Warning stay away from time Warner!!!! Vary bad cable/Internet services, me and my family have had time Warner Cable/Internet every since we moved into are new home which is about a year and a half. When we first got it its was pretty good but after about 5 or 6 month of having their services the Internet constantly drop in and out multiple times a day for about an hour or two each time.. and frequently at times the WiFi/Internet would cut off so much or just stop work for a day or two making it so you had absolutely no WiFi/Internet at all leaving me to have to sit I'm my house after working 12 to 13 hour shift to watch the paint dry on my walls of my home. At this point I'm basically paying them good money for absolutely nothing in return, I find time Warner services and customer service to be lackluster and totally terrible please hid this warning and reframe from doing business with these guys I promise you, you will regret it... you have been warned!!!!! read more

If I could I would leave 0 stars! This service sucks, we had to change our bill because the prices were too high. We had TV and internet and apparently telephone services we weren't even aware of since they never mentioned it on the phone when I was complaining about surprise fees on my bill. We told them to just leave the internet and were told we had to pay off our balance to change our plan so we did, or so we thought...This week we had a bill with an amount way higher than what it was supposed to be! It was supposed to be $69.99 but it was $158!! After complaining the service rep told us it was error on the previous rep for not calculating correctly and giving us the wrong amount due but there was nothing they could do because it was a balance leftover and we had to pay it either way. So we said okay we wanted to talk to a supervisor and he didn't want to talk to us! The service rep told us he said there was nothing he can do either for us -_- So we said okay we want to cancel and when we were transferred that rep wanted us to explain our issue again and tried to justify it as well and we kept saying look we just want to cancel this not have to be told theres nothing you can do over and over again. My reason for my stopping in this office was to cancel a cable service that my Husband never added to his account. The customer service lady won't help me,due to my name was not on the account. Husband is currently deployed so he sent me to take take care of this matter. The cable service was added on late April and his already deployed. So who add that service without my husband authorization?? My children who's under age cannot add anything on the account their names is not on the account and neither do I! Sound fishy to me! If spectrum cannot remove or fix that service my husband "never" place on the first place, then how in the hell they have authorization to add things? Now answer that question? Why would I wasted my precious time coming in this place to take care of that one little problem? Found out today that I can't get community access channel for Riverside because the feed comes out of Perris. So even though I'm in Riverside I have to get stuck with Perris city info. Thanks for your wonderful service and my system rebooting every second so I miss my shows that I usually watch. Can't have my phone in a phone jack because I was told it's cheaper to have voice over internet protocol (VOIP). So fucking frustrating . read more

Very Very Very disappointed in the service we are receiving from Time Warner Cable/Spectrum!! Calling just about every other week it seems because of outage and we have only been with this company since July of this year 2016, mainly with TV but now it's everything phone and Internet as well with no exact time of when it may be fixed. They have my money for their services but I have no service!! Was a Verizon customer for 13 years until they went over to Frontier and started having the same issues for months we waited for things to become better but it didn't now here we go again!! Walked into this location yesterday to upgrade my service from internet only to the triple play package they offer. Tv, internet, and phone. I left the store without any issues. When I got home I noticed I had a missed call, they'd given me the wrong equipment. I returned to the store today and was I a bit of a hurry, I brought my issue to their attention and was expecting a bit more understanding and some consideration for my time, especially since they ef'd up my order the day before). I was told to sit down and wait my turn. There were no seats available as the store was packed, only one associate was behind their counter, and as if I didn't feel under appreciated enough, my name was entered into the waiting list screen completely butchered. If you have an option for service, go elsewhere. Unless you don't care what people call you, or enjoy having terrible customer service. read more

Switched to TWC from Directv and that was a mistake. You start out with a lower looking package but after you add in what you need to match Directv and it is not that cheap. First off they advertise free installation but add charges on after they do the installation. After a long chat with customer service I managed to get it removed. Then if you want whole house dvr then you need to pay for installation $50 and a trip charge of $40 if you dont get it done on your first order. Even after it is installed it is no where near as nice as the Directv system. The channel lineup is messed up and some channels are listed 2 or more times in the directory. The only thing going for then is no contract so you can dump them after the poor service. Stay with Directv for a couple extra bucks and save the headaches. read more

