A couple of years' reviews (okay - so I am a bit late on some of my online stuff!_ THIS YEAR - 03/15/25: Second time stopping by (DI Tournament related again!). This time we slated enough time to sit down and relax for a while before having to start the day. Everything from last year was still here - including the great food and service. My wife (g-free due to Celiac) tried their Mini Banana Bread Loaf and loved it - with no adverse reactions! Their specialty espresso drinks were again excellent (Blarney Stone Latte, and a Caramel Macchiato). ORIGINAL GOOGLE REVIEW from MARCH 2024: A very nice and uniquely decorated local coffee joint. Found them this year while in town appraising for the Destination Imagination Sectional Tournament. Needed to be on-site by 06:30 on a Saturday, so I appreciated that they were open early! Decided to come in vs the drive-through option. Nice decor that looks like a cross between a Flea Market and an Antique store. I appreciate places that don't try to look like "the other guys." Very warm and intriguing. A visual feast for those of us prone to adult A.D.D.! Had places allowing small groups to sit and enjoy if they wished. As a first-timer, I greatly appreciated the online ordering option, as we were just a tad behind schedule and coming in from Bluemound in Brookfield. Was easy to navigate their site on my phone. Arrived 10 minutes earlier than expected. Was easy to locate via GPS. Inside, the staff were exceptionally friendly. Had some conversation, my (delectable!) white mocha decaf, and was on my way before my original arrival time. A nice selection of coffee shop eats are available. read more

Stopped in for a couple of London Fog Tea Lattes and to listen to the live music performance. They do a nice job with the London Fogs; great texture, good steep, the temperature was right, and served in a ceramic mug. What I don't like so much is the fact that there is no foyer at the entrance. When the front door opens, and if you are seated nearby, you get a blast of cold air. Not sure what they can do about that, given the fact that they are part of a strip mall. read more

It's a cute place, kitchey antiques and stuff all over the walls and stacked on shelves. I feel like I'm back in my grandmas basement. Mismatched chairs and tables from the 70s, maybe older based on the prints. I feel like I'm the only one in here today that remembers seeing and using a LOT of this stuff when was younger! It's definitely unique and fun. There's a lot of little seating areas as well, like tiny conversation pits near the entrance. One in front of a fireplace looked particularly cozy. I noticed a couple shelves with items for sale, likely from local small businesses. It can get really loud in here, which is to be expected with the high ceiling and large open area. Unfortunately that also means it can be difficult to have a conversation with people at your table. I chose to visit for lunch since I was in the mood for something light and new to me. What I did not expect was to leave still hungry. I ordered the equivalent of a caprese sandwich, however the tomato slices were so thin, the cheese sparse, and the pesto was almost nonexistent - if not for the green stain on the bread, I'd have thought they forgot to even add it. Definitely not a sandwich worthy of the $13 price tag. No complaints on the drinks. I wouldn't mind stopping in again sometime for coffee, but if you're hungry for more than a bakery case item, you may wish to go elsewhere. read more

Really really sweet staff here who are willing to help. A lot to look at while waiting for your order and cute decorations (though a little busy lol). The service was a bit slow so definitely plan to get here ahead of time if you're on a crunch. I got the ham, egg and cheese on an everything bagel with cream cheese. It was really enjoyable! I also got the harvest coffee and it was good though a bit sweet and the apple syrup had an interesting after taste. read more

Huge emphasis on think local! This coffeehouse is a cute spot to stop in if you're in and around the Muskego area or looking for a place that leans into vintage decor, eclectic and vibrant knick knacks, and the energy of a space where everyone knows each other. I didn't try out the food here, but they serve Anodyne Coffee, so went with a iced Americano. 4/5 for the bold, smooth creamy texture that I was craving this morning. I would've just hoped for more seating space; with so much decor, I feel like it made for more of a crammed space, smaller tables, crowded seating. Otherwise, there's a parking lot, free Wifi for getting work done, and eager baristas! read more

Been coming here for a long time, but since the latest change in ownership, the service has gotten much slower. We met the new owner a couple of times, and he's a nice guy, but there's something wrong with the management style. We go there at least 4-5 times a week, and there always seems to be new faces behind the counter or at the drive-up window. It was a 14 min wait for one mocha yesterday, and that has not been unusual lately. The woman in front of us had her credit card out that she was waving at the window for someone to notice her, she eventually left. We'll give a few more tries, but a DW just opened closer to us that might be the place to go. read more

So after golfing, we came over here cause it looked nice looked like it was gonna have some nice coffee ended up getting a red eye and it was sour and half cream then my bagel with egg and cheese was cold. It wasn't cooked. The cheese wasn't melted. It isn't fresh egg. It's a hockey puck. It was cold undercooked. Please save yourself and don't come here. read more

