Coffee is now ubiquitous with daily life in America, which brings me to Qamaria Coffee. Hatem and Munif are two Yemeni entrepreneurs with a passion for Yemeni Coffee and the joint goal of wanting to share it with the world. They founded Qamaria Coffee in 2019 to accomplish this task and in January 2024, they opened a location near Milwaukee in Greenfield, WI. Qamaria offers a variety of dessert options, including a Chocolate Tres Leches, Pistachio Tres Leches, and Caramel Tres Leches cakes. I went with the caramel version, which is described by the cafe as "A decadent caramel treat inspired by tres leches cake, creamy, sweet, and irresistibly smooth". If you've never had Tres Leches Cake, it's a light sponge cake soaked in three types of milk (evaporated, condensed, and whole) that's popular in Latin America. The cake originated in Nicaragua during the 19th century, so on first glance it's not exactly a Yemeni dessert. Doing some research, Middle Eastern variations exist that feature cardamom or rose water and some Qamaria locations do have a Rose Tres Leches. It's fine that the Greenfield location did not have that variety as I honestly would have got the caramel version anyway. My slice was perfectly moist as there was plenty of milk soaked in, but not so much that it made a mess or compromised the structure of the cake. The bottom layer was soft and Tiramisu-like in texture, while the cream on top was rich and thick. Personally, I found the caramel flavor to be mild, but delicious. As it is served chilled, it paired nicely with a hot cup of coffee (which they have a plethora of options to choose from). Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews

This coffee shop was recommended to me by a colleague so I dropped in before going to luxe bay. The cafe is bright and beautifully designed. They have a full cafe and full bar as well. I ordered their spDevine. coffee drink called the Honey Bee latte. It had a lovely honey jasmine syrup. It was only $4.25!! I also tried the cinnamon roll bread which was absolutely delicious but cost as much as the coffee lol.

Food: Ordered my usual London Fog Tea Latte, with a little lavender, a little vanilla, and extra frothy. I would have liked it served in a mug, but they only offer paper cups. The drink was nicely made. I am used to having the tea steeped first and then finished with frothed milk. In this case, the milk was frothed first and the tea bag was added afterward. The result was a very frothy drink, but the tea flavor was a bit weaker than I prefer. Service: I arrived close to noon and the place was about half full. There was only one person working, taking orders, handling payment, and making drinks. Because of that, it took a while to place my order. That said, the person doing all the work was super friendly and helpful, and took the time to make the drink properly. Atmosphere: The atmosphere is relaxing, with lots of big windows and natural light. There are several different seating areas with various table and chair configurations. There is counter seating, high tops, and overstuffed leather chairs. It was a cold day, but the space was very comfortable inside. Everyone was having quiet conversations and being respectful of the environment. Overall, a nice visit. It would benefit from a bit more staffing to speed things up, and ceramic cups for hot drinks would be a great addition.

This time we slated enough time to sit down and relax for a while before having to start the day. Everything from last year was still here - including the great food and service. My wife (g-free due to Celiac) tried their Mini Banana Bread Loaf and loved it - with no adverse reactions! Their specialty espresso drinks were again excellent (Blarney Stone Latte, and a Caramel Macchiato). ORIGINAL GOOGLE REVIEW from MARCH 2024: A very nice and uniquely decorated local coffee joint. Found them this year while in town appraising for the Destination Imagination Sectional Tournament. Needed to be on-site by 06:30 on a Saturday, so I appreciated that they were open early! Decided to come in vs the drive-through option. Nice decor that looks like a cross between a Flea Market and an Antique store. I appreciate places that don't try to look like "the other guys." Very warm and intriguing. A visual feast for those of us prone to adult A.D.D.! Had places allowing small groups to sit and enjoy if they wished. As a first-timer, I greatly appreciated the online ordering option, as we were just a tad behind schedule and coming in from Bluemound in Brookfield. Was easy to navigate their site on my phone. Arrived 10 minutes earlier than expected. Was easy to locate via GPS. Inside, the staff were exceptionally friendly. Had some conversation, my (delectable!) white mocha decaf, and was on my way before my original arrival time. A nice selection of coffee shop eats are available.

What I don't like so much is the fact that there is no foyer at the entrance. When the front door opens, and if you are seated nearby, you get a blast of cold air. Not sure what they can do about that, given the fact that they are part of a strip mall.

It kind of sticks out as there are houses and apartments all around, parking lots is a good size and there is a good amount of tables outside. Inside are more tables and a wall of bags of coffee for sale. Inside and outside are lots of seats but we were talking and wish they had some comfy chairs to sit in and chat. The menu features a good amount of options for different coffee and tea drinks with various syrups and extras. There are a couple of seasonal type specials too. There is a small bakery case with treats from Beans n Cream in Madison, but there isn't much food otherwise. A couple of Kind and Cliff Bars. There is a basket for food pantry donations as well and a local business bulletin board. When we stopped in shortly after 8am on a Saturday morning there was a steady flow of people. The line moves pretty quick and our order was ready in a short amount of time. I got an iced chai latte and my husband got a London fog latte and a breakfast scone. The scone was alright, filled with classic breakfast flavors, but not our favorite. The staff were great in explaining where the bakery items come from and so friendly. I do wish they had some other food items available but for coffee/tea, it's a great stop! Overall a good coffee shop but I wouldn't really stop in for more than that. I would stop again for a drink!
