I get a little nervous when I see bakery wrapped individually in plastic, but the Lemon Scone I had was very good (like a good scone, it was more dry, and crumbly). Got great customer service by Mallory and Matt - thanks! When we arrived there were several tables with small groups. But by the time we left the place was packed. We came from San Diego to visit this cute town and this coffee shop is our morning stable. It is great located next to the 4th of July parade - an iced coffee is kinda essential to watch parade in this warm summer day. I got their seasonal special - it's a dark chocolate pecan drink, I asked for less sweet, decaf and almond milk. My husband had a double espresso. Both of us enjoyed our drinks, and the barista is professional and friendly. I think my coffee is better than the taste of almost coffee shops in San Diego, I loved it. We also tried their breakfast items, I had a ham and cheese crepe and my husband had a breakfast sandwich, the size is huge and the price is reasonable. Also they are delicious! There's been so much turnover since my first review, it is time for an update. The coffee is still good, the place is still pleasant and quaint, but they've joined the ranks of so many other coffee shops and the now only serve in disposable cups and plastic lids instead of ceramic cups and saucers. All the food is wrapped in plastic. Of course if you remember to bring your own cup in, they will use that, but I do miss the time when I could order in and enjoy an espresso or coffee from a proper cup and saucer and just relax. Oh well time marches on, and so does the onslaught of non-recyclable waste. read more

This is a nice cozy place, but a few weeks ago the heavy set young lady with dark hair working behind the counter went outside for a cigarette break. Outside is ok...if it's not where others are already sitting and then have to get up and leave in the middle of their coffee, and to make it worse the smell of smoke on the person goes with them inside the cafe making it stink. Sooo we left and hope to try to return when a Non Smoker is working there. Everything else is fine. Good coffee and great decor. read more

I was in search for a cute little town with a coffee shop so I went to Greendale WI where I found this cafe. It was cute and clean in a nice location. There were tables outside where you could sit to sip your beverage! My coffee was the right temperature for me and very tasty ! It was a chocolate au lait which is chocolate coffee and steamed milk ! The scone was tasty but it would have tasted better if it was warmed a bit to take the edge off and it also would have given a fresher baked goods approach! My daughter liked her caramel latte also . The staff is really nice and always helpful. We came here with a large group and the staff was really nice and helped us get all the orders fast and got every single one correctly. I often work remotely from Broad Street Coffee when I'm waiting to pick my son up from school. This is a cute, quaint little coffee shop in the heart of downtown Greendale. During busy times it can be hard to find a seat. There's a fair number of regulars and coffee clutches. The employees do a great job of remembering and chatting with customers. Prices are quite reasonable. I typically order a mug of coffee with steamed soy and a muffin and it costs less than $4.50. The coffee is good. Pastries can be hit or miss. For example, I really like the muffins, but the scones can be rock hard. (I think they order their pastries from a company in Madison.) There's free wifi and you can sit outside on nice days. All and all, a great, locally-owned place to drop in or to hang out for a while. read more

Broad Street Coffee Company is a cute little coffee shop ideally situated amongst the nearby stores that cater to both locals and tourists. On a nice day there's seating outside that's always at a premium for those who want to read the paper, have a cup of coffee, and relax after walking the dog in the nearby park. The weekend mornings are the busiest as people stop here before they start their day. Although there are a few seats inside as well, on early mornings, or when the outside seating is full, it's hard to find a place to sit It's not the free wi-fi that has people coming in, though, it's the coffee. It's perfectly blended fair-trade coffee served by baristas who at least give the appearance of caring about the finished product. It's a local shop within walking distance of most of the small city of Greendale and hasn't lost that home-town feel. read more

Pretty cool little coffee shop. Has a very comfy vibe. Got my morning caffeine here one morning - a medium cup of their dark roast. They had all their Christmas decorations up - so the place felt very festive! They have a sign up in the coffee shop that states that "...in Historic Greendale, WI." Found this little jewel thanks to yelp! After a doctor's appointment I really felt the need for something sweet! Yelp directed me here to the Historic Greenfield District a place I had never been to during the 1 year I have lived in Mke. The area is full of cute shops! I ordered a Turtle Latte (did I say I wanted something sweet?!). It was yum and not cloyingly sweet. Along with it I had an apple strudel - which was good. The assortment of cookies and pastries made it difficult to decide what I wanted! I brought home some excellent decorated Christmas cookies. The owner was in the process of putting up the decos and lights on the - Christmas music made me feel less of my bah humbug mood! I really enjoyed my time spent there and will def return!! read more

