I had my three year old with me so we ordered the blackberry brown sugar latte and a kids hot chocolate. She picked out a blueberry muffin and I had a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. That muffin? Excellent. I was honestly a little jealous I couldn't steal it from her. My sandwich was great, exactly what you'd expect from the name. I really enjoyed the latte! It's not a flavor I'd normally go for and almost went for the cookie butter latte but I'm glad I tried something new. As for the hot chocolate--I've never seen my child finish a hot chocolate. Ever. She inhaled it. The shop itself was way bigger than I expected. Super welcoming and open with plenty of space and seating. It was pretty crowded but there was also still plenty of seating. We ended up sitting close to the register (I let my daughter choose where we sat) and the people behind the register were on top of it. One person overheard me tell my daughter I needed to go ask for a to go box and they grabbed one without me having to even get up. They were very kind and attentive! I really appreciated how welcoming the atmosphere was. I'm looking forward to going back soon!

It's bright, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed without trying too hard. The colorful mural alone is worth taking a minute to admire. The baristas were incredibly kind and never made me feel rushed while I debated what to order (a dangerous amount of responsibility before caffeine ). They happily walked me through the menu, and I ended up with the Zebra iced latte--which was smooth, perfectly balanced, and one of those drinks where you're disappointed when you reach the bottom of the cup. I skipped the pastries this visit, but after seeing the display case, I've already given myself an excuse to come back. Whether you're looking for a quiet place to work, catch up with a friend, or just enjoy a really good cup of coffee, Niyyah has that warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer. They have various food items but I absolutely LOVE their peanut butter energy balls! In fact that is why I came to this location as this is where the magic happens. They make them here and send them to other Tinker locations! They are the perfect blend of savory and a tad sweet and go super well with their coffee and/or London Fog tea. Yum! I will freely admit to buying all they had on hand, and now can enjoy them at home. Yay! I also ordered a lemon mint refresher, but they were out of mint so it would just be a lemonade. She was great at communicating when I walked in that she needed a few minutes and then would be able to help me too. Another time I went with my parents on a late morning Saturday. My mom and I both loved our drinks, but we knew what to order. There were multiple people working behind the counter, but the barista taking orders was not friendly or very helpful on this particular day. My dad did not know what to order and asked what tea is refreshing and is one that the barista would recommend. The barista said that the green tea is really popular, but did not ask whether he wanted it hot or iced or give a recommendation for that. The tea came out hot on a hot day where we planning to walk the Monon and check out other local businesses. To be fair, I did ask him if he wanted me to ask for the drink to be remade or to get him a new one as I had overheard his order and also assumed it would be coming out iced. He said it was fine (but then complained on our walk). This was a bit disappointing. There have been times I have walked out after a few minutes of no acknowledgement from baristas here. It is not a cafe that I would want to sit in and work in as a lot of the space does not look workable. The last time I did come in with papers I planned to read in between appointments, I did not want to put my bag on the floor or my papers on a table because both were dirty. The book page wall has seen better days and would benefit from a revamp. I love the outdoor area though and the can tops are really cool. There is a lot of potential here, but when staff appears like they do not want to be there it makes customers not want to be there either. I would also urge the owners to be more receptive to criticism. The TikTok videos about Prufrock did not influence my review, but it did encourage me to leave my own review based on my own experiences.

Service was friendly and prompt despite it being a one woman show at the time. Overall, it was a positive experience. They had a handful of outlets which make it convenient for remote work. My latte was good, but I find that vanilla syrup in Matcha sometimes taste like marshmallow, and that's just not my favorite. It was also incredibly loud and I had to go outside to take a call. Not sure if it's because it was busy or the acoustics just amplified things or what. The restroom also didn't have any soap. On the plus side, there is a parking garage attached and it's free. Every member of their staff I came in contact with was fabulous as well. Overall, cool neighborhood coffee shop. I would return if I lived nearby.