A technician was scheduled to come to my home (thomas) between 5 pm and 6 pm - he never came - I got a call from dispach at 3:30 pm and they asked if the technician can come ealier because he finished another job early - I was on my way to the store - I said I will be right back - the dispacher said he will be at your residence in 45 minutes. I was home waiting at 3:50 pm and at 4:50 I got a automated call saying Thomas was on his way I waited and waited - He never showed up... I called Spectrum and they said a tecnician will be at my home in 90 minutes - I waited again and no one showed up - I called and spoke with a really nice rep and I asked her if I could speak with a supervisor and I waited 20 minutes and asked how much longer - she said we dont have any supervisors available. I am so stressed out and have been with out my services for over a month. a teck was out a week ago but didnt address all my concerns - I mentioned tk him that my TV in the Master bedroom wasnt working and he said the tickek that he got was only for the internet modem and he couldnt fix my TV. Is this the kind of service you would want to pay for? I pay $180 a month and can get any service... read more

Worst customer service experience EVER. I would give negative stars if possible. After no less than six scheduled appointments, taking off work to meet these assclowns each time, they finally ran the 10' of cable they should have done on day 1. They repeatedly lied to me, saying service was available and sent subcontractor techs out to connect the service. First tech said no signal on the line, need a work order to lay a piece of line from pole to house (very short distance), and would call back tomorrow. No call back. Round two, a month later same thing, no call back. Round three, cust service said "yes, the work has been done" and scheduled another tech to connect. Same thing, work hadn't been done. We're at month 4 at this point, and they tried to claim they couldn't do the work because the Air Force base is next door. This is BS, as 1. The pole and cable are on my property, not the AFB, and 2. I work on that base and have intimate knowledge of the utility work there. Round 4, we'll send a TW tech instead of a sub. Tech calls upon arrival, I didn't even go meet him, gave the story, obviously work hadn't been done as the cable coming from conduit had paint on it from last time house was painted over five years ago. He initiated rush work order, and line was laid next day. Then, silence. No contact, no initiation of service. Round 5, cust service says hold while they check the construction dept, end up transferring me to some random dude in Phillipines. Finally say they can connect, and will schedule an appointment. I have my own modem and router, don't need them in my house, just turn the damn thing on. They pushed back, I insisted, I will not take time off to meet you again and I will not give up weekend time after wasting untold hours of my time with appointments and hold time on cust service calls. To top it off, I was talking with the last sub contractor tech, who showed me that the work hadn't been done (paint on the cable, etc) and if the connection isn't made, the subs don't get paid for the appointment. So they also screwed these subs out of hours of their time at least 4 different times. These people are THE worst, most hated company in the US, and now I understand why. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. These people are evil, incompetent, a-holes...and I still don't have service after 5 months. Absolutely unbelievable if I hadn't just lived through it. read more

TWC/Spectrum is poo; the problem is that they have the market on internet for our area, so we are stuck using them until another provider comes along. everytime i hear that Spectrum commercial stating how they are much better now that they've merged with TWC, i just wanna scream, LIARS!!!! we've had TWC for over 20 years and little by little they've INCREASED their rates; claiming to have better services provided. BULL CRAP!! i hate when i have to call them, cuz, i know they'll do nothing for us. finally we got rid of their cable services and just kept internet. we were paying for 100mbps speed when we had the cable/internet package, and was told for the price quoted we would keep 100mbps speed on just internet. well, as soon as Spectrum took over, we're told we have BASIC INTERNET up to 25mbps speed; and if we wanted 100mbps speed we would have to pay $10 bucks extra. and since i only have a verbal because changes were made over the phone, they tell me that's all they can do. WHAT THE WHAT!!!??? bait and switch, huh??!! i guess Spectrum thinks their customers are stoopid. okay, so now we pay the extra cost, but, when we do the online speed test when logged into our TWC account; we are only getting 49.23mbps - not 100mbps, hmmmmmm. off we go again calling them, and then the technician tells us that we are paying for "UP TO" 100mbps speed; not exactly 100mbps speed. hahahahah then why charge me for something that i will NEVER EVER NEVER EVER get!!!!??? this company is amazing. soooooo, we have a modem/router that can handle 343mbps speed, but, our service provider is charging us for 100mbps speed ... I know this not spectrum mobile but I have to say... I tried to bring my iPhone over to spectrum mobile they said I could not but they can send me a phone and take the SIM card out and return that phone. Within an hour of getting the new phone (without a SIM card) I went to a spectrum store they said I could not return the phone here you have to go to a mobile store but they opened a "ticket" to return the phone. I have to return the phone within 14 days... But the department has to call you within a few days. 3 days later I got a miss call and they closed my ticket on returning my phone. I called back and they had to restart this process. Again missed there call. I had to open up 5 tickets pushing this whole process way past the 14 day return policy. Now they are refusing to take the phone back and charging me for the phone because they will not give me a return packing label. I have called more than 15 times and talk to many people, I have been in many stores I just want to return the phone and not be charged for something I am not using. read more

