I got there around 10am to do laundry on one of there discount pricing days. So worth it!! Clothes got clean, driers were hot and at half the price I pay at my apartment complex. After noon it gets really busy, just get there early ish and there's no problem. read more

Pros: -There is a good amount of parking space, lots of washers, dryers, folding tables; you generally don't need to wait for one -It's near by a shopping center -Free WiFi Cons: -Water stain in the ceiling panels, (overall atmosphere and presentation feels dirty and gross) -The gasket and pocket where the door meets the machines are collecting a lot of dirt, lint, and all other s#!+ residue -You pay $.50 more if you use hot water option -Dryer gives you 5min/$.25 You can go a little down the street and get more for your quarters. read more

The large capacity washers are $7 but the credit card machine only submits $6.75, AND THE CHANGE MACHINES DON'T WORK!! Moreover, there are credit card slots on the dryers but one swipe only yields 5 minutes of dry time and there is no way of raising the time so save your money! I put 9 quarters in the machine and got 25 min dry time!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! THEY ARE NOT CUSTOMER ORIENTED, THE PROOF IS IN THE TELEPHONE THAT CALLS NOBODY AND THE CHANGE MACHINES THAT DONT WORK, and the lack of any help whatsoever! Skip this laundromat! My first time here. Clean environment. New machines. More expensive to dry. There are tables and chairs to sit at which may not be a good idea...in the hour I have been here,3 homeless people have been hanging out and using the tables to rest... One has a dog...there are kids here with parents doing laundry so that is not the safest. The owners may not want to not make it so comfortable to sit and loiter. They may want to take out the sink near the washers...I saw a guy filling up lots of water bottles that came in on his bike(not doing laundry). Make it less comfortable for people to just hang out. People doing laundry usually have cars where they can wait. read more

I just knew in my heart that this laundromat had potential and based on the response from management/ownership (they actually took the time to respond directly to my post), it is true. They care about their customers and providing a good community service and it shows! Their care and concern is very much appreciated. I'm shocked that this is in the middle of Marin. It is pretty dingy, and as a renter, I have seen my share of laundromats. This one is definitely one of the least clean I've seen. It was packed on the Friday afternoon when I went. There were dust bunnies all over the floor, and lost articles of clothing hanging everywhere. It just wasn't well kept, and you can tell there is no attendant there to help keep things up. I wish there were, as there was a man using the laundromat smoking on the bench outside the door and blowing smoke into the laundromat. I kindly asked if he would move away from the building, but he just smiled and didn't budge. If someone actually worked there, perhaps they could have asked him to move a further distance away. I ended up just sitting in my car to wait for my laundry. I will continue my search for something cleaner and with an actual attendant working! read more

I cannot recommend this laundromat due to lack of cleanliness, poorly working machines (I believe that one of the washers that I used didn't do a spin cycle as my clothes were SOPPING) and the fact that the dryers ate a bunch of my quarters without crediting me with the time. read more

This is perfect for what it is. The customers are nice and the owner is approachable. He asks what he can do to make the place better and takes seriously the customers input. All we need is an attached bar :) and music. read more

They have an employee who closes the store who is very aggressive and was trying to intimidate me simply for wanting to dry my clothes when there was an hour left in their hours and they were closing early with no warning. He seems like a dangerous person and I don't know what he would do if he could get away with it. His wife was also nasty to me. I left a couple messages for the owner but he ignored them. So I assume he either doesn't care, or encourages it. read more

This is an update to my previous review: So, every time I went back to this laundromat, it was better than the time before I feel the new owner (2015) is really conscientious and responsive. My only criticism now is unrelated to the facility - I hated being there when it was crowded - so pick the time you go carefully. I started going Tuesday afternoon and would get out before the after work crowd came , and it was great. The large capacity machines are great, work really well, and I saved money by doing large clothing loads at once in those machines. I like that the machines take credit cards, and all of the sink and bathroom facilities are handy, and place is clean. And free WiFi :-) read more