I have been going here 4-5 days a week for 10 years and have been patient with the new owners/management but monday 7/3/23 was the last straw and will NOT be going again.The coffee was luke warm at best and the medium roast (DIY) pot was empty again and I was told that they will have to make another pot,it should only take a few minutes. This has happened to me 3 out of 5 times for months now and the training should be over but I do not see any changes in the operation and will ealk to the bakery for my coffee from now on. This was a nice coffee shop until new owner took over and does not seem care or have any idea what to do next. TOO BAD !!!!! read more

I drive by this place regularly, and have never had a chance to stop until this morning. The place is cozy, cute, and busy with many locals even at 6:30am. The barista was quick to acknowledge me and take my order. I opted for a medium cherry blossom latte with skim. When the barista handed me my drink, she said, "it might be a little hot. I was chatting and don't multi-task well." I didn't really think much about it, paid the $4.65 for my coffee and left. Yeah, it was hot. I was at work by the time I could drink it. Actually, the milk was really scalded and my "coffee" was actually more like a slurry. Super gross, and I'm pretty irritated that I wasted five dollars. Won't be back. read more

Located in downtown Greendale, this is a very cozy little cafe that offers a wide variety of coffee, teas, pastries, and even breakfast food. I really like the fact that they try to source as much of these as they can from local suppliers and roasters. It was on my first trip here that I discovered my love for Earl Grey tea. The woman behind the counter was very helpful in recommending which one was the best. Another cool thing about this place is the artwork on the wall. And it's for sale, too! One of these times, I am going to take a piece home with me. With the cold weather settling in for the foreseeable future, I will definitely be making some trips here to get my Earl Grey tea, and also try some of their coffees as well. read more

Nice coffee shop on Broad Street. It serves its purpose. Serves Anodyne coffee (I believe) and has a delicious Chai tea. Very small, but in the summer you will want to sit outside anyways. Weekday mornings has a pretty regular crowd of cronies all sitting on a leather couch discussing village gossip. This place will become quite crowded on weekends, especially in the summer when the farmers market is happening or other Village events. read more

Finacé and I are new to the area and got sick of Starbucks. We were looking for a cute coffee shop in the area to make our new coffee date spot. Found this place on google, 11 minutes away, closed in 15 minutes. Decided to go anyway (yes I know that's rude in the serving world). We get there are the barista is happy to help us. We get three handmade coffees and three muffins. He happily boxed our muffins to go and answered our questions about the place. Already have plans to go again this week to try a different drink! Very quiet on a Thursday afternoon. Grabbed a decaf coffee and a gluten free carrot muffin. The decaf coffee was really, really delicious, which is rare for decaf! The muffin was also very tasty. It didn't taste gluten free or have a weird texture. The coffee shop itself is fairly small, but has cute seating and couches. The drink prices are really reasonable. It takes a lot for me to write this. I vehemently want the little guy to survive and thrive in an era of Starbucks, Walmart, etc. Stopped in on Sunday 4/23. It was fairly busy, but nothing crazy. There were maybe a total of 4 groups of 2-3 people each. There were two young ladies behind the counter as well as a guy who seemed to either be the manager or owner. I'll be succinct with this, and I really hope the owner sees this does something to be a better coffee shop. It took probably 25 min for us to get one coffee, 2 breakfast sandwiches, and a pastry. Not the end of the world, but there is absolutely no efficiency in the back of the house. The two girls were not working together at all, and the same person who took your order then went on to prepare your order. Don't do this. Whoever is taking the orders should take them, getting everyone's order who is in line. There should be one person in the back of the house strictly making coffee. It's a coffee shop. When the person who takes the order gets done, start to help out by getting baked goods or preparing hot sandwiches. If someone orders a small drip coffee, it should take you less than 1 minute to get that out the door. Now on to the quality. We got two breakfast sandwiches, I think it was sausage, egg & Cheese. The breakfast sandwiches were literally the worst I have ever had in my entire life. This includes frozen sandwiches you get from the grocery store. The Jimmy Dean frozen sandwich is easily 10X better than what you're serving. Mine didn't have any cheese, the bread was super hard and chewy (exactly what happens when you microwave bread for a long time), the sausage was literally still frozen in the middle and the egg was cold. I know you can get better quality than this. If you must, just buy them frozen and nuke them. Again, I'm only writing this b/c I want the owner to know how bad things are and fix them. I will gladly take this down if you ask me b/c I don't want to negatively effect your business. I just want you to know people are complaining, The people right next to us outside agreed that these were the worst breakfast sandwiches he had ever had. You can't run a great business this way.
