Stopped by for coffee and a quick breakfast sandwich on our way out of town. Parking lot was nearly full but it's shared w a smoothie place and other businesses. That being said, almost everyone was at UG and for good reason. The line was out the door when we got inside. I was discouraged and ready to angrily wait, but I was wrong! The line moved quickly and a staff were friendly for a busy morning. I had the summer blend hot and wife had an iced latte. The hot coffee was tasty. Low acidity, smooth and balanced. Only complaint was that it could have been just a click hotter for me. I don't necessarily want to burn my esophagus, but this was only lukewarm. The iced latte was delicious. We each had an egg sandwich on a bagel and they were terrific. Soft and chewy bagel with plenty of flavor. We took a couple cookies home from the case and Oh Em Geeeeee! Phenomenal! Now I regret not getting the bag of yesterday's bagels at the door. Even "day old" I bet these things are great!

Uncommon Grounds nails it on both counts and is a great spot to get a little work done to boot. Stopped by this location when I was in the area for some coffee and breakfast. I'm usually in search of sugar free options as well as milk alternatives. Uncommon Grounds had a couple sugar free options (yay! caramel and vanilla) and a few different milk alternatives. I got a caramel latte made with almond milk and it was dreamy. For my breakfast, I got the Mediterranean breakfast sandwich on a salt bagel. It came with egg, spinach, avocado, tomato, and a bit of pesto. Delicious! The only tiny thing for me was the tomato made the sandwich kinda slippery and difficult to eat so the next time I ordered it (which was literally the next day), I got it with double the spinach and no tomato. The service was really lovely and the prices are reasonable. They're a popular spot and were pretty busy when I was in and even with that everyone was so kind and helpful. Get to it!

The breakfast food is incredible, typically by Tyler-- a great cook and Chef. The breakfast burrito is out of this world. (As for it Tyler's way!) the coffee and lattes are truly very high-quality, but not overly pretentious. And if you know, then you know, when a coffee shop does it up too much and their prices are astronomical. That is not this place, they balance it perfectly by having good quality beans, roasted perfectly good quality, food, and breakfast items that makes starting your day such a treat by coming here. And lastly, the kickstart name comes from the owner's being motorcycle enthusiasts. The inside decor has a really cool and funky vibe to it with really awesome artwork and even a motorcycle inside. If you're looking for coffee, shops, and decent breakfast, do not hesitate to stop here!

Unfortunately, I can't speak to their food, but I do hope to return and try some soon. The motorcycle themed cafe is beautifully decorated and creates a space that you can comfortably work in or hang out with friends and family. It's warm, welcoming and inviting. I tried their Cinnamon Mocha Latte with almond milk and it was perfection in a cup. The staff is also super friendly and welcoming, and happy to answer any questions you have. I highly recommend Kickstart Cafe!

Alias Coffee partnered with 518 Craft and Primobotanica to open up in a shared space in downtown Troy, NY initially during covid. With good coffee and service, I'm sure they will have a successful future. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I do taste it so as part of the yelp experience, community CO was thoughtful enough to partner with a small and upcoming local coffee shop on National coffee day and get us in for a cup of coffee. I asked the Barsita to make me the best drink from the available choices and was given a Cappuccino, which I took a sip and handed it to my dad. My dad did say the coffee was good and from my tasting experience, the coffee was smooth and had a bitter after taste (like a few people I know like it that way) and the taske kept lingering fir an hour. I enjoyed an attractive cortado and am looking forward to tasting a locally made cranberry orange walnut breakfast cookie that I brought home to share with my wife. Service is friendly and street parking is easy; there is even a bus stop across the street.

I don't claim to be a tea expert... it is more of a novel-tea for me... but I enjoyed coming here and talking with their knowledgeable staff. Their certainly have a passion for their tea! There are lots of teas in the store... at least several dozen blends behind the counter and more in other areas... and they will make whatever you want if you provide a recipe. I lean towards fruitier or spicier teas and found a couple that were interesting enough to purchase and bring home. Because more of their teas are served loose, it isn't as simple as dunking a pouch with a string in a mug of hot water. But fear not, they have lots of various tea brewing accessories along the walls of their small shop area as well as some other interesting curiosities.
