My parents got Frontier internet, they didn't like the service because it was not fast enough priced increased. They cancelled in May 2026 they knew they would pay that month and a cancellation fee. My parents are older I checked their bank statements and they still got charged for June, and July. When I called after I got the bank statements the customer representative said because it was because they did not remove the debit card. They did not reimburse them and said that they would remove the debit card as if that made it okay. I don't trust this company or how they treat the elder the service is not good, the over gauging is terrible, and they take advantage of older people. Don't use them. read more

Just signed up in April 2026 for the second time in over a decade. Stupid me thinking this time would be different because Verizon spent 5 billion buying them back. If I could give them negative stars I would! No internet on Tuesday evening when I only get 2 hours a night after work to watch TV before bed. First off they have horrible customer service as they force chat only an I had to threaten leaving to get a customer service number from the chat bot. Once you get through the horrible automated system you get sent to tech support for the next 45 minutes unplugging and waiting for service but nothing. The tech support says that a technician needs to come out because it is a bigger issue than a reset mind you I just signed up two months ago how could there be a bigger issue is the equipment made from poor craftsmanship or was the installer incompetent and did not do a good job? Worst of all is that no technician can come out until Friday May 29th 2026! Like more than 3 days! Do yourself a favor and run as fast as you can to get away from Frontier! Unfortunately, now that they're owned by Verizon since January the service has really gone downhill. They're offshore all their service text to India and they try to charge you $150 to come fix something at your house when their equipment doesn't work. You ask them for a refund for the time it doesn't work and they have to put it through the bureaucracy. Really crappy customer service. Too bad Verizon ruined a great local company. read more

The phone techs are rude and not helpful at all. The salespeople try to sell you unnecessary equipment that you don't need! Vincent goes above and beyond to satisfy his customers. There internet service is amazing. There customer service is absolutely garbage! They also dont disclose ALL THE HIDDEN FEES WHEN YOU SIGN UP! After my router died i called to find out where I could go get a replacement, I was told they didn't have any actual stores to go swap out my faulty router and I would have to wait 3-5 business days for a new router. After 8 months of service and having an awful conversation with the representative I decided I was going to cancel my service. When I recieved my final bill I was charged with an early termination fee of 17$ on top of a 50$ equipment restocking fee as well as the little taxs they added in with my final month. I went back with spectrum. They have local stores so you can go swap out your equipment when it fails. No 3-5 day wait oh and no restocking fees no early termination fees. Ill pay a bit extra for better service than Verizon can provide. read more

We have no access to nothing in our home. I work from home and been down all day. I've called 7 times today and I can't get no help from anyone. Internet is always disconnecting. Tech has to be called. They reconnect. It disconnects in the middle of the night. I chat with giga concerning the outage. It sends another tech. This has been happening since I had the service August 2024. This is the worst service. It's always stressful situations with the services not working. Giga has run out of answers and help. It keeps telling me to unplug. Unplugging stopped helping. They also said they didn't receive my payment. I paid my bill I in person at western Union inside Walgreen I have a receipt. 7 DAY MAXTRX SERVICE OUTAGE!!! Seems to only affect my house. my next-door neighbor is Frontier Internet is working fine. I can't communicate with anyone except a chat bot, or a phone bot. That tells me there is an outage and there is no reason to talk to anyone and hangs up on me. Every time I call they tell me that it's expected to be fixed later today, I've heard that BS for seven days now and it's just nonsense to get people off the phone. I can't even get a hold of Technical Support or any kind of human being to find out if it's really the possible service outage, or there is something wrong with my router. There is no way to communicate with this company. I am literally going to start calling other companies and the first one to get me back on the Internet is getting our business. We've been customers for several years and over the last couple of months have been noticing more and more ads for upgrading our Frontier service. Ironically, that's around the same time our service began dropping, buffering and becoming increasingly unreliable. We finally called in to see if we could get a tech out to check the incoming line since nothing changed inside our home. The rep began telling us the standard programmed response. She says she ran a diagnostic to check our connection and it was fine. We tried to explain that the interruptions were random and while we were on the line with her the service was working, so her results were not surprising, but she chose to tell us she would not send a tech out and preferred to argue, and at one point raised her voice and said, "IF YOU'LL LET ME FINISH!" Oh, he'll no! We immediately asked for a supervisor and she was not listening. We hung up and found an alternate provider at half the cost. We are enjoying our new service. When we called back today to cancel the Frontier service, the rep today said "I don't why she wouldn't transfer you to a tech to address your concerns. I don't know why she didn't offer you a credit." We already had a new provider, when she began to ask, "So if I can lower you monthly rate to half of what you were paying..." We said, "I appreciate your professionalism and had the first rep done anything you are offering right now, we would probably still be a customer, but it's too late. That one rep ruined it for us." I was told to wait another 1-2 hours and they never showed. 7pm on Christmas Eve they rescheduled for two weeks later. If you have this happens to you it is simple to file a small claim for $600 using California Civil Code 1722b. It is a slam dunk!!! Forms are straight forward and it is a small filing fee. I happen to really like Frontier. They are cheaper than their competitors like Spectrum. Like everyone else, prices do creep up every few months for their Internet plus WiFi. I am a senior and on a limited income and when the price went up again this last time, I called to see if it could be lowered somewhat. Customer service transferred my call to tech support and she got things done for me. Right now, I am back at the same charge I started out with after raising the price a couple of times. She said the price will be good for a year! If that doesn't happen I will call back, but I hope it will be the price she quoted. That will help me SO MUCH! Final update. Given initial issues, cannot justify 5 stars, but Frontier has made things right. The tech Daniel showed up early and was externally professional and knowledgeable. The quality of the internet is 5x better than what I had before at the same cost. Updated after escalation was able to address the re-scheduling issues. Will re-evaluate after the installation is complete. To be fair everyone I've talked to has been nice and sympathetic of the issue, until escalation got involved, they just could not do anything. After scheduling appointments over a month out, and confirming 2 weeks before install, no show for the installation. I received a text an hour before the end of the original install window that the tech has not started yet and due to potential of a missed appt, I may want to call and reschedule. I waited until after the install window passed, then called. After being on the phone for over an hour, the rep said I was all set for a tech the next day between 8 - Noon. 8 AM the tech calls to say he's on his way. 20 mins later he calls to say he's there, but he not. He's at some other address in another city. Call back to customer service and after another hour on the phone, they say the best they can do is install a week later. Throughout all of this, they have my cell and have been sending scheduling and apology texts. They have my address, I can login and see it is accurate on line. So their original Tech misses an install, got it, something took longer than expected. Great, reschedule, understood, but when you set up services over a month out, you should not fall to the end of the queue when they miss their appt. read more