I have been driving out of my way to come here. It has a large folding area and lots of seating, and is one of the few that accepts credit cards. It is very clean, with the exception of weekend evenings after if has been busy. It has nearly 40 machines, and generally only about 3 or maybe four are marked as out of service. read more

Here's my story: I had read all the reviews of this place that said it was dirty, etc, but it's literally across the street from where I work so I thought why not? I should have listened to that nagging voice in my head. I normally do laundry at home but our washers were being replaced, so I had to hit the laundromat. When I first entered the place I did notice that it was dirty. But since it was almost 7pm, I could kind of overlook that. I put $10 into the change machine and got...nothing. I called the number on the wall and the owner apologized and said I could fill out a slip in the silver mailbox and he would send me a refund in a "couple of weeks." There was a silver box full of slips containing people's personal information, but I didn't feel too comfortable with that. When I mentioned Yelp, he suddenly became very obliging and offered to take down my personal information over the phone so he could get me refund out quicker. I gave him my full legal name and address. He mentioned that I could do my laundry using my ATM card, but informed me that I would not get the "cash discount." Boy, he wasn't kidding about the discount. If I hadn't been robbed of my cash, I would have paid $1.75 to wash. As it was, my card was charged $3.25 per load. What a rip off. Anyway, the guy called my cellphone back after a few minutes and said he was coming down to fix the change machine and he'd refund me at that time and give me the difference between the cash and the credit price. I was there well over 2 and a half hours and he never showed up. I was shocked when 2 days later I got a call from him saying that he is unable to process my refund because I didn't fill out a slip and leave it in the silver box. Why on Earth did I give it to him over the phone if I was supposed to fill out a paper?! A side note: many of the laundromat patrons did not believe me when I told them the change machine wasn't working--I wasn't the only person who lost money that night. Bottom line: this place is poorly run and is dirty as hell. At about 8pm, half the lights went out and we were all folding clothes in the dark. Ants everywhere. Dirt and mud everywhere. Broken machines. But the place was packed. And I mean packed. So he has no incentive to improve the place. I hope he is happy that he took money from a single mother with 2 teaching jobs who is just trying to make ends meet and get her laundry done. Don't give this place one red cent. read more

Not credit card friendly. Many of the "enter" buttons on the card machines do not work, so it's impossible to add more time/credit before you swipe. Especially annoying if you've already loaded your clothes and detergent in the wash/dryer. No restroom. The washers were fast and efficient, some of the dryers didn't work. read more

Speed-Dee Wash has lots of machines, including big ones I really like. Last time I was in, all but two of about 45 machines were working. It was very clean. I called the number on the wall with a question about the credit card system and the owner returned my call within one minute and was very nice and helpful. I don't use laundromats very often -- only when I have stop putting off the dreaded dog beds, bath mats and blankets job. I've been going here for several years and wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Twice, I've lost money in a broken washer, and both times the friendly owner gave me an immediate refund: once when I notified him by phone, and the other time when he happened to be onsite. I've also noticed that, unlike many other places, they seem to clean the dryer filters regularly, so we really do get good drying time for the money, which makes a big difference. My washer broke, so I went in search of a laundromat and found this one which was close enough and easy to get to. It had some decent reviews. All seemed to go well until I pulled out my last of 5 loads of laundry. As with another reviewer, the washer I used had a faulty spin cycle and my towels (of course it was the towels) were sopping wet. I did not want to wait another 20 minutes to go through an entire cycle on another machine, so into a bag they went and I wrung them out at home and put them through several cycles in my own dryer. The place was not all that clean - like it had not been swept for a few days and at least one of the machines I looked in had residual stuff in them. 3 machines had out of order signs on them. I got my laundry done. Did not use the dryers. Luckily, won't have to do that again any time soon. Good luck to you wherever you go. read more

I've been quite impressed the few times that I came in with oversized duvet covers and quilts. The wi-fi helps pass the time spent there. But I was most especially impressed the one time that a washer 'ate' my credit/debit card payment without providing service from the machine. Without entirely believing that it would make a difference, I nonetheless filled out the 'complaint' card, and provided an address. Lo and behold: I actually received a check to cover my loss!
