 4 different times because no one could seem to know how Karl activated my account. What the representative mentioned to me was to return back to Karl since he seems to be the only one to know exactly what he did and also to confirm I'm not getting billed for two accounts, one for the dummy number and my actual number. Mind you, I was on the phone with 4 customer representatives for over 1.5 hrs not knowing what was going on with my account. So, I get there after work and I was immediately greeted and asked what I was there for. I mentioned I was just there a day ago and looked at Karl and mentioned I needed to see him. The man who greeted me went up to Karl and returned to me and said Karl would be assisting me shortly after he was done with his customer. Now, I was already frustrated considering how many hours I've already spent at the store prior and the hours I spent with 4 different customer reps, and I had to return straight after work! What frustrated me more was seeing how Karl kept taking more customers knowing he already mentioned I would be next. He didn't even acknowledge that I was waiting or kindly mentioned that he would be with me in a few minutes or so! I had to get up and approach the man who greeted me and reminded him that I was still waiting. He apologized and said that he would let Karl know again. So, as I'm going over what he told me on the day he activated my new phone, he kept sharing how the customer representatives had no idea what they were doing and that out of all the people working there, he was the one with the most experience of 3 years. He pointed out that everything he did to my phone was noted in the system and even provided me with an ID# and ticket number so that if I made a call to follow up on the status of my number getting transferred, it would be easier for the rep to pull up my info with the ticket number he provided. He reminded me that it would take 24-48 hours for my number to transfer over & he supposedly also noted to make mine a priority to speed up the process. read more

Spectrum is the worst service provider ever. I was sold a bill of goods and just trying to get my business hooked up was a nightmare, a total nightmare. When I closed my business 6 months later and wanted to keep the business phone number it was transferred to a cell phone and was all balled up. Honestly it took me three days of one hour phone calls to get this unraveled (I am not using my very rude words to describe how horrid this experience was, but know that I am thinking them). It just cost me $600 to get Spectrum out of my life, to pay off devices, all the device deals they get you with go away, they always have some bailout clause. Elon Musk has over 200 satellites in the air right now, once they have around 300+ internet providers like spectrum who don't care about their customers are going to be toast!!! Spectrum Pearl HIghlands: One of the worst if not the worst stores I've been in. I was about 17th in line, yes that's correct 17. I think about 5 or 6 people left before their turn came as when the staff called them, nobody answered. One person came back, but missed their turn. 3 of us were joking that perhaps we should leave, have lunch and come back. I waited for over 40 minutes to be serviced! If those other people hadn't left, would probably have been easily over an hour. Another customer out of the blue said to me that this was the worst store she had even been in. I didn't understand at that moment. While I was waiting, someone came in speaking on her cell phone using speakerphone which I consider to be very rude in a public setting, especially one that is enclosed such as in a small store. I asked one of the staff if they could politely ask this rude individual to either take the call off speaker or perhaps go outside to continue the conversation. Let it be known that I could clearly hear the conversation. I tried to move farther away, but since the store is not that large that didn't help. Anyway, the staff was sarcastic. He said that it wasn't bothering anyone. I told him it was bothering me and that it was rude. He said he had no control over what is going on in the lobby. Really?!! So I could walk in yelling, screaming, holding signs and he would have no control over that. What BS!! He told me I could go outside. Excuse me! I'm not the one being rude. Anyway, I left this "idiot." Sorry, but maybe not... After waiting a bit longer, but not too long as more people had left I was called by Eathan, the interim manager. Joke: he shouldn't be a manager + he talks too much. If you have 19 people waiting, yes more came in while I was waiting you should build a relationship with the customer but, do it in such a way that it is sincere, but still efficient. I believe Eathan is either ignorant, didn't care, or just doesn't know how. Anyway, after determining that Eathan was the interim manager, I decided to get his opinion regarding someone using the speakerphone in the lobby. Eathan pretty much echoed what the 1st representative told me including my going outside and not being able to talk to the customer. Being in management myself where I turned one of the worst service departments around into one of the best, these two are highly lacking in customer relations skills. Eathan especially should go to management training, by the way which I've been to. Eathan also made an off the wall statement which didn't make any sense. He stated that I was talking to someone on the phone while he was TRYING to help me. Huh, what does that have to do with someone talking on the speakerphone. When I spoke with someone at Spectrum Corporate, that individual (Jeff) understood that the comment was nonsensical and Jeff agreed that both store associates behaved poorly. spectrum is the worst internet service provider ever, and cable is even worse. First off they quote u a low prices only to double it every time u have a bill come in. second, the speed they offer are never true or work. then they always wanna come up with excuses like you have an out dated router (but they just brought me the router weeks ago) or they'll say something lIke I'm sorry your service was still connected to your last residence, claiming that they didn't switch it over. we've moved 3 times and they used this excuse 3 times, the router excuse they use lit every couple of months. When u wanna call them. google spectrum they give u 5 different customer service numbers to call in which none of them get u to someone to speak with, especially if the number associated with your account is not yours, but an ex's than they make it Impossible to update or change anything, BUT THEYLL LET U MAKE A PAYMENT WITH ANY DEBIT CARD ON EARTH, But can't change my account preferences or settings. f*** spectrum read more
