I requested installation and the joker on the phone set it all up and even MAILED ME THE MODEM BEFORE DETERMINING WHETHER OR NOT THEY COULD ACTUALLY FULFILL MY SERVICE. I contacted these conning motherfuckers on 3 separate occasions to tell them to send me shipping labels to send their garbage back to them but they NEVER sent any labels even though their LYING CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS swore they mailed them to me. They're only tasking it that way so they can send billing notices to those who still have their modems after a month's time in hopes they can make money off people FOR PROVIDING ABSOLUTELY NO SERVICE WHATSOEVER. First they sent us a modem we didn't need and then wanted us to give them the modem we purchased in exchange. We finally got that straightened out. Then we lost our Internet service because we were told our modem was too old for them to ping. Next we were sent a bill for equipment we didn't return after we were specifically told they did not want their the equipment for their old service back. It had been sitting in our garage for nearly 20 years. Next we relented and agreed to use their modem which it was supposed to activate using the Spectrum app, which of course it does not so in the last three days we have had to call technical support twice and have them get things working. Today it took approximately 45 minutes for the tech to get us back online. The single good thing about Spectrum is once you finally get through the techs on the phone are great. They are extremely patient and give clear instructions. so in the end I guess Spectrum's clown show at least gave us a chance to experience good tech support! The single thing I would suggest is not to waste time with Spectrum's online chats and chat bot responses. They are redundant and circular. Call them on the phone. PS. They now have become just like Verizon and Comcast in that they don't give you that much for how much money you pay and you never pay what they say you're going to be charged. They give you some nice, FAIR number and then tack on all these little charges that really add up to a lot. It's sad being as my family has had Directv for a decade and a half that after I cancel they raided my account 13 days before the bill has always been paid and left me with absolutely nothing for my family, literally. I've paid them every month for years and now they act like I'm evading paying them when it wasn't even time to pay the bill yet. Greedy! P.S. Our first rep changed our package which lowered our monthly bill and she confirmed that the channels that we wanted would still be available. After the phone conversation ended we discovered ALL of the channels that we specifically asked her about were unavailable. Called back. Got a different rep. Went through the entire explanation of what had just occurred. Couldn't get any satisfaction or explanation. Asked to speak to a supervisor who could not have been more uncaring or uninterested in trying to keep a customer. Encouraged him to review the phone recordings (you are recorded each time you call) to help prevent this problem from happening to another customer. According to the supervisor, our only option was to take us back to our previous package at $158/mo. We have an appointment for Xfinity to take over our services at the end of this month and will be disconnecting our DirecTV. One year is not up; so I returned today to get a new screen protector and it should have been covered. the manager asked if we "registered" it - well A. MY RECEIPT says nothing about that; the clerk said nothing about that - apparently a receipt is not enough. It is a "gottcha" - they wanted another $60 bucks. I just went to the best kept store in town - The Battery Store and they did a fantastic job for $15.00. Verizon store is always "No Can Do" - very consistent poor service.