On Friday I walk in to acquire a HD DVR cable box so that I can order the Mayweather vs Guerrero fight over the weekend. Customer service lady I dealt with that day was extremely pleasant. Handed me the box and additional equipment in an over-sized Time Warner plastic bag, perfect for carrying everything in. After the weekend, I return on Tuesday to return the boxes. I get in line with the over-sized bag and all the equipment in it and I set the bag on the floor to keep my hands free. Slowly the line moves along. Then the security guard walks over and mumbles something to me. I don't understand him so he uses a hand gesture and points at the bag and then points at the counter. At this point I realize that he wants to take the cable box and possibly check it in for me. So he takes it and rips the bag open which causes the cable box to drop on the counter and then tosses the remote somewhere behind the counter and walks away. I remain in line. I'm finally called to the counter by this black lady different from the one I had dealt with on Friday. She asks what can I do for you and I tell her that I'm there to drop off a cable box and I point to it which is about 5 yards from where I am at where the security guard placed it. She said I need you to get it. My jaw just dropped. I then explain to her that the security guard took it from me and placed it there and I feel she should be the one getting it. She doesn't budge from her seat and tells me that I need to get it so she can scan it in. I figure if I don't go get it they will charge me full price for this stupid thing so reluctantly I go and get it. This lady has very poor customer service skills for a person working directly for with the public. I feel that if they have this security guard taking people's boxes they should be the ones retrieving them from the location they've instructed him to put them. read more

I switched from DIRECTV to TWC. From day one I noticed a difference. The picture was not as vivid. It was almost like it was enhanced standard definition instead of true high def. The video quality just seemed a lot softer and I did notice that the audio was not that good either. The worst thing about my experience was the fact that TWC boast that their signal is more stable during inclement weather, where as satellite television will periodically lose signal and the video will lock or pixelate. I have noticed this at times of inclement weather with DIRECTV, but with TWC it was happening all the time, all day everyday, rain or shine. So to answer the question TWC TV vs DIRECTV? I have to give it to DIRECTV. The video and audio are way better. I had TWC for two weeks and called them back to cancel. Good thing you don't have to sign a contract with TWC. I was expecting a lot better but was majorly disappointed. TWC is my internet provider and their internet rocks. Far better than I experienced with ATT DSL. ATT DSL is terrible. Anyway, I'm back with DIRECTV. Don't give up your DIRECTV thinking that TWC TV is a better deal or may work just a well or perhaps better. I'm kinda glad that I experience this first hand, and hope that sharing this with you will keep you from wasting your time switching from satellite to cable. If having crisp, sharp, clear and beautiful video with equally good audio is important to you, stick with DIRECTV and avoid the disappointment of switching to cable TV. read more

I went online and ordered internet for $34.99 15mbs. When I came into the store to pick up my installation kit they told me that the order wasnt keyed in yet! Then they told me that they have a special promotion to offer me $39.99 for 50mbs or else I'd have to come back another day to pick up the kit. So I went ahead and took the offer not wanting to deal with the hour long wait in line which was ridiculous btw. So today, three weeks later I decided to test the speed on my internet and guess what I'm getting? 15MBS! I call customer service asking them why they are not giving me what we agreed on and their answer is that my area is not eligible for the 50mbs speed! And they couldn't figure that out at the store? Then they tell me to go back to the store to resolve this?! Absolutely incompetent people and terrible service. I swear as soon as i find out Verizon is available in my area I'm dropping TW Cable in a heartbeat! read more