On Yelp it was suggested that I go to a social media site, Facebook or Twitter, to help fix the problem with their customer service that I am having. That is very strange. Why can't calling the company do that for the customers? I tried calling yet again today (this is my approximate 13th call to them) and spent over 1 hour on the phone to try to talk to a specific person who can help me get my service started. The frontier rep was on the line with me while we were on hold for over an hour. At one point I asked her if she can check on my status and I told her my dilema. She gave me a different number to call for a 24/7 line (it was past 5 pm), told me it was the tech line, and she told me that tech would be able to help me with my specific problem. I asked her again to verify and she confirmed that it is the number and they are the only department that can help Me. I looked online and saw the same number she gave me under the customer service 24/7 info. I called the number, gave my info to the robot, and then it rang, only to be told that the office is closed and it hung up. I found another number and told the robot that I need to speak to tech services (bc that is what I was told). Through the tech person I found out that my current scheduled service is not in the system in the way I was told it would be. They also have access to some of the text messages that we receive from the company regarding our order, technician updates, etc., but not all. So this caused confusion on their end bc they have record of a text I received earlier in the morning yet somebody from the company sent me a text later in the afternoon that gave an opposite message, but they don't have record of the 2nd message. Why does a company not have the ability to see all communication from their own company? So now I'm stuck, I keep getting different explanations from different people every time I call. And I continue to waste so much time trying to call to get internet service to my home yet no progress is made. I've made over a dozen calls and have spent hours trying to do this. I don't know what to do, but I will not try to get help through Facebook. Facebook is a social media site, not everybody has it, and it is not a customer service solution. He came to install service for a neighbor and disconnected our service in the process. He went back to connect it in a rude manner and are continuing to have issues. If you think Spectrum sucks, Frontier is ten times worse than that. Here is my typical Frontier experience: Frontier Business: Our business mainline is down for two days. Called the rep. and was told it will take TWO WEEKS for someone to come and take a look. Stayed for two hours with them on the phone, finally got them to agree on sending someone in 3 days. For god's sake, this is a business mainline we are talking about. Representatives were rude like hell, and I think they really should get a reward for that. No kidding. As of today, our appointment is set from 8am to 12pm. No one has shown up and no phone calls. We decided to switch our phone company and will never go back to Frontier for good. We will spread our experience to our neighbors, friends, families, customers, and kids, letting them know how a business can run like this, The Frontier Experience. Frontier Residential (My Personal): For the $200 VISA reward card, I decided to go for their Fiber optic Internet plan. Scheduled installation appointments 3 times, got ditched 3 times, and take off from my work to wait for them at home 3 times. No phone calls and no apologies. Nothing. I switched from from Spectrum to Frontier because it had a good deal going on but it was the worse thing I could have done. They do not provide what they promise. Internet is so slow, and unreliable. Forget about getting a service tech out. Took me weeks to have someone come out and they were not able to resolve the issues. I cannot even give this company a star rating because giving it a 1 star is too generous (PS - when I tried to post this without giving a star rating, I received the command that I had to give a star so I chose 1 star. Otherwise, it would be no stars). I have been trying to speak with a live person regarding the outside access box and when I finally do, I keep getting transferred to the "right department" only to be told to speak with the "right department" and transferred again or disconnected. I don't think anyone there understands the the meaning of "customer service." After over 1.5 hours of trying to get the assistance I need, I was told to contact the local office and was disconnected without giving me a number because he said he "can't give [me] the number". So when I searched the Frontier Office near me, I see a list of numbers that returns into the telephone system that's I started with in the maze before the last person I spoke with.
