This is great to provide you with options when you decide to switch up your order. I believe Black Rock's service is amazing. Their baristas are consistently friendly, quick, and efficient from getting your order to making your drinks. The service is laid-back, where I don't feel pressured to hold a conversation or talk about my day (you know what coffee spot I'm talking about). Sometimes I'm still trying to start my day and just need my caffeine fix before talking to people, this is why Black Rock is great! As for their ambiance, the interior/exterior of Black Rock is modern yet cozy. It's always clean and have plenty of natural light if you would like to hang out with friends or study for school. Cafe con Leche is located in the American Eat Co. food hall. The location opened promptly 8 am. An employee of Cafe con Leche greeted my co-workers and I with positive vibes. I immediately ordered a 16 oz Cafe con Leche, however the location was out of their house coffee. I was disappointed to say the least, but I was given multiple recommendations for other menu items to try. I ended up trying the Cubano Latte, which was flavorsome. It's definitely worth trying. The ambience of the location is chill. I love the colors and the display of the business. I absolutely plan to visit this location again the next time that I am in Tucson. I have to try the Cafe con Leche; it's a thing for me.

Since we are unfailingly friendly customers, as so many servers are, & because there were only 6 other customers at your coffee shop at the time, sharing our experience is warranted. We visited the Main Gate shop just after noon on Saturday, 4/18. The barista was wearing a cap & O'Neill-branded t-shirt; he has a salt & pepper beard. Requesting my cappuccino in a ceramic cup, he stated, with obvious exasperation, "You can just say 'for here'." He was also visibly irritated when we requested 3 Dirty Chais of various sizes & shot strength, as if this request was overly complicated. We would have ordered food, but he was so unwelcoming we did not. Nor did we linger. We have visited this location other times and have only been treated warmly. Clearly this barista does not represent the customer service your employees normally provide. You can train people to make a good coffee. Training them to be pleasant is more complicated & best documented. Hence, this review. An unpleasant experience like this has no place in Tucson. It's not who we are & it's not who you are either, I know. We hope this gentleman finds another line of work soon

(He orders the same thing at every place, a vanilla latte) He asked the employees if it was the correct coffee and let them know it did not taste right. Instead of remaking it or apologizing to rectify the issue, they were rude and unopologetic. The employee told him, that's how we make it here and that they would not remake it. They also said they have plenty of customers, so us not returning would not hurt their business. This is now the second time my husband has not had the best experience at this location. I did taste his vanilla latte and it tastes like dirty milk. I'm disappointed in their service and now the coffee as well. I'm sad to leave this review. My husband and I use to come here quite often. We have recently been visiting many of the small locally owned coffee stores around Tucson. One, to broaden our coffee buds and two, to support the local small businesses.