Such a cute coffeehouse with lots of character! The inside is cozy with a couple of different types of seating. There are windows that let in plenty of light and there's a ton of eclectic decor lining the walls. They happened to have live music which was a lovely surprise when I stopped by, and I think they have live music every Sunday morning. Didn't get to try their food this time around, but I love that they have a pretty expansive menu with an assortment of options from baked goods to sandwiches and breakfast items. The coffee is amazing! This is the only place around that doesn't fill the cup full with ice when you order an iced latte- instead, light ice seems to be the default. Iced coffee is so much better when it's not watered down by too much ice- you can really taste the flavor of the espresso, and it tastes great! It's smooth and doesn't taste acidic at all. The atmosphere is warm and eclectic, and it seems like a great place to meet up with friends. My only complaint is that I wish they would invest in some sturdier lids on the iced coffee cups. Multiple times, the lid has popped off while I'm walking to my car, making me spill coffee on myself. You really have to be careful with them- bumping the lid or squeezing the cup will cause the lid to bounce right off. Definitely not something to try to sip on while you're driving. Other than that, this place is great! read more

I love this place and I don't go here nearly enough. This morning my wife suggested that we go to Vintage Grounds for breakfast and I agreed. It was a cold, rainy morning. I had forgotten what a wonderfully warm and welcoming place this is. Playing on the theme of "vintage," there is a plethora of antiques on the walls and throughout the shop. The 1950s-style tables reminded me of the one my parents had, along with the dial telephone on the wall. The pay-it-forward board at the counter has notes for specific people where someone has already paid for the meal. The person fitting that description just has to take it off the board and hand it to the person taking the order. One that caught my eye was "for a father alone on Fathers Day." Oh, yeah, the food. I almost forgot about that. I ordered a croissant with egg and ham and it was splendid. It came warm and on a real plate. The cranberry muffin was moist and tender. And the worker who brought it to us, despite the busy atmosphere, came with a smile. Compared to the almost-industrial look of a Starbucks, coming to Vintage Grounds instead is a no-brainer. read more

This place is AMAZING! Love it SO much. The coffee is absolutely fantastic. The staff could not be any friendlier, just the sweetest people. Additionally, all of their food is delicious, homemade and fresh. The drive thru is convenient but if you have the time, stop in and get the full experience. The ambiance is awesome. So many cool decorations, furniture, unique gift baskets and lots of local artisan pieces for sale. I was able to meet the owner on one of my many stops here and she is one of the nicest sweetest people I've met. She said her goal in opening the place was to create a community gathering place with an awesome vibe where people could come relax and enjoy. Haven't had food here yet but have had coffee twice and like it! Due to COVID we have only been to the drive thru. We walked up once since we live close. They gave our dog a little cup of whip cream with a dog treat which he loved. Both times I've had the Carmel macchiato with almond milk and it is really good! So smooth. Vintage Grounds Coffeehouse is a definite vibe and reminds me of my local hometown coffee shop. When I used to live in Big Bend I would make the drive to Vintage Grounds Coffeehouse at least once a week. Their coffee shop is comfortable and quaint both inside and outside. During the summer months, the coffee shop will have local artists play outside. It was always relaxing to get a cup of coffee with some friends and check out the local talent! I've been here a few times and each time it gets better and better. Today I had a bagel Breakfast sandwich and it was outstanding. Washed it down with an ice cold Carmel macchiato that was perfect. The inside of this place is amazing and fits Muskego perfectly. All the staff was super friendly and were making sure we were all safe following all the covid protocols. This is such a cute coffee shop! Very friendly and helped us right away. Their drinks and food came out quickly which we appreciated. I got a cold brew and it was good. My sister got the sweet chai and she said it was good too. The breakfast sandwich was tasty. Overall a great experience. My first time here. Its a funky little joint that certainly lives up to its name Vintage grounds. The decor is of vintage accessories to the vibe of the older chairs to the old typewriter displayed its cute and inviting. I had a caramel apple spice latte hot it was delicious the spices of cinnamon and the great flavor of apples really come through and you get your espresso for your caffeine kick. It really felt like fall in a cup. So tasty. The worker was friendly and service was quick. They have breakfast, bakery and lunch options and if you feel you want a little buzz in your day they have alcoholic drinks too! ( My kind of place haha). I have been looking for a local small business coffee shop. This place is it. The main thing that sets it apart for me is the wide selection of sugar free syrups that are available for the lattes. Most places only have vanilla and hazelnut and this place had at least 10 flavors. It was delicious and this is my new go to. read more

I would go here almost every weekend over the summer, for decent coffee at a place that was close to home, open early, with outdoor seating, and importantly NOT a Starbucks. My main complaints have been that (1) the inside set up is way too cluttered and crunched for space - you got people in line to order mixed with people standing up against furniture waiting for orders that pop out at a tiny space of counter surrounded by a hoard of over-priced "gifts" that people probably never buy (I always imagined they could re-design and pare down their furniture and/or random gift collection, but oh well), plus sometimes they don't call your name with the drink so you don't really know what's yours when there's several people around and (2) the price of food was a bit startling for what you got. Now that they've increased prices, it is sort of at the point where it just isn't worth it. Even before the increase, I realized that my partner and I could get a sit-down, full breakfast at Rainbow Restaurant (which is quite good) for about the same cost as our "grab n go" breakfast at Vintage. I'm sure there is an intelligible explanation for this of which I am ignorant, but the bottom line is that there just isn't much benefit in going here (rather than other nearby places) beyond the convenience of it, which at the rate it's going, I could do without. But for those who do want convenient, more 'high class' coffee that isn't Starbucks (and are willing to pay the price), then this will do the job. read more
