Terrible internet and phone service, with constant buffering, un explained outages and would kick devices off the network unprompted. It is not over priced in the grand scheme of things but insanely overpriced for the product that you receive. I brought up frustrations multiple times with customer service agents and was never offered any solutions until I called to cancel. I would never recommend. read more

What terribly customer service. My mother passed away during the Covid-19 travel restrictions. When I was able to get back to her house, I turned in her equipment and turned the service off. In checking my mother's account, they are still charging her a monthly service. Apparently, they are month to month and would not prorate. Even for a death? The person actually asked why I hadn't contacted them sooner. Really? I asked for a supervisor and after a 10 minute hold, I didn't get much further. He suggested I take a death certificate into my local office and maybe they would refund a portion. I understand there are rules, but there is always room for exception. I would have expected a little more in my situation. Shame on you, Spectrum. read more

We moved here from Indiana, in August, getting cable was a hassle, but we ordered services from Spectrum, Wow, you talk about not knowing your butt from a hole in the ground. And hidden fees! The commercials are a lot of bunk, every time I see a Spectrum commercial I get angry all over again. We have cable and computer services from Spectrum. It should have been called Spam!!! read more

I'm at the point where I would rather pay more money to have different services than deal with Spectrum. On day one, a technician had to come out to install a coaxial cable. After 10 minutes of him being gone, I'm wondering why we still can't get on the internet. Come to find out he didn't finish the job and the cable did not have an end on it and was sticking out of the back of our house not hooked into anything, as well as a hole in our wall. Called Spectrum, of course they couldn't come out so they said they'd be out the following day. My fiance took off work to make sure somebody was here so that way we could get it figured out on day two. Spectrum was contacted five times yesterday, even though we had to wait on hold for 30 minutes a few of the times, and yet it's now day 3, the problem is not fixed, and we still don't have internet! No one felt the need to contact us yesterday to tell us that no one could come out, which is unacceptable. We're paying customers, and if you can't communicate with us and be out to fix YOUR UNFINISHED MISTAKE within 24 hours, I feel as though you don't need my business. read more

Got a smart TV to connect to internet and get all channels available on charter/ spectrum. I have all services but land line. Was informed I needed a cable box to get the channels. I have no room for a box. Just want basic programming. Was told that can not happen. Very frustrating. Will look to satellite in future. Customer for 18+ years. Not for long. read more

I've had charter for about 3 months. They told me over the phone that I would ruffly pay $130 a month. I have now paid over $700 in charges for just basic cable and their cheapest internet. Lots of hidden fees and crappy service. so I took my cable boxes back and got dish instead. Never going back to charter, they are thieves. read more

Pricey cable and net, I have a package with a land line for a price break, but who has/wants a land line anymore! I'm a full time student & work full time so I don't have much time to watch tv but at least once a week I notice it cuts out/ is pixelated like a satellite in a storm & we seem to have an internet outage at least once a month, not impressed but not many options... read more

Charter Communications is a scam. I've lived all over the US and this is the only company that REQUIRES me to get a digital box, so I can view all 200 channels they have to offer. I work full-time and just need some entertainment before bed. Every other company has a basic package that runs for $30 and you get maybe 40-50 channels. Not Charter. You're required to get the $70 (minimum) digital package that offers 200 channels with 175 of them being worthless. HOWEVER!! If you bundle and get all three packages, (internet, cable, and telephone) then you get them for $100. Who even still has a home phone? My 65 year old mother doesn't even have a home phone anymore. I want to know why I can't just get internet and cable for $60 without the digital box like I can with any other company in the United States. Well Charter, thanks to my phone having internet service, you went from a $60 a month potential subscriber to a $0 a month subscriber. You may say, well just get the package it's only $40 more a month. That may not seem like much but that's an extra $480 a year. That's a car payment, full coverage insurance payment, and a tank of gas. Thanks, but no thanks Charter. read more