It is going in three weeks now and my cable and internet are not connected. Each time I call they have a new excuse. Each time we call they have us trouble shoot which does nothing. The last time I refused to trouble shoot and requested someone be sent out and they threatened to charge $39 if I didn't at least try again for the tenth time. This is the fourth time someone was supposed to come out and they didn't call or show. When I called all they offered was $20 off the bill in which I shouldn't even be charged because the customer service is horrid on top of not having any internet or cable. this company is not worth your money. Well I was scheduled to have Spectrum cable, formerly Time Warner cable installed today. Well first they showed up without my DVR. Said they were out of them. Well in the beginning I told the sales rep that I needed the actual cable installed in two rooms. He said no problem they could do it. Anyway I have a.brand new house and wanted the cable fished between the walls. Well I was informed from the installer he doesn't do that. It would take another team. Then they tried to increase the price I was quoted. Well talk about pissed off. I told them if they couldn't get someone to wall fish the cable I was going to cancel. Guess they have better customers because they left. So no big surprise about the lying salesman and the unprepared installers. My suggestion is to stay away from spectrum because they don't have a clue. And I waited two weeks for this crappy company to show up. read more

I can't say how their phone service is as I don't have a landline. However, I do have Internet and cable. I've had no trouble with my Internet. It's just as fast as I've had with other providers. The cable on the other hand.... I'm paying more for less channels that I had with Comcast and charter. The first time they installed my box they had to replace the box. That right there should of been a sign. I've had the cable box replaced a few times which is ridiculous. The channels keep going out, both audio and visual. It seems like their customer service doesn't really care. Also when I first called I'm pretty sure the number I was given through my apartment complex was the guys home number.... that or else he brings his kids to work. I tried calling Verizon and charter and neither are available in my area. I'm hoping Google can get their stuff up and running quicker so I can drop this horrible cable. read more

Spectrum came out to our neighbor hood looking for the noise on the line source. It was our house and they put a filter on it to stop the noise for the other users in out area. That is great, I am glad they try to take care of problems and would have had no problem with this, except They never told us this the day they put the filter on the line. The driver reported that he left a door hanger on our front door - NO THEY DIDN'T. I was home in my home office with three clients and windows that look out on the street and front door, my wife was in the Living Room with windows looking out on to the street and front door. There would be no reason to leave a door hanger since we were there. Besides according to the tech we finally had out, the service Wearhouse has been out of door hangers for several months. Spectrum almost put my 29 year home business out of business since I rely on my internet for my business. All they had to do is tell me the problem and I would have called for a tech. to come out right away. The problem was several old cable lines that had just worn out from age. No one at the service desk, tech department or the corporate level seemed to care and just said that was the way it was reported, so there must have been a door hanger. Live with it. The only reason we have this service is because it's the only one available in our area.Internet is crap.the app sucks.Ive been with them for almost a year and because of that my rates will be higher when my contract is up.like it's a bad thing that I've been a customer. I never got my rewards card.they made some lame excuse so we wouldn't get it.just terrible. Cable has the same crapy channels over and over.you see the same channel like 3 times if you channel surf.i thought AT&T was bad but now I see that they where actually ok.i got my rewards from them.the cable was decent and the Internet was great. I had a horrible experience with Time Warner. I had to give them 1 star because they answered their phone. I had an appointment with them to install new service, so I took the day off of work. The day came and no technician arrived. I called them to voice my disappointment with their lack of service. I gave them my confirmation number and date and time of the appointment. They couldn't find the confirmation for my scheduled appointment but they did charge my credit card for one month of service. Interesting?! Well, I must have been hallucinating when I spoke to their representative on the phone, not! Why would I write down the date and time and the confirmation number and provided them my credit card information if that was not the case. I dislike companies that do not use logic and have their employees twist facts. I wish there was a consumer advocate group that would be able to fix their blatant lies about missing appointments. read more
